I think that the winner of guida vs. Huerta should square off with Florian to determine the #1 contender to the title. Also we will get some clarification today, when we learn the resuklts of sherks drug test appeal.

Personally, I hope he is suspended. So many more exciting fights will take place if Sherk is out of the mix!

He’s beaten enough of the up-and-comers to deserve a legitimate shot at a non-performance enhanced champion. As far as him being in the broadcast booth, I think it’s a great idea. He’s bright, articulate, and can probably think of more insightful phrases to describe the in-ring action than ‘Wow, that guy is an animal!’

I think Edgar deserves a shot at Florian for #1 contender. The guy has wins over Fisher and Griffin, which puts him above both Guida and Huerta in my book.

Not that i’m complaining, cause either of these guys vs Florian would be a great fight. I’d say he’s the most improved tuf fighter.

I agree 100%, and was basically going to say the same thing. Kenny has proven time and time again that he is no worse than #3 in the UFC LW division. I remember back in season one of TUF, KenFlo was the best at analyzing the fights at the beginning of each episode. And whenever the cast members would be talking, Kenny always seemed to be the most knowledgable (I believe they watched a PPV while in the house, but I can’t remember for ceratain). I am actually really looking forward to Kenny’s broadcasting debut. I still don’t know how people can be hating on Kenny.

In TUf season1 they all saw the ufc event that Hughes armlocked GsP..Chuck and Randy was chillen with them on the couch..I thought that part was bugged out..picture you some friends and Randy and Chuck just chillen out watching a PPV event like its normal..the ufc was sneaky..having the TV set come out ground.

I mentioned this like two days ago..in a thread. I for one think it is as much of a mma story to put up here then any other. I’m surprised the death of Sam Vasquez after he sustained injuries in a mma fight DIES a few weeks afterward.

The medical examiner still hasn’t directly linked his death to the fight..where there might of been a pre existing condition or something. Texas will not outlaw MMA I’m sure..the event was sanctioned and was far as all reports nothing that the organiztion can be blamed for.

I feel this as tragic as it is..will not bring down the MMA..when I think since the 1800’s they have about 500 deaths associated with boxing.

the pride announcer had me hyped to see a fight. at times outside the fight..the ufc event is boring..I liked it when in the opening cermony all the fighters would come out..the vibe was more uplifting..the ufc generic songs..and vibe is like blah…just the fighters..and the fights keeps me watching.

Aboslutely Stunnalator, Bruce Buffer must go! It sounds like he swallowed a jar full of cottonballs. The WEC annoucer isn’t terrible, though he overuses the phrase, “this fighter has tasted defeat only _”

Back to Kenflo (he should think of upgrading the nickname), I don’t know how someone couldn’t like the guy. He has improved so much over the years and become such an entertaining fighter. I am glad to see him receive some success

The UFC really needs better commentators so it’s nice to see them continue to have fighters commentating. I dislike Rogan & Goldberg for a lot of reasons but the biggest beef I have with them is that neither one is qualified to do color commentary. Only a fighter (or former fighter) is qualified to do that.

The UFC should get Bas Rutten as a commentator. He is probably the best commentator ever in mma. He was funny, cool, he explained all the escapes for submissions as they happen, and he has credability. He is a cool ass, drunk dutch animal! I dont know what type of relationship he has with the UFC, but I wish they would consider bringing him in the broadcast booth, although I dont see it happening simply because he is such a huge part of the IFL and Dana wants his employees to work exclusively for the UFC.

Thats how commentating for the UFC should be.

Huerta will definitely beat Guida, Florian can beat Huerta.

Frank Mir does a great job with the WEC fights, especially when they go to the ground. He usually calls a submission about 30 seconds before it happens because he can see exactly what the eventual winner is setting up and whether or not the victim can escape it.

NO matter wat happens from now until Sherk comes back, sherk will be the Champ once again, his just one step ahead of everyone else, steriod aligations or not.

I agree that Mir is a great commentator, hes very clear when he explains the ground game, and hes funny in a weird way like when he says “thats not very smart” he actually is talking shit in a polite way kinada like randy saying that “the fetal position isnt a good defense” lol those are hillarious remarks but there not trying to be funny

Kenny will take Randy’s place watching Goldberg inch closer to Rogan while Rogan talks looking off into space because he is so uncomfortable with Goldberg looking into his eyes like he wants a kiss.
