well, I see the the B.S. train has already started (with Ray). Those picking Nate to win.......well good job, I am proud of you for watching TUF, although you show no real knowledge of the MMA world. Feel free to watch a fight or two away from TUF, you may see other fighters and be able to distinguish the truly talented ones.

Alvin will not gas, has insane BJJ skills, and the strenght to do great damage standing or on the ground. I think Nate is half-hearted and will fold when face with even a significant challenge.
Diaz 1st or 2nd round submission.write it down so you won't forget.
Or how about the 3rd by tko or submission or ref stopage or Why don't you just list every other possible way someone can win. Whatever, Alvin will dominate this little coat tail riding germ. If it wasn't for Nick Diaz, Nate would still be trying to get noticed somewhere.

When is Nate gonna stop riding his bros coat tail. Little Manny would have pounded him out had he not gotten hurt during that match (he wasn't hurt by Nate either). Nate's 2 victory streak is about to end. Alvin will win via ground and pound the ref will step in on this one.

Again with Gurgel Mr.NC-17. WTF.
I'll take Nate because i don't think Alvin was challenged in his last fight. Any Diaz is pure danger from guard.
I see a choke out in Mr. Robinsons future.
What? Do you want me to ignore the fact that Alvin was very dominant against Jorge?
Gurjel? Didn't he get thumped by Jason Von Flue in TUF!? If I remember correctly he is BJJ Black Belt and couldn't even get a take down. And in Ohio at UFC 77 against Alvin Robinson he got the Gorilla-Shit knocked out of him! Dudes face looked like hamburger meat and didn't even try to use his BJJ, Alvin Robinson is good but beating Jorge Gurjel isn't really saying much, Nate Dog is going to box him then submit him!
Um.. It is GURGEL, you were close though, I will give you that.

Jorge is a 155 pounder and Jason is a natural 170. Jason also had a height and reach advantage over him.

Jorge never goes for a takedown.. Really.. he never does. He perfers to stand and strike because he wants to deliever for the crowd, thats why he is in the UFC.

Um did you watch the first round of the Gurgel/Robinson fight? Gurgel actually mounted on Robinson and would of finished the fight but time ran out. Then Jorge gased. Which was very surprising.

Junior showed that Nate is very weak against leg kicks. Alvin Robinson is going to TKO Nate Diaz. Nate is not even that good, you complain that Alvin defeating Jorge is really nothing, but nonetheless who the hell has Nick Diaz defeated? Manny Gamburyan? Come on, Manny won that first round untill his glass body broke on him.

Alvin is better on the ground as a wrestler, he has better stand-up and he has good if not great submission defense.

Alvin is a Gracie trained fighter as well, and if you actually look at this record, I believe 8 of his wins are via Submission.

I don't know why people like the Diaz brothers, Nick is overrated and if he did not defeat Gomi, he would of never gained exposure.

Both Diaz brothers are idiots and babies, when they lose they act like 4 year olds.

Alvin wins.
Um...Gurjel or Gurgel either way this guy is OVERRATED and blows! He chooses to stand up rather than go for the take down, just so he can please the crowd rather than the judges and Dana White? You're probably right, the guy is not only overrated but the stupidest fighter in the UFC. If a guy has a height and reach advantage you do in fact have to go to your strength, not his, which is to be on the ground! The fact that he gassed, again, proves that his game sucks all around. He keeps that up he won't be in the UFC much longer.

Tapping Gomi, KO Robbie Lawler and winning TUF, yeah sounds like 2 unaccomplished cry-babies to me. That's more than your boy Gurjel or is it Gurgel will ever due.

As far as Robinson goes we'll see when he and Nate get it on.
So what, Nick has had two impressive wins, and he actually did not defeat Gomi, since that was overturned.

Winning TUF.. wow.. Sorry, but in that season the only threat to Nick was J-Lau but he got injured and lost to Manny. When you say winning TUF is a huge statement, sorry but after season 3, season 5 and 6 have been extremely weak. EXTREMELY. I could of been on TUF 5 or 6 and made it to the semi-finals.

