ufc ultimate fighter 6 final roger huerta vs clay guida
With the semifinalists almost set for season six of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF), the UFC made four more bouts official for the TUF 6 Finale on December 8 from The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Here are the welterweight match ups:

  • Jared Rollins (5-3) vs. John “War Machine” Koppenhaver (4-1)
  • Troy “Rude Boy” Mandaloniz (2-1) vs. Richie Hightower (7-1)
  • Roman Mitichyan (3-1) vs. Dorian Price (7-2)
  • Paul Georgieff (5-1) vs. Jonathan Goulet (19-9)

Interesting (and good) to see Mitichyan on the card — he was sent home on the first episode because of a broken elbow sustained during training. It made for some great television but it also revealed how badly he wanted a chance to compete inside the Octagon.

Now he’s got the opportunity to demonstrate his skills in front of a nationwide television audience on the SpikeTV special.

Surprised to see that Goulet is getting another bite at the UFC apple so soon after yet another loss his last time out against Dustin Hazelett at UFC Fight Night 11 back in September. The “Road Warrior” boasts an underwhelming record (2-3) within the eight-sided cage. He should be the favorite against the relatively inexperienced Georgieff (He got knocked out in the first round by “Rude Boy” in episode five).

For all the latest of TUF 6 and episode recaps check out our archive. There’s also the developing TUF 6 Finale fight card right here.

Remember, lightweights Roger Huerta and Clay Guida will clash during the main event of the evening, and the two remaining finalists will throwdown to see who becomes the next TUF champion. Stay tuned for more updates and fight announcements regarding this upcoming event.

Paul wasn’t very impressive in his only fight during the show…I think Goulet is going to destroy him real quick.

1ST!!!

Goulet will beat him, he will beat him bad.

I am interested in this J-Rock/War Machine match, surprisingly that fight.. Will be on the Main card.

Rude Boy will knock out Richie.

I hope Roman tears apart D-Price (sorry Jorge)

I am curious to see that dude Roman fight vs. Dorian.
The War Machine vs. Jared fight will happen because I think those 2 get into a pushing match or maybe a fight in 2nights episode of TUF. Although if they really got into a fight Dana would prolly never let them in the UFC, like he did to Naoh and Marlon Simms.

The dude Dan Barreta hasnt been scheduled to fight yet, I hope to see more of him. I have a feeling that he will be fighting John Kolaski, who also isnt scheduled to fight yet.

I think this season will provide some really talented welterweights that will be in theUFC for a while:

Ben, That lanky silly ass dude (who looks like Ross Gellar from freinds) has some skills and a nice size advantage over any other welterweight.

Matty Boy, is a good young fighter. He is poised, he looks comfortable standing, although his bread and butter is ju jitsu, which he looks really skilled in, and he showed a pretty good ground n’ pound vs. Dorian, who is about as skilled on the ground as Houston Alexander.

Mac: We all know he has what it takes. He is seasoned, well rounded, and will be in the UFC for a long time.

George: Is one tough Spartan. That greek dude is well rounded, well conditioned, and I like that he really takes the game seriously.

and the Farm Boy: a young, red headed matt hughes, before hughes learned submissions. He has got potential.

Pretty good cast. Better than I had originally thought.

Also props to War Machine. He sounds like a basket case, but he fought hard, he took a beating and never gave up. It was refreshing to see after seeing pussies give up in fights all season like Scarola, and Billy

J-Rock versus War Machine is oviously going down because of their fight which we will see next Wednesday. That will probably be the best fight next to the main event which is obviously going to be Mac Danzig versus George.

I see the semi-finals as such :

Mac Danzig versus Matt Arroyo

George versus Tommy Spears

Dana wont allow Mac and George to square off against each other. The ratings demand a solid finale and it is best to see them fight on the UFN 12 card.

Also Paul Georgieff may not realize he is the token sacrificial lamb on this card. See Danny Abbadi, or a Jorge Gurgel.

I’m looking forward to seeing some of War Machine’s stand up. I really hope he does well. You can’t help but feel sorry for the kid. He has nobody.

I wonder if Dan will fight Ben if Ben doesn’t make it to the finals since Dana thought that their should have been a round three in their first match.

Blake Bowman tore his ACL I believe, and he WILL NOT fight on this card, probably never in the UFC (we can all hope right?)

I see Ben Saunders vs. Mac Danzig in the finals.

Which sucks, I really like Matty Boy.

Well put. They are hoping for a George/Mac Final. I hope they are wrong though. I like Matt, I just don’t see him beating Mac.

All that really matters to me is Clay and Roger. Clay all the way, I hope, and think, he will take it by descision, unanimous. Roger has not fought anybody really good, and has mostly been hyped hyped and hyped somemore. Got nothin against him, but lets see what he’s really made of.

I was thinking that, too. Also, I think they will pit Kolasci against the other big meathead Tommy for a heavy-welterweight match-up.

so far I’ve got to say I like the fights and this is because there is one guy in each fight I don’t care to ever see fight again.
I’m going for jon koppenhaven, roman Mititchyan(trains with karo/manny G),Troy Mandoloniz and jonathan Goulet.
I have no interest in seeing price, rollins or hightower ever again.
I dont mind paul georgioff but goulet should win this one.
