You never really understand how big most NFL players are (including kickers and bechwarmers) until you see them next to someone familar, like a HW cage fighter… interesting..

How true about player size! Brett looks damned big next to Randy!

Also notice that Brett is not wearing gloves or a heavy jacket. I don’t know how those players go 3 hours full speed in zero degree weather there….amazing.

They both have that genetic code to be an elite performing athlete late in their careers.

Brett to me looks excited to get a pic with the natural..I’m sure Randy feels the same way about Brett. Nic pic.

Look how much Randy has gained from the sport. He has done a lot for the sport as well and he may feel unappreciated and underpaid but I really hope that the UFC can patch things up with Randy. I would love to see them allow him to fight Fedor because I think he has earned it, but either way I want Randy to be a part of the UFC. He is probably the best commentator that the UFC has ever had…and at the very least I want him to be part of the UFC as a commentator.

I guess he’s not “UFC’s” Randy Couture anymore. Well, I guess he is technically… for a little while longer.

It sucks that the UFC is letting its biggest star go. It sucks even more that the UFC won’t let him fight the sport’s best fighter.

I’m usually a Dana backer, but it does seem like his ego is getting in the way here. I’m definitely not saying Couture is 100% right, but there has to be a compromise somewhere.

Anyway, F’n great pic right there.

Yeah u make a great point Phil. Dana sets up Hall of fame induction’s for fighters…which I think is great, but then trashes them away from the company…with the exception of maybe Royce.

It makes no sense, if you are going to have a UFC hall of fame, then inductees should be respected and treated well. All UFC current hall of fame members have done so much for the sport. For Dana to bash them, break ties with them makes no sense because then they start to Bash the UFC and Dana. It looks really bad for a Company like the UFC who represents so much of the sport being bashed by former hall of famers. I have to put most of the blame on Dana White and his stupid childish grudges he has against fighters. He`can be so petty sometimes. I think in many Cases, Lorenzo Fertita needs to step in and handle some cases personally, like he does in negotiations with Tito because Dana has shown to be too unprofesisonal at times. Prime example with the Fedor negotiations, calling the man and his representation a bunch of Crazy F-ing russians… I mean what CEO does that? To bash a man and his culture is terribly unprofessional and inexcusable….I would like to see the Lorenzo take a bigger role when negotiating with Big Time free agents.

i saw this on another sight don’t know how true it is

“The Natural” potentially exposed?

This info is the basis for an article that supposedly is coming out soon regarding the suspicious circumstances surrounding Couture’s return from retirement to face Poopsy (Tim Sylvia). There are other things that are supposed to be exposed as well such as his use of HGH and “hormone replacement therapy.” All this is supposed to some how tie in to his latest “retirement”. It seems Captain America’s image is being tarnished more and more by the day. He also doesn’t seem to be as “natural” as some people thought “The Natural” was.
This is a debate I found on MMA Weekly’s forum between an mma writer named Tony Caiazzo, who is supposedly going to break this story, and someone that was being a Randy ***hugger. It is supposed to be published in a yet to be named mma magazine but is evidentially being held up by Couture’s legal team.
INTERESTING!

I don’t “believe” I have information Jason. I KNOW I have information.

What you are saying above would be akin to me telling you that you “BELIEVE” you woke up this morning. You KNOW you woke up this morning because you saw it with your own two eyes.

My evidence that this went down is even more solid than your “evidence” that Randy is on HGH or something else!

Here’s the way it is, like it or not, and time will prove me right so I don’t much care who doesn’t buy it at this point.

1. Randy knew about Tim’s injury, spotting signs of it in the Monson fight.

2. Randy invited Tim to come train with him.

3. Randy discovered the extent of Tim’s injury, as Tim fighting Monson involved a cortizone shot, Tim training with Randy, did NOT involve a cortizone shot.

4. Randy was taking Tim down at will when they trained together, and even mentioned to another fighter who was present that he was “very surprised at how bad Sylvia’s take down defense had gotten.”

5. Randy then comes out of retirement, and requests an immediate title shot in the HW division.

6. Tim is sleeping four hours a night, tops, because he can’t take pain killers and his legs are going numb.

7. Two weeks after training with Randy, Tim gets a call from Dana telling him that he’s facing Couture on Feb 3rd.

8. Tim’s doctor informs him that he can only give him three more cortizone shots. Tim gets one immediately, so he can kind of train, gets another one two weeks before the fight, and the last one just before leaving for Vegas.

9. Tim loses, and Zuffa picks up the tab for his back surgery.

Dana and Zuffa make huge bucks on Randy’s return, as does Randy. Tim gets at least one more huge paycheck before potential career ending surgery, and everyone is happy as a pig in shit.

Tim’s surgery is a success, and because he played ball and proved to be a company man, he’s brought right back into the mix ASAP…….EVEN THOUGH he’s had some really boring fights, and even though he garners the kind of hate that does NOT inspire people to watch him fight (unlike Tito)…..he is still given a high profile fight, on a main card, against a guy who hadn’t fought in a year whom he outweighed by a considerable amount.

There are a ton of other things that are left out of this, things that come from other trainers with no specific connections to either fighter, former training partners of both fighters, current training partners and former conditioning coaches, and some P.R. people to boot.

Farve is 6′2″ but he towered over Romo too (before their game the other week). Romo is also listed as 6′2″. I think Favre just has excellent posture. Couture is actually listed at 6′1″, so with the cleats, we are looking at 2 inches taller plus Randy’s poor wrestler’s posture.

Couture could have known about Slyvia’s injury, but before that Couture has always been able to take Slyvia down from what I heard. Even if Slyvia was healthy, it’s apparent to me Couture would beat him 8-10 times. HGH replacement therapy?… hmmm…lots of athletes are doing crap like that nowadays… I wouldn’t put it past any athlete nowadays… but proof better be present, not hearsay.

Randy Couture is a liar.