Gurgel is not overrated, nor is he the stupidest fighter. I would love for you to go up to his gym in West Chester Ohio and just sit there for 3 hours and watch Jorge train. Heck talk to him for 7 minutes, and you will gain a lot of respect for the guy. He has probably the most heart other than Randy Couture in this sport. He decides he wants to stand and bang, so what, he still wins. Sure he has lost to Mark Hominick and Alvin Robinson, but those are good fighters with tremendous upside.
You're really reaching now!

So winning TUF is not a big accomplishment and you could have made it on the show? Tell you what Champ, you let me know when you do in fact make it on the show! Fact is Joe Lauzon might have been hurt but he made no excuses, he manned up and fought, he LOST but he fought! That is name of the game, nobody fights at 100%. You're grasping at straws and making sad, silly and sorry excuses for a mediocre fighter at best.

And as far as picking and choosing your seasons you're saying everbody on the show is weak, that also includes your boy Gurjel or is it Gurgel? That's a far cry from that rant you just posted. I'm sure Jorge is a hell of a guy and a hard worker, but the fact is YOU said he chooses to stand and not use his strength BJJ. I hope that you are quoting him correctly because you know as well as I do that standing and banging when you are a grappler is suicide, and it has shown is both of his lack luster performances, hence the Von Flue reference. A loss is a loss, is a loss.

As far as going to Ohio to talk to Jorge, I don't doubt that he is a character guy and trains hard, but living here in California I have trained with some pretty good guys: Gokar, the Machado brothers, Dan Inosanto and Frank Shamrock.

I know quality and hard work not just a good personality.

Mr.NC17, Dustin Hazelette is NO JOKE. That kid is for real. I seen two of his UFC fights, but I wish I have seen all of them. He has super slick BJJ skills, and I never knew what kind of hands he had, until I came across this pretty funny video.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imOxcUtq2_Y

Is that how most fights in these little rinky dink promotions go? I'd imagine its either like this, or two big fat completely out of shape and unskilled heavyweights swing and lean on each other as if they were in slow motion.

Also, I had just said the first sentence of my last post as more of a joke - I was just ribbing you Mr.NC17!!! BUT, actually, I have that same kind of passion as a fan for Nick Diaz as you do for Jorge Gurgel. So I know what its like to have your favorite fighter look like complete crap on consecutive occasions... It isn't fun.

Nate is not even that good, you complain that Alvin defeating Jorge is really nothing, but nonetheless who the hell has Nick Diaz defeated? Manny Gamburyan? Come on, Manny won that first round untill his glass body broke on him.
NICK has defeated quite a few elite WW's, and he was to ever fight GURJEL, he would destroy litle Jorge. Sorry NC17, I just had to. You picked on him for misspelling Gurgel by one letter, and than you confuse Nick and Nate.

Since TUF 2, I was a fan of Jorge Gurgel. Right off the bat, he was my favorite fighter in the house. However, I have really lost interest in him as a fighter as of late. He needs to stop worrying about "pleasing the fans" with a stand up battle, and simply please HIS fans with a WIN. I am sure that NC17 would prefer a first round submission victory for his boy Jorge, but Jorge thinks that he would prefer to see him lose and get his ass kicked on his feet. For that reason, and that reason alone, I am no longer a fan of Jorge Gurgel. He literally does not want to win. There is something wrong inside that boy's head.
Oh I don't think Nick would destroy Jorge, I think Nick would win either by KO or Decision, but I know if these two matched up Nick would win.

Even though I am a huge Gurgel fan, I am also a realist and I know Jorge is not the best fighter at lightweight, but he does have phenominal ground skills that nobody really has seen.

Jorge wants to win, but he wants the win to be exciting, and that is what his problem is. Also a couple of my friends have cornered Jorge before, and they say he gets Tunnelvision and he will not listen to the corner, which is a negative. They also want him to go for the takedown but he decides to stand and bang. So you might be right, there might be something wrong with his head.

But no matter what, I will always pull for Jorge, Rich, Dustin Hazelett (who you all will see on main tv shortly), Marcus Davis and Joe Riggs all because they all train with Jorge up in West Chester (Plus Dustin is from KY) so I will always cheer those guys.

For that reason, and that reason alone, I am no longer a fan of Jorge Gurgel. He literally does not want to win. There is something wrong inside that boy’s head.
Oh I don’t think Nick would destroy Jorge, I think Nick would win either by KO or Decision, but I know if these two matched up Nick would win.
