I like this guy Sokoudjou. I know he’s African but he’s got that Island Rastafarian coolness to him! Hope he makes a big splash in the UFC and destroys Machida.
Soku will be a future champion, he is an animal. If Machida beats this guy I have so much respect for him and I think he should be the next in line for a title shot.
This is going to be such a test for both of them, can not wait
Too bad the counterstriker supremist Lyoto Machida will once again decision his way to a victory!
Areed except that i think he could finish this fight. All i know is that Machida should be winning this fight. Too good of a technician.
I LIKE Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou too. the 1st time i saw him i couldn’t believe he trained at team quest, oh and if i was DAna White i would have signed him a year ago.
oh and better drug test him for the green green, puff the magic dragon wasn’t a kids song!
420 is how Nick Diez and his brother, that loney toonz sounding creep, stay tough oh and Ceasar Gracie’s salads
Soko has hands like the hammers of Thor KOing Little Nog and Arona, but I really haven’t seen a fight where his ground game was tested. As I said with Houston Alexander, until I see the full fight game displayed, I am not going to say he is “the future champ”. Fighters need to be well rounded, and Ramaeu may be (although he has not been fighting that long) but I want to see it before I start polishing his shoes. Also Lyoto is no joke and a very serious contender
sounds like Mr. Gorandy here has quite the inside line on UFC´s “chronic” drug consumption
Skoudjou is in my opinion a greater ex-Pride prospect, because, as he himself said, feels better in the cage than in the ring. We saw quickly how fighters can be affected by switching from ring to cage (and vice versa, just look at Lidell vs. jackson @pride exhibition fight), so I believe he can overpower Machida. However, if Machida manages to keep his strike-recoil-strike-rack-the-points style up, he will win the decision. Sokoudjou´s game plan should best be to not let the fight reach the decision.
This may be the most exciting fight that Machida has ever been in. Soku is pretty aggressive, and will hopefully push the action.
The Franklin fight was pretty exciting. If this one tops that, then it will be a candidate for fight of the year. Either way, I see Machida picking Sokou apart.
Looking forward to this fight. Aggression vs. Counter-striking.
Machida is a very slick, well-rounded, technical and intelligent fighter. Sokoudjou, from the little we’ve seen from him looks beastly. When I saw Houston Alexander’s first two fights in the UFC it reminded me of Sokoudjou’s two Pride fights. Only thing is Houston always looks a little clumsy and imbalanced on his feet. Not the case with this African.
Haven’t seen his ground game yet, but he’s got a great judo background so I’m looking forward to seeing what he can do. Again from the little we’ve seen, this guy looks very strong and fast. Can’t speak too much about his stand-up technically as, again, we haven’t seen enough of it. But athleticism is definitely there, no doubt. He should be a quick learner.
I think he’s got a good chance of ruining Machida’s flawless record, but since I haven’t seen enough of him, I still gotta go with Machida.
Machida has definently never faced a talent of this caliber. It will be a test for both combatants, I am very eager to see who passes. Soko has the ability to put this fool to sleep if he connects at all, I’m goin with SOKO.
Sokoudjou will the champ! I know we haven’t really seen his ground game yet but training with Team Quest I’m sure he’ll have a good idea what to do once on his back, that is if they can get him there. Arona couldnt put him on his back and quickly found out he hits very hard. It looks like Sokoudjou has very strong legs; his take down defense looked great and his kicks are KILLER.
Sokoudjou by KO 1st round.
**Soko will be pound-for-pound best!

I rented a video of Fedor from Blockbuster once, and shortly thereafter he became a champion. Conincidence? I think not.
This guy reminds me of Houston also, two fights, two quick knockouts over two great fighters. Machida is well rounded, and as Thiago Silva was able to pick Houston apart, so will Machida pick Soko apart. Machida by decision again… (I don’t think this will be a KO).

Soku is the definition of ruff n’ tuff. Machida is not a genuine fighter, he just likes to win, so he develops tactical ways to win. This fight shouldn’t b any different from his previous fights but i want soku to win.

I’m sorry, I didn’t realize you weren’t well versed in the English language. Let me educate you: Sokoudjou is in fact from Africa, you still with me? Simply stated it shows a contrast and comparison to the people of Jamaica. He is from Africa but he has the Island vibe and coolness. If you have any more questions, thoughts or ideas feel free to contact me at Stanford University!
I’m guessing Machida wins this. Sokoudjou has the power in his hands and feet to win but I think Machida will have a good counter strategy and will be too difficult to hit. Whoever wins, it’s going to be a sick fight.

soko is world class in judo, guys he’s the real deal, he fights under dan henderson, he is a very talented fighter

Opps! I made a mistake! mistype
No way can I pick a winner out of this one. I’m actually more excited about this one than the Wandy Chuck fight.
Ade, what he was saying was that although he is from Africa, he had a Rastafarian (Jamaican) sense of cool.
