What’s going on here?:
Even though I’m not down with Portuguese, I’m going to go out on a limb and declare that the recent Chuck Liddell DELL commercial is still more disturbing than what “The Axe Murder” uses to wipe his crack.
The two former champions are set to clash at UFC 79: “Nemesis” from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, on December 29. This round goes to Silva on sheer absurdity alone.

I am sure this commercial is more wierd to me because I do not understand Portuguese, but I am sure everybody agrees that Wanderlie’s ape like wild beast looks make this a better in a worse way commercial than Chucks commercial for dell Love it.

Rampage has done great in UFC with a record of 3-0, 2 of the wins were against top 5 fighters at the time.
Henderson showed a fantastic performance against Rampage and I thought he could of won a split decision.
Wanderlei, like Henderson has already fought in the UFC. So they know the drill, they know the octagon, its nothing really shocking and new. Wanderlei is training with hands down the best training camp in all of America so he should be the best Wanderlei that we have ever seen.
Lets hope so at least.

Shut up about Anderson Silva already! The guy is a journeyman, he’s no Pride fighter. The fighter dominating the middleweight division is a far cry from the fighter who got subbed twice in Pride.

You would think since Wandy is training at Randy’s gym his cardio should be tip top. I hope so, all I’m really saying is that I hope he doesn’t gas like shogun did and I hope to see a war between him and Liddell two of my favorite fighters in the lhw division. Chucky better stay out of that clinch and Wandy better watch the haymakers!

So if he lost twice in pride and he hasn’t in the UFC what does that tell you? Either he has matured since then and become a better fighter or there were great fighters or both.

Dont count shogun out yet. He has looked brilliant in many fights, somewhere around 13 wins I think, and he looked shitty once against forrest, and he didnt look bad because he lacked skill, or heart. He looked bad because he ran out of gas. Conditioning is the easiest thing that a fighter can fix. Also shogun is only 25 years old, counting him out after 1 loss to a freakin warrior (Forrest) is a big mistake, I would hate to be his next opponent, fighting him comming off of his 1st loss. I have watched all Shogun’s fights, and he never even came close to gassing, matter of fact one of his biggest strengths is his conditioning. He will get that corrected and come back real strong.
Get over the whole UFC guys vs. Pride guys. Each man is different reguardless of where he came from. U wanna just label wanderlei as a PRIDE guy, he has had 3 fights in the UFC already, he held the PRIDE belt for what, 4 or 5 years without loosing (well he lost once to Ricardo Arona, but his belt wasnt on the line because it was a tournament match). He has to be the scarriest person to fight against at 205. He’s a killer, if you think he isnt intimidating to other fighters u r crazy. He is the most agressive fighter everywhere. His agression leads to sloppyness sometimes, which can get him rocked, but he has been blessed with the fastest recovery I have ever seen from a fighter. He always gets rocked, but he always recovers. Its impossible to not be intimidated by him.
Chucks in trouble.
Cro cop has been a bust, but not as big a bust as everyone thinks. He got caught wit a headkick. KO come from nowhere. Everyone gets caught. Against Kongo he was doing well until his ribs broke. Now that time has past, it isnt that big of a bust. He can still come back strong. On the other hand he is a one trick pony, he is the heavyweight chuck Liddell, great striking, great takedown defense (only he throws more kicks).
Not to mention Gonzaga and Kongo aren’t exactly eddie sanchez. They are good heavyweight strikers. Kongo can bang with ANYONE, and Gonzaga is a beast, who is about 2 or 3 years
away from being champion.
Noguerra is 1 and 0 on the octagon. Just cause he got rocked by hearing, u people all want to act like he lost, guess what? He won that fight.

Forrest Griffin (biggest heart in the game)
Kongo
Gonzaga
Karo
Those are world class fighters, its not like PRIDE dudes are loosing to Eddie Sanchez.

I dont see how any Pride fighter can gas….they did TEN minute opening rounds FFS…
But shogun is still young, Wandi has always had decent Cardio

Well, anyone who has seen Pride should have expected these kind of performances. The bottom line is that Pride’s tralent level has always been way lower than the UFC’s with the exception of a few fighters. I believe that Silva is one of those fighters who will put up a good showing in the Octagon. Until recently I also thought Fedor was one of those guys but after he pussed out to go to an organization with nobody on it’s roster, I have to believe that he is scared of the UFC.
Another good point for showing that Pride has always been weaker than the UFC is that tons of past UFC fighters that the UFC refused to sign to fight anymore because of their performance went and fought in Pride. The other problem with Pride is that they filled their cards with a bunch of weak Japanese fighters because if was based in Japan and that is what their public wanted to see.
I think that the guy’s that have come to the UFC already will end up doing OK in the long run. I don’t think that any of them will ever be the champion but they should have careers testing the abilities of other up and coming fighters. Silva himself should have a pretty good showing against Liddell but I think he is going to get stomped by whomever he fights after Chuck.
We’ll see what happens but nobody should be surprised that it turned out this way. I sure as hell wasn’t.
I just noticed something, Wanderlei is wearing make up! Now I know that in most television productions that this is necessary, but Wanderlei shouldn’t wear so much eye make up, it makes him look cheap!
