it says lutter almost upset anderson what fight were u fu**ing watching. all lutter did was take him down then he got caught in a trinagle.
Lutter reigned down about 3 decent bombs from the mount before silva reversed the position. A couple more bombs and he would of been unconscious. He did well to get out of mount tho.. thats what they mean by potential upset
Rich wins. Rich beats any MW fighter not names Anderson Silva.
so so so so true. Franklin has proven that he owns this weight class, but is nothing compared to Silva. Franklin should consider/attempt something else. He sure as hell cannot go up a class.

Maybe Franklin vs. GSP/Serra/Hughes?

This fight will not be any different than Frnaklin/Macdonald. He was supposed to be a great submission figther, too. Look what happened. Rich beat the piss out of him. I don't see Lutter doing anything better. He may have fared better against Silva but let's be honest. Was Silva really in any danger? He was calm the whole time and was just waiting for his spot. Lutter will never get Franklin on his back
It has been rumored for about a month that it was supposed to be Franklin/Lutter, and I dunno why Franklin wants this match right out of the gate.

If Lutter can make weight (which is a big IF) and if Lutter can stay healthy (which is another big IF) and if Lutter shows up mentally (biggest if), Lutter is the best Middleweight in the UFC.

But Lutter can never get everything on one page.

I think this a very very tough fight for Lutter, and I think Lutter.. =( pulls the upset of Rich Franklin.

That is coming from a DIE HARD, Rich Franklin fan.
You cannot be "DIE HARD" and honestly think Lutter can pull the upset. Mirror image of the Macdonald fight. Lutter will not answer the bell in round two!!
Big House: You know way too much for someone who doesn't know what they're talking about. Someone (anyone) CAN be a "die hard" fan of a fighter and realistically think that the favour is leaning elsewhere. It IS possible that an educated fan can breakdown a fight and not just heavily favour who they WANT to win.....I'm a die hard Shogun fan and I hate Griffin, although I had doubts in Shogun for that fight.....guess I don't like Shogun right??
I can be a die hard, and think he can pull off the upset. Its called realism.

A lot of people are comparing Jason MacDonald to Travis Lutter... Lutter's BJJ is 10x better than MacDonald's. Lutter is actually a pretty big middleweight, and he will give Rich problems.

I think Lutter can submit him, and I think if Lutter made weight and fought Anderson he would of submitted Anderson.

Anderson made Lutter tap because of the elbows to the head and not the traingle choke.
I'll respond to both of you at the same time. NC, I was not questioning your allegiance to Rich. I was questioning your allegiance to Rich against Lutter. Rich is a striker, plain and simple. I personally do not believe that he can take Rich to the ground. His takedown defense is too good. Plus, I never said anything about how Silva beat Lutter. If the elbows didn't do it, the triangle would have. Mike, once again, I am not picking Rich to win just because I am a Rich Franklin fan. Like I said to NC, I do not think Lutter can beat him for the reasons that I previously stated. Let's bring this full circle here. Rich fought Silva twice and lost. The first time I thought Rich would win. After seeing what Silva did to him and then Lutter and Nate, I knew that there was no way Rich was going to beat him. Another example: I am a "Die Hard" MIchigan Wolverines fan, born and bred. But, unless somebody puts a bullet in Tim Tebow, I really see no way for the Wolverines to win! Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Clause and I am more than capable of being impartial in my fight picks. Thanks for the typing practice fellows. Keep up the good work!!

Hey Mania, on MMAWEEKLY the rumors section, it has no price listed for 81, and 82 the suggested retail PPV price still says 39.95, I thought Weekly was pretty up-to-date.
Is that source you got that from very reputable? Cuz they didnt have any actual quotes or anything that I saw when I read it.
