ufc ultimate fighter 6 final roger huerta vs clay guida
Just want to quickly update the bonus payments for The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 6 Finale on Saturday, December 8, from The Palms in Las Vegas, Nevada:

Fights of the Night: Jon Koppenhaver vs. Jared Rollins and Roger Huerta vs. Clay Guida
Knockout of the Night: Jon Koppenhaver (defeated Rollins)
Submission of the Night: Matt Arroyo (defeated John Kolosci via armbar)

For all TUF 6 Finale base salaries click here. For results coverage click here and here.

Each fighter received a $15,000 bonus — considerably less than pay-per-view (PPV) matches ($55,000). Surprising (and good news) that the electrifying main event between Roger Huerta and Clay Guida also received recognition.

It was truly a great night of fights.

“War Machine” — who recently pled guilty in a California assault case — raked in a total payday of $46,000, which should help cover his legal expenses.

(Thanks to WrestlingObserver.com for the assist.)

Huerta told MMAWeekly that him and Roger did in fact get fight of the night bonus. So, Huerta and Guida probably got one of those under the table bonuses.

No, it was mentioned. I read over it. Thanks for the heads up. Post is amended above.

Plead assault down to a misdemeanor, and the fine won’t even eat up War Machine’s entire bonus, much less his money for showing and winning.

Not a bad pay day for his 1st true UFC fight…..In his next fight he will prolyy earne peanuts like $4,000 or something petty like that.

My advice to the young fighters, Dont get used to that kind of money just yet, because most of them will get grossly underpaid in their next fight!

Giving the War Machine/JRock fight FOTN honors is sad. I know it was entertaining (I’ve seen bumfights too), but neither of these guys would have lasted 2 minutes with a skilled fighter. Neither ever passed, neither ever attempted a sub…hips? huh? Both have heart and very hard heads…guess that is worth something.

Up next, Game of the Week highlights from the PeeWee basketball league Championship. It was a back and forth battle with the Ladybugs edging out the Fingerpainters with a buzzer beater to win 9-8.

Good analogy. lol. Yeah, that fight was actually a steaming pile of crap. Entertaining for sure…

Hopefully the Huerta-haters will calm down for a while…

I also heard the Huerta interview w/ MMAWeekly- I seriously doubt that he and Clay only got 15k for their efforts. Maybe not 55k, but considerably more than 15k.

props to Dana for giving both of those guys fight of the night. I did think that submission of the night should have went to that other guy with a 23 second submision and it was a leg lock. You just dont see alot of those type of submisisions
