I am not happy that this is a main event but I am very curious to see of this match unfolds. Bisping is the traditionally stronger kickboxer, but rashad has improved alot with his hands and overall striking. I believe that Rashads blows will damage Bisping more than Bisping’s will damage Rashad. Bisping got outboxed by matt hamil of all people. A lot of that had to do with Bisping worrying about being taken down (simular to how couture outstuck big tim).

Bisping has to be worrying about the takedown against rashad. Rashad has a great wrestling pedigree. He was a division one wrestler who held his own against Tito and may have even out wrestled him. Rashad will be the more powerful striker.

However, even though Bisping got outboxed by hamil, he did preety well against hamil’s wrestling. He stuffed a couple takedowns, and even stood up a couple times after Hamil took him down.

I expect that at some point Rashad will take Bisping down and be on top controlling Bisping. Bisping has good ju jitsu, but not great ju jitsu (Rashad wont have to worry about Bisping trying to catch him in a twister or splits a la Mayhem), but Rashad will have to defend against Kimura’s, triangle’s and armbars. Those techniques are pretty basic in today’s mma so I expect Rashad to be able to defend it.

I try to think about what the outcome of thisw fight will be and at 1st, I saw Rashad TKO bisping , then I saw Bisping out box9ing Rashad to a win, now I( am leening towards a decision.
This fight is hard to predict, vegas odds are Rashad -280, and I am considering laying some action on Rashad since they are pretty much on the same level, except for the fact that the brit is a puny 205, where as Rashad has fought at Heavyweight!

Tough call, but I will throw some money on Rashad

The Evans vs. Ortiz fight was pretty bad. I hope that fight isn’t indicative of what is to come from Rashad. I don’t want to stomach another 3 rounds of Rashad waving his arms around. Bisping was tentative in his fight with Hamill until Hamil brought it to him a little. I could see this fight going to decision for either Bisping or Evans.

I’m not overly impressed with either one of them.

I really want to see Rashad kick the crap out of Bisping. I like Rashad and I hate Bisping. It’s about time he has to fight somewhere other than in front of his home crowd. The only problem I see with Rashad is that he only fights as well as his opponent. If his opponent isn’t bringing his A game, then neither is Rashad. I think this main event was throw together too save one of their perfect records , cause if you gave them both rematches cause of controversey they could very well both end up with losses which is how it should actually be if Tito didnt grab the fence and the judges didnt give Bisping a gimme over Hammill.

I like both fighters, but I don’t think Bisping has what it takes to beat Rashad. Bisping never fought high quality opponents and should have lost to Matt Hamill. Rashad beat Bonnar and Jardine, and his fight with Tito ended in a draw.

I wish all the cry babies would shut it over the main event and this card as a whole. So what if it isn’t the best main event ever for an event…it’s a good matchup and should be a good fight. The card as a whole is pretty damn good top to bottom and it should be a good night of exciting fights. We get to see a UFC event at least once a month so sit back…relax…and calm down. This may end up being one of the best events ever. Keep an open mind and chill out. I think the fact that UFC has put together some really great events recently has spoiled a lot of the fans so now when there aren’t marquee names all over an event…the fans get upset. It’s just one event. Enjoy the wars that we’re going to see.

Whe else here besides PhilQNY watched the Contender Finale last night? Yeah, its boxing, I rarely watch it too, but that may very well win boxing fight of the year. WHAT A FIGHT. Too bad Jaidon THE DON Codrington didn’t come out on top. I am a fan of his, plus he is from Bridgeport,CT which is like 10 mins away, and I used to always hang out down there.

I thought he was finished when he got knocked down in the first 30 seconds of ROund 1. I thought he’d get up, and Bika would finish him off Alan Green style. (If anyone hasn’t seen the Alan Green/Jaidon Codringtion KO yet, watch it on youtube, it was Ring Magazine KO of the year). But what’s Jaidon do, he catches Bika with a short left and DROPS him. I really wanted Jaidon to win and was actually upset that he lost. No worries though. He is only 23 years old. Not only will he be champ one day, but he may very well be a non-HW boxer that people actually know about that’s not named Floyd Mayweather or Oscar De La Hoya.

Bisping is the wannabe fighter. Bisping has no skills whatsoever. Unlike Forrest Griffin and all the other TUF winners Bisping truly is just a reality star. Since when did beating Rothermael, Schafer and three fighters below .500(Pointon, Haynes and Sinosic) get you main event status and a
