I’m going to make a guess that NBC will not shed a very positive light on MMA. Especially if CBS is, in fact, in discussions with the UFC.

Silva is unreal and think dan will need some major luck to beat him, the only way he could beat him is holding him down for 5 rounds which I don’t think he can or he could pull a serra and shock the hell out of everyone.

Joe, Im not sure where that list of rankings came from, but it looks like youre a little bias in the lightweights to fighters over seas, seeings how you didnt even put Sherk in the top ten, which is ridiculous…but then you didnt put Kid in the featherweights either, so I dont know

I agree ‘if’ Henderson tries to ’stay’ standing he will get Ko’d… however, if his style is to brawl then takedown.. I believe he will win unless he gasses and can’t keep Silva on the ground.. I believe the longer the fight goes the advantage goes to Silva.

I don’t think that will shock everyone… I believe most knowledgable fans feel Henderson is a slight favorite… but a KO by either fighter will be shocking.

Must suck to dominate everyone in your weight class and have your ass dominated by the champ twice.

As for “Joe’s” list of weight class rankings. I that is not official because it seems to be very……wrong. There is another website that has the “un official” rankings, and it looks to be a little more precise.

If Wandi, Rampage, Big Nog, etc couldn’t knock him out I don’t think Anderson Silva will.

I am a HUGE Anderson Silva fan but I dont know if he can beat Hendo. Henderson is a beast who has been hit by a lot of shots harder than what Silva will hit him with. This is a very dangerous fight for the
champ, he is fighting a fighter with best chin in the game. I am a fan of both fighters but I would like to see Anderson win. Hendo is on the last fight of his contract and favors fighting at 205. However Silva is the single most accurate striker in the game (gomi is a close 2nd in my oppinion). Hopefully Silva’s accuracy will land right on the button and KO Hendo (that is if a button actually exsists on Hendo’s jaw). Hendo throws haymakers, and if they land Silva will be in trouble. Hendo maybe the strongest middleweight in the world (although he doesnt look it). Hendo might just take Anderson down and maul him. Silva will be put on his back and he might have to rely on his ju jitsu, but Hendo doesnt really ever get submitted and he has fought some submission wizards (both Noguerra Twins).

This will be an epic battle, hopefully Anderson will win, but having Dan Henderson as champion is never a bad thing.

Yeah I reckon so too. He’s an animal. He didn’t get overpowered by Rampage who is naturally about 20-25 lbs bigger than him.

Incredible tendon strength I’d imagine. Many overlook working on the connective tissues. Bruce Lee didn’t overlook it. He was an absolute animal for his size too.

i’m a huge franklin fan and yet even i can see his days as champion are long gone…he’ll never wear a ufc belt again (unless they come out with tag team champs, intercontinental champs, hardcore champ, the usa belt, etc)

how can anyone create a list of top middleweights and not include Matt Lindland??? He’s the only fighter, other than Hendo, who I can see challenging Silva for the belt

I agree, silva’s on a huge roll, not to mention dan went down and pretty much got saved by the bell in that last round with rampage so it could be quite possible silva by tko. Both great fighters tho. This could be the match of the year… can’t wait
