Note: Mir comes in at about the 3:45 mark with his son. The two (Mir and Lesnar) are booked to fight at UFC 81: “Breaking Point” from the MGM Grand Garden Arena on February 2.
a likeable guy, just needs to have his son really do tha stuff for himself not his dad but whatevs.
I think that Mir has the upperhand on Lesnar when it comes to the cage. No bouncing off ropes, no referee stoppage when you´rea bout to fall out of the ring, nothing like that. However, due to Lesnar sheer size and weight, plus his superb wrestling background, I would say Mir has to focus on keeping that find standing, because Brock hasmore tools on the ground.
The main event will be Sylvia vs. Nogueira for the vacant HW crown. The UFC failed to reach a settlement with Couture, so Big Tim and Minotauro will duke it out for the belt.
Frank Mir is awesome – his personality is great… he should replace Goldberg as the full-time commentator on UFC. He’s a good talker and so knowledgeable. I want to marry him.
mir will destroy lesnar but, after that ppl are still gonna talk crap about mir bcuz its lesnars 2nd fight so he needs to fight a true contender after he schools lesnar , I hope he breaks his arm like he did to Tim
i can’t believe that lesnar (someone who is 1-0-0) can just jump right into the main event or even a pay per view fight. yes i know everyone knows who lesnar is due to his WWE career and that it’ll also take even more fans away from WWE but it’s still the most unprofessional thing the ufc can do. It is not fair to other fighters in the ufc to just toss lesnar into a headline fight even if he had a great D1 wrestling.

It’s no more or less fair than putting fighters from the reality show, even the obviously undeserving ones, onto televised events.
I really like Mir, I hope he eventually, hopefully this fight, can come back and be as good as he was at his previous peak, he is still SO young, it’s still very possible. If he does, he’ll be a hell of a force again in the HW division, and if he does, Brock should get submitted.
one could say that Mir will win this fight but there isn’t much he’ll be able to do if Brock olds him on the cage all night. this could make for a broooing fight. really hope not though. still 4 more fights left to put on the card, can’t wait to see what they add.
Mir is absolutly right, he would be an idiot to not take Lesnar serious. Brock might be inexperienced when it comes to mma, but he will be able to take down anyone, and if he smashes you in the face with his elbow, eperienced or not, its gonna do some serious damage.
If Brock was fighting the pre motorcycle accident Frank Mir I wouldnt give Brock a chance. But Mir is a shell of his former self and I wont be surprised if Brock smashes his face in. I just havent seen anything out of mir, post accident to be impressed by.
We dont know anything about Brock at all. I sure as hell wont be betting on either. I wonder what the odds are in this fight? I am assuming that Mir is the favorite.
Mir is a cool guy. First interview I’ve seen of him in awhile. If he doesn’t beat Brock he should definitely be a TUF coach or commentate for UFC. Lots of potential.
i hope brock get his ass whooped
Why? I’m just hoping for a great fight. I’ve never seen so much hate for a guy making his UFC debut before. Look, if Brock doesn’t belong in the UFC, then Mir is a guy who will prove it. But if not, then why not be happy that the UFC has another legit fighter in the organization?
Brock comes from a great amature wrestling pedigre. But, when’s the last time he’s had to use it. I’d liken him to a Josh Koscheck. Kos and Lesnar are extremely great wrestlers. However, Kos came straight out of training in collegiate wrestling to coaching collegiate wrestling to being on TUF.
Lesnar went from amature, to Pro wrestling, to a stint in NFL football, to doing MMA the last couple of years. And let’s just assume for arguements sake that Lesnar was most likely roided in the WWE, how is his 2 years off and on MMA training with his post steriod use cardio/fitness going to stack up with Mir?
I see Brock going for a quick ground and pound, gassing eventually, then getting submitted. I see Mir weathering the adrenaline storm Brock brings out for the first few minutes, then winning rather easily.
i think this is a good match up,frank is not a walk over for brock to get a couple of wins under his belt,i really respect brock taking a match against a fighter with a descent name to himself….i cant wait to see these two bang!!! my prediction lesnar by split decision.
You people are so uneducated…Lesnar will DESTROY Mir. Did ANY of you see Mir’s last 3 fights..He really does suck…Lesnar is SOOOO strong and YES, He will HIT very, very hard…I see lesnar taking Mir don’t super quick and then Pounding, Pounding and Pounding Mir out within 2 minutes into round 1. Ref stoppage at: 1:55….I GUARANTEE it…I wish everyone of you Mir supports would bet me a buck..I’d be a MILLIONAIRE after the fight. I bet Dana knows this also…Lesnar’s second fight will be Arlovsiki…Same outcome with him also…Pounded out fast…

I Hope this is not the main event…
Doesnt Tito Ortiz own his company?
i hope brock get his ass whooped
It will be co-main event
No way this the ME, but it could be interesting….
I always get an error with that video site.

smart guy.

Mir better be working on his cardio.
Brock is going to work him like a horse.
Frank Mir is awesome – his personality is great… he should replace Goldberg as the full-time commentator on UFC. He’s a good talker and so knowledgeable. I want to marry him.
Did Frank knock some chick up when he was 13 or something? I didn’t think he was old enough to have a boy that age.
Huge Mir fan… cant wait for this fight. I really wanna see Mir back to his pre-accident self.
Frank Mir seems pretty cool, I hope he destroys Lesner.
mir will destroy lesnar but, after that ppl are still gonna talk crap about mir bcuz its lesnars 2nd fight so he needs to fight a true contender after he schools lesnar , I hope he breaks his arm like he did to Tim
i hope we see a round or two of lesner before mir submits him.
Mir’s like 27 or 28 yrs old right? how old is his son?

Mir respects Brock, I was hoping he wouldn’t take him lightly.

I really hope Mir wins this one. As for his kid what age is he. Frank’s only 28 so???

That’s…
A fair point.
Mir must have been quite young when he had him.

maybe Tito has another partner or something

No Tito dosen’t have another partner but Jeanna has a whole mess of them, maybe its one of theres
Lesnar is going down.Than Mir is going down by Arlovski.
Mir better be working on his cardio.

I agree.
I think Lesnar is going to bring it 100 miles an hr.
If Mir does lose” it will be on acount of cardio…
But I see Mir winning 1st or mid 2nd round via submission..

I actually agree with you on this one!
