Wanderlei MTV2
“UFC All Access” with light heavyweight Wanderlei Silva will debut on MTV2 on Thursday, December 27, 2007, at 1 a.m. ET, according to UFC.com.

This also marks the programming debut for the organization on MTV2 — SpikeTV had run the popular one-hour series on its network exclusively up until this latest news. SpikeTV will still air the episode at 12:30 a.m. ET that same late evening.

Here’s the snip:

“Go behind the scenes with Octagon Girl Rachelle Leah as she hangs out with UFC light heavyweight fighter Wanderlei Silva. See what’s happening with Wanderlei as he prepares to fight Chuck Liddell - the fight everyone in MMA has wanted to see for years.”

“The Axe Murderer” (sans X-Treme Couture gear) is preparing for his upcoming showdown with former light heavyweight champion, Chuck Liddell, at UFC 79: “Nemesis” on December 29 from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Fortunately, it appears that the addition of MTV2 (no word on whether it is temporary or permanent) did not affect the job status of former UFC ring girl and current “UFC All Access” host, Rachelle Leah.

Phew.

This episode will re-air on MTV2 during a normal hour at Friday, December 28, 2007, at 10 p.m. ET.

Important to note: SpikeTV is a division of MTV Networks, which is a unit of Viacom.

Doesn’t every fighter who gets an All Access feature end up losing his next fight?

MTV2, huh? I don’t see the connection between The Axe Murderer and MTV. I wonder if it was Spike TV’s choice not to air this, or if the UFC decided to look elsewhere? I doubt Spike TV would want to do anything to diminish its relationship with the UFC. I doubt that they have a regularly scheduled program that gets better ratings than the All Access Shows. If ratings is the issue, try not showing it at 2 am, how dumb! It should never be later than 11 pm. Insomniacs, addicts and the unemployed are the only people normally awake at 2 am on a weekday.

This show is going to SUCK because the UFC forced him to go to the XYIENCE center instead of where he was really training XTREME COUTURE!!!! So don’t expect to see the real training regimen. The UFC, Dana White, and The Fertita Brothers are like some damn grade school girls.

Yeah I remember thinking the same thing then those two turned it around. But they’re the only ones as best as I can remember.

Maybe they should do an all access on Crocop’s next opponent.

why the hell is it on mtv2 alot more households get spike tv as part of their basic cable while in order to see mtv 2 you need to have digital cable. stupid move on behalf of the ufc in my eyes.

Dana and the fratitas know exactly what thier doing theses guys are marketing geniouses, Yeah maybe to late to get real exposer but you have to start somewhere. Come forrest and rampages countown it will probably be mtv 2 prime time The MTV demographic is huge and dana is just starting to dip into it not to mention all the other smart marketing moves they have made recently

1) free PPV events on spike
2) Brock Lesnars signing
3) Purchasing of pride
4) ufc wired on free cable

#2 is a bullshit marketing move after he gets his arm brocken, leg snapped off, or chocked unconcious. you will realize that all the wwe fans will not want to watch their idol get his ass kicked by any heavyweight in the ufc

Rumour was that fighters lost their Mojo after doing it All Access with Rachelle Leah. Rampage was the one to break the trend. Mojo intact
