Everyone is calling Silva to win, I say Chuck is going to upset you all.

i agree with you….only because he is comong from pride and they havent showed us nothing in the ufc….except rampage but his is comming against forrest.
If wandy and chuck fight the way i have always seen them fight then for some reason i also feel chuck will win.
But right now it is down right impossible for me to make a prediction w/ the different training that these fighters probably went through, not to mention I have never seen chuck or wandy show this much respect for their opponents. Its going to be a great one..
Poor chuck 1more loss after this one and his career is over, hopefully he fights shogun next even doh i doubt the fight would happen would be great booster for shogun get him back in the spotlight.
Now that the Giants/Patriots game is going to be on CBS and NBC, do you think that will effect the buy-rate for the PPV?
This one is just too damn hard to call. I hope Chuck shows up, unlike his last 2 fights. He’s got much more on the line in this fight. If he looses, he’s a UFC veteran who seriously drops in the rankings. If Wandi looses, he’s a UFC newcomer (not MMA newcomer) who can use the “this is my first fight in the cage, as an excuse.
Wanderlei did very well against Dan Henderson and before Dan got the over hand looping throw that knocked Wanderlei down, I’d say it was a close match. Wanderlei beat Dan the first time they fought and Wanderlei beat Rampage Jackson twice one by TKO and one by KO.
Chuck lost twice to Rampage by TKO.
I see Wanderlei winning!
Even though they’re both coming off losses, I can’t wait to see this fight. They should go Toe2Toe until one of them drops. Hopefully we get see at least 2 rounds!

are you serious buddy??? he has three fights in the ufc, he’s 1-2. anyways i give it to chuck, he is more likely to drop silva with one shot but i wouldn’t bet much money on it
CHUCK KO’S WANDERLEI!

Those loses in the UFC were earlier in Wandi’s career… Wandi will lose a lot of credibility but probably not quite as much as Chuck if Chuck loses.
double ko
Wandi has alot more ways to win than Chuck does. Both coming off loses..I see a slow start..their not coming out swinging..I see a late 1st round flurry…second round Ko for Wandi. He will not be reckless..he`ll have controlled aggression. He is in shape..he has seen what has happenend..to da Spida..Page..Shogun..Nog..him having this fight late in 07 from losing to Dan in Feb. Gives us as fans the oppportunity to see the Mad Dog on top of his game.
Dang, those were both really good interviews, insiteful, rather than the typical “he is a tough guy, but i will win”
Wandi’s even moreso especially. I liked how he actually pointing out things he see’s in Chuck’s game, lack of head movement except for backwards, and that he is happy to exchange kicks on teh ground for elbows. Looks like Wandi def. has a set game plan, I call Wandi to win, which is different then my initial thought.
Wandi really comes off as a nice guy, ill probably be voting slightly for him, like both guys though.
All I know is,”one guy go for down, erbody knows this no go to descision, i go down or he go down, but one guy go to down.”

If this fight goes to a decision I stop watching UFC.
how funny would it be if Chuck came out and took Silva down and arm bard him lol….I wonder if Chuck won that way if he would lose respect from the fans. I mean think about it….everyone always predicts Chuck to engage in a striking war and he always does, I think the only time I can remember him taking a guy down since I’ve been watchin him was when he took down Vernon White once during the fight, but only because he was in a headlock I think.
Somehow I dont see this one going past the second round. Both of these guys chins have taken alot of punishment over he years and I think both of them have weaker chins now. I think it will be a “who has the stronger chin fight” I think both fighters will land good strikes, but I predict Wandi to land the first good punches with Chuck getting the better strikes later in the round.
I’ll say…Chuck early 2nd round KO or Wanderlei 1st round TKO
Chuck will knock the ape out cold late 2nd round…

I second, third, fourth… and up thru 2000 that.
Chuck fights the same exact way every single fight, and trains the same exact way for every single fight. He claims to be switching things up this time around. He tried to bring Paulo Filho in to help with his ground work, but Paulo said no. I recorded the countdown last night, it will be interesting to see if its the same old training for Chuck, or if it is something new.
On the other hand, it seems like Wanderlei is REALLY coming up with an exact game plan to destroy and KO the iceman. I mean, c’mon, he only has Randy Couture giving him gameplan advice! Everybody is expecting and looking for a standup war – Rock em Sock em Robot style. However, if Chuck is slapping Wanderlei around, I would really hope that Wandi would put his pride to the side, and go for the takedown on Chuck. Sure Chuck has a top notch sprawl and an uncanny ability to just stand back up, but he can be submitted. If the opportunity arises, Wandi should jump all over it. But, Wanderlei wants nothing more than to knock Liddell out unconscious in the center of the octagon.
I CAN’T WAIT FOR THE 29th!!!!!
I’ve come to like Wanderlei after hearing and seeing some of his interviews….Whoever wins I’ll be glad, although I’d rather see Chuck win because if he loses, thats really bad for him, Wandy at least its his first fight in the UFC since what 2001? I think Chuck stands to lose more from losing this bout.
Chuck also gains less by winning lol

This is not Silva’s first time in a cage.
both gems!!
2 good guys goin to war…one’s career advances….the others…..probably ends
wandy’s definatly right, someone’s goin to sleep….no chance this tilt goes to a decision……can’t wait to see if it lives up to expectations…..
i’m sayin wandy all the way tho
“Everyone is calling Silva to win, I say Chuck is going to upset you all.”
Actually I see everyone calling CHUCK to win. Just look at this board and more….
I think Wanderlei is the underdog here… but hell, is he tough? I think it will be a war, bombs coming from everyside. I think Wand will get chuck though… I will come back and comment on this when he does.
