The quote says “A feature fight of the night”…how in the world to you discern that this is the main event, or even that their won’t be a heavyweight title bout from this quote??

First Evans vs. Bisping, now this joke of a headline fight…I really don’t get it.

I heard about Lesner coming to fight in the UFC (from this site), but fighting as a HEADLINER after only 1 fight on his record? One fight! One fight against a guy (Min Soo Kim) who looses most of the time. Give me a break!

And Frank Mir as a headliner? Come on. He’s been giving lackluster performances since his unfortunate accident. Why do I feel Dana would try and sell us Steven Hawkings vs. the corpse of Christoper Reeves as a headliner, if top of the line guys weren’t available?

Please read more carefully MMAMania. This will be A featured fight. This will not be THE featured fight. Nog/Sylvia will be the main event. Brock vs. Mir is currently the only confirmed fight for the event so, until they confirm other fights, this will be the poster until they confirm Nog/Sylvia.

i agree with ffl i think he knows that this card needs beefed up,but in all honesty this is a fight people wanna see just because lesnar is making his ufc debut.but i think there will be other fights on the card.

This main event is crap. UFC is starting to wear these ppv’s pretty thin. The unaired prelims are better than the main cards. They should just do fight nights and charge the commercial sponsors a butt load of money. I usually don’t order a ppv unless there is a matchup that i’ve been waiting to see, or a championship bout. Otherwise I watch the fights off of websites that show for the next couple of days ( which I will do for this card).

one thing is for sure i am not buying this PPV!

UFC cant expect us to buy this crap

As some posters have said, it’s 2 months away and there are still 3 UFC events between now and UFC 81. There have been no other announcements as to what other fights are scheduled, so there is no need to jump to conclusions about how crappy this card is already.

I am definitely intrigued by Lesnar’s first fight against a worthy opponent. And if he converts some casual fans into true mma fans, all the better.

I still think nog vs sylvia will be on this, Randy just rejected the offer to fight again last week, and all the details still have to hammered out as to how to handle an interim HW fight vacated by Randy.

I can’t tell you how much this sucks!!! F&*k buying the ppv. This was gonna be my first live event and now I want to cancel my trip.

To tell you the truth i dont really care what the main event of a PPV is as long as its gonna be a good fight. I just watch them on the internet the next day if the PPV isnt worth watching.

even though the supposed featured fight is not very good i would still plan your trip. go to the weigh ins, go to the local bar that has ferral from sirius satellite radio and enjoy yourself..i was pissed about the rashad vs bispin card and almost cancelled but had so much fun at the stuff before hand it made the trip very worth it.

I hope th UFC isn’t considering the “featured fight” and headlining fight as same thing.

They cant have Lesnar walk into the UFC, and immediatly give him main event status!

I’m getting a kick out of how they posed Frank and Brock for the photo. By having their arms folded, the photographer wants to leave the viewers with the impression these are two imposing figures; but we all know it’s a not so clever ploy to disguise Brock’s “sword” (cough.. cough..) tattoo.

I wouldnt be worrying about this card just yet. There are loads of fighters who could make this card a good one.
For example, Griffen, Jardine, Alexander, Franklin, Coutoure, Arlovski, cro cop, Bisping and many more possibilities. Dana is not an idiot, there is no way this will be a main event, id put my house on that. Frank mir didnt even make the main card in his last event, so theres no chance of a main event.
There will be atleast one or two quality fights added guaranteed!!
