Calling all Matt Hughes fans — a current coach on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 6 and former welterweight champion has put together a workout video for casual fans to help motivate them to get in shape.

Here’s an excerpt from Matt Hughes Blog:

This past weekend, a film crew came to town and we did a download project for iAmplify and had a great time. I got along with everybody on the set and we used an old building here in Hillsboro, so it was just a really good time. The video is basically going to be my workout just really watered down for the general public. It’s not really designed for fighters, just average people looking to get in shape.

It’s actually not a terrible idea, but from a marketing standpoint I’m not sure if “watered down” is the best tagline to accompany a motivational video.

iAmplify is a subscription-based service that does have a try-before-you-buy option; however, how much the video will cost (if anything) has yet to be determined.

We’ll bring you more details (and hopefully the video) as they become available.

On the tuf topic: I sucks to be on Team Hughes those guys look like crap..

by seeing clips of the fighters..Tommy and war machine make it to the second round..it could be a straight 7 fight sweep.

I’m not counting Tommy out..he still looks to be intact.

A. He was the champion.
B. His team wasn’t getting his ass handed to him on TUF.

off-topic:
Houston Alexander did an interview on the radio station I listen to this morning, and despite what you might think from watching his post fight interviews, or his entire persona up to this point, he is a very well spoken, and generally nice, intelligent, and funny person.

He was however, reduced to punching a guy in the arm (the guy complained of crazy pain in his arm, followed by a headache).

You’re absolutley right mate… I was a massive Fan of hughes when i first saw UFC maybe 5-6 years ago, he was un-parralelled in my opinion! Best pound per pound fighter at the time (Correct me if I’m wrong) and definately an inspiration to me back then… as was Tito.

But once i realised what he is like as a person it just pushed me away from him as a fan, I like people to be likeable i don’t arrogant pple. I’m afraid he has it in abundance.

Would i like to train with Matt… HELL YES, he would get you as ready as anyone could for a fight in the cage IMO!

OK, my bad. I thought you already knew the quarterfinalists, and were posting a spoiler. The previews looks like War Machine has a lot of mental issues going on. Hopefully Tommy can win, because that would be VERY pathetic if Hughes only has 1 win, and that being Mac Danzig who is possibly “over-qualified for the show” (in his words, and somewhat mine). On top of that, Mac fought the worst fighter in the house, wait, I am not using the term fighter to describe him. He fought the biggest pussy in the house, Joe Scarola.

I think you guys are forgeting that the first time he coached in TUF his fighter (joe stevenson) won the whole thing, the second fighter in the finale was luke cummon from his team as well. His problem were the heavy weights in which he made really bad choices from the beginning, but in the end he cornered Rashad to the finale. He is a good coach, but I think his team members did not fully appreciate the opportunity they have infront by training with matt, I guess you have to have character, all his team did was complain about the workouts, if you are an athlete you usually appreciate being worked to the limit as it gets you mentally prepared.

Listen up you spoiler-posting douchebags. Posting the results of a show that has not yet aired and that everyone is planning on watching when it airs does not make you cool. It does not make us like you more. In fact, it has the exact opposite effect. It makes us hate you. It makes The Mania seriously consider blocking your IP address to keep you off this amazing site where MMA fans come to share thoughts and opinions on various MMA-related topics. I’m sorry if your lives are so sad, pathetic and empty that you need to make yourselves feel important by revealing the results of a show that the rest of us have not yet seen. If you would like to sit in your parents’ basement and surf the internet all day until you find advance results of taped shows, then giggle when the show plays out exactly as you knew it would then by all means feel free. But keep the information to yourselves and don’t ruin it for the rest of us who only want to block out an hour of our lives each week to watch a show we enjoy.
