I've read how much Clay Guida made and it made me sick . When I saw this match I found it more entertaining than a rampage Chuck Liddel fight . The fact the Chuck Liddel makes like 500,000 is not fair. Fighters like Clay make the sport exciting. How come boring boxers make million . If I want two losers figting among themselves I can see it for free in the streets .
Wow... that is a harsh payday, for any of those fighters that lost it makes it tough for them to want to comeback. I'm sure none of those fighters received percentages. Sponsership probably not all that significant. Man, Clay is definitely worth more than that... he's got a lot of fans.
thats true but did you take a look at his record...not the best

[...] I’m not saying bonuses as a concept are a bad idea. But think about this: The total pay before bonuses for all fighters at the Ultimate Fighter 6 finale was $239,000. The amount of bonuses handed out on top of that: $120,000. That’s half the entire payroll over again in bonus money. How can the UFC justify paying their fighters so little when they’re throwing extra cash around like that? [...]

As for the questions about Clay with the carpenters. Clay is a union carpenter with the Chicago Carpenters Union. This was printed on his shorts

I still cannot understand how a TUFer gets $8000 grand to show and Jonathan Goulet only gets $7000. At least I know he's getting taxed less because he's Canadian.

And as far as Guida goes. I do think he deserves more than $11,000 a fight. But let's not think he's living the street because of it. He's been awarded at least 2 fight of the night bonuses already this year. That's over six figures in UFC payroll to him. Not including sponsorships. (Ya because we all know Al's Carpentry or whatever is handing out the big bucks!) What was the name of that Carpentry place on his shorts anyways? Clay is a union carpenter with the Chicago Carpenters Union

Why wouldn't the TUF guys get paid more? They are the bigger draw because of the time they spent on the show. It's not like they got more than Karo or Fitch or another established WW contender. Goulet got a gift because they matched him up against one of the worst fighters on the show. If he was matched up with Matt Arroyo, he would have received $7K, a nice octagon to go to sleep in, and some smelling salts.
Roger said on mmaweekly radio that they did get fight of the night, so I'm guessing Clay took home at least 30k.

Zuffa isn't in this business to distribute every dollar they make from this event to all of the fighters involved. It's called risk reward. They put up a lot of money to showcase each of these events - if it loses money they're left holding the bag, not the fighters. UFC was losing money for years - they've only been profitable since 2005.

This TUF 6 Finale had minimal live gate revenues and no PPV buys. You can't give these fighters $100K each, even though they deserve it. You start paying everyone Chuck Liddell money, and the UFC folds. And Chuck gets paid $500K per fight because he guarantees you at the very least 600-700K PPV buys. The same can't be said about Clay Guida, unfortunately.
I agree with not getting chucks money but guida 11k?... he's a draw and a name and makes exciting fights, even though he's lost recently... if he got 25k to show, I can see that holding him between fights.. like you said... someone like him deserves it.
Dude, I hate to break it to you, but nobody knows who Clay Guida is except for hardcore fans like us. He's not a draw. You're only a draw if you attract casual fans. They already know that the hardcore fans will watch. That's money already in the bank. He's paid just about what he deserves. If he finished Roger, he would've taken home $30K.
