CRO COP is a good fighter and my opinion that he still can win but he need to go in America not in England. He needs atmosphere and only place for that is when you going to OCTAGON.

"One of these days the UFC will get there moneys worth out of Cro Cop. He has been disappointing thus far. For a man with so many highlight reel KO's in pride he has been very lackluster in his three fights in the UFC. They need to chose his opponent carefully. I guarantee you Arlovski would beat him."

- Mirko Cro Cop Filipovic a great fighter, his last three fights do not wipe ou a great career. A fighter is like a basketball team, they win and they loose, but their fights/matches become a summary that is called a career. So wether Mirko wins or loosed is not important to me and alot of other people as well, I appreciate what he has given of himself physically and mentally to make this "fighting" into a legitimate SPORT. Not to say that he is the only one there are others as well.
-- Second thing, this orlovski guy, he's a good fighter but c'mon man a better fighte than Mirko, Tim, Nogiera...etc. I don't thinks so.
--- To all the fighters of UFC 80 good luck!

[...] This booking completes the nine-fight card. It also means that heavyweight Mirko Cro Cop will more than likely not compete at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle, England, on January 19. The Croatian speculated (incorrectly) that he could return on for this event. [...]

cro cop dose not need any warm up fights, he has lost 2 in a row but he could still beat anyone in the division when he is on his game.
i agree with you. he put will down anybody in the ufc. i mean if he can go all the way with fedor, he can do it with anybody even cotoure. he will prove all of yall wrong and after that he will go beat fedors ass and get the respect that he needs!!!!!!!
Cro Cop and Fedor are NOT what we thought they were. Average UFC fighters have proved this. "Fedor went toe to toe with Cro Cop and eeked out a decision". Yeah, well Gabe Gonzaga man handled and beat down Crop Cop before knocking his head off and nearly snapping his ankle as he crumbled to the ground. Then he lost to a HW that was argueably not even Top 10 in Cheick Kongo. Kick to the nuts, broken rib or not. If Cro Cop showed up looking like we expected him to (as he did in PRIDE), he would have won both of those fights with ease. This all tells me is that Fedor isn't really all THAT great. Doesn't he still say today thet Cro Cop was his hardest fight? And look what the UFC has done to Cro Cop? They can't even hand pick an inexperienced fighter and be confident that Cro Cop would beat him/her.
cro cop losing dosn't prove anything about fedor, you could say that all pride fighters are not what we thought they where but others have done fine.cro cop has been in alot of wars and he has lost and been knocked out before even by smaller men(mcdonald).as you have said before yourself you can't do mma math just cause cro cop lost does not say anything about fedor, and i think cro cop can still be one of the best but he has alot to prove in the ufc,but nothing to prove in his k-1 pride career where he faced the best.
I got an idea. How does this sound?
Maybe the UFC is, and has been, planning to have UFC 80 be free on Spike TV. They will make some sort of a big announcement prior to Christmas saying that as a Christmas present to its fans, the UFC will be airing UFC 80 for free on Spike TV.
REMEMBER: I made up the above. It is just a "possible' scenario, or rather a scenario that will save me some money so you won't have to see me in a toilet paper commercial.
ViolentMike: Sounds like it could be a possability. Personally I think most of the UFC's that are outside the UFC will be aired for free. The fight cards are usually inferior to the UFC cards held on US soil, also no one wantrs to buy a pay per view at 3:00 pm on a saturday afternoon. I have a feeling that the international events will all be free. U r prolly right, Dana has been taking a beating from fans lately, 1st loosing Fedor, than Randy... He will prolly make the announcement that it will be free at UFC 79 Nemesis
BUT John, you can't forget the PPV in Ireland. I still can't believe that we all had to pay $40 for that crap.
