“[Fighting in the UFC] is like a dream come true. I’m not finished yet, I’m going to get the belt. When I’m 25, I’m going to be the world champion…. I’m going to knock [Chris Lytle] out. You know, all the respect to Chris Lytle. I’ve got a lot of respect for him. I’m just very happy to fight against a big name.”
“The Pitbull” has some big plans for his career; however, he has to first get past Chris Lytle at UFC 78: “Validation” from the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., this Saturday, November 17. To read recent thoughts from Lytle on the welterweight match up click here. He’s predicting “Fight of the Night” material.

If I had a dime for every fighter that claimed he would knock someone out, I’d be rich.
The only one I believe (who says that) is Houston Alexander.
This fight should definetly be on the main card instead of ed Herman vs. Doerkson.!
Lytle vs. Alves… 2 very skilled fighters, who let it all hang out. This will be a great fight and I cant offer a prediction on this one… Its just way to close to call
Well it’s good to be confident, but Lytle has this one.

No joke. Herman has been a disappointment after he talked such a big game on TUF. Lytle should be pissed. He’s paid his dues, Hughes couldn’t finish him, and he’s still on the fricken undercard. I’m hoping there will be a lot of quick fights and they will need to show some undercard fights to fill time.
Lytle has no way to win this fight, sad cuase I like the guy, but Thiago is gonna rag doll him.
I don’t know… All of those losses in Lytle’s record make it seem like hes got some serious holes in his fighting game. If Alves can find em, I think he’ll take it.

your dam right this should be on the main card, i wish they would show all the fights then you would get your moneys worth.i don’t know who will win but lytle always comes to fight.

Really? I am going with the PitBull in this fight. I personally think that he will try to overwhelm Lytle with his aggression, and will be successful.

Not like 28 hours or so. Weigh ins are the day before the event.
this is one of like 5 fights that could steal the show this weekend, i’m very fired up about this ppv, i know a lot of people don’t like the main event, but if those people would look past the main event, every other fight on the card has potential to be aweome, this is one show i really wish they showed all the fights, i wish that for every ppv, but this one especially…
This will be a good fight. It’s tough to call. I see it going the distance. I don’t think that Alves will KO Lytle. Lytle’s never been KO’d or submitted although he was “KO’d” due to a cut against Riggs. Lytle’s only been stopped once and I don’t see Alves stopping him. Hughes isn’t the striker that Alves is but he is one of the best in the history of the UFC and he couldn’t even do much to the crafty Lytle. I’m looking to see Lytle win a decision, but hopefully he’ll submit Alves.
I like Lytle, but I’m thinking Alves.
It does get kinda old hearing EVERY FIGHTER make big time predictions. I know it’s all to promote the fight and show confidence…so whatever.

I’d also believe Karo Parysian if he says that
I wonder if there has ever been a fighter who said he sees it going to a decision, haha.
What if:
” I see it being a war, going the full 3 rounds and I’ll do my best to bring it to him. It probably won’t be enough though and I’ll hopefully do my best to avoid getting submitted, but if it happens it happens. I see it going to decision where if luck is on my side, I will win it..count on a split decision win for me.”
haha.

HAHA! That’s what Karo should say for every fight!

Thiago Alves predicts knockout of Chris Lytle at UFC 78 fight
Has a fighter ever predicted that he would lose???
Hopefully Alves timed his steroid cycle better for this fight.
I’m thinking Lytle has this fight. Thiago is aggressive and hits hard but Lytle has great composure and experiance and will be able to bring it to his pace at which then he will submit alves.
I like Chris Lytle a lot, and I think this is a tough match-up for him.
I think Thiago wins via Ground and Pound stoppage.
Thiago normally delivers on his ko bets though….I mean he pretty much was beating up fisher up till he got caught in that triangle…

Thiago has been training full time for quite some time now. I’m not even sure if Lytle is training full time yet. As of TUF 4, he wasn’t, because he still had his job as a fire fighter. Currently, Lytle is on his way down the ladder, and Alvez is making his way up.
Looking at Lytle’s opponents, the only great strikers I see are Joe Riggs and Robbie Lawler - Both of whom defeated Lytle.
So again, I will say that I predict Alvez to come out victorious via TKO.

YES, Rashad recently said this about his fight with Bisping. He said he wants to beat him up for all 3 rounds in his weekly write up on UFC.com. Bisping’s reply was pretty funny - bringing up how Rashad can’t finish fights… (but as of late he can).

2 be honest with you all, I wouldnt be surprised to see the Rashad Bisping fight be a bust. So many times when 2 undefeated fighters fight, they come out tense because neither wants to loose the 0. Somebody’s 0 got to go matches are sometimes busts. Hopefully the fighters come out confident that they can finish the other causing them to not be tentative.
