Shameless UFC greed.
I agree I could not believe how little Rich earned for his fights are you kidding me. I am not saying Vera does not deserve 100,000 but I am saying Franklin definately deserves more than Vera.Rich is the one who brings in fans not Vera at least not yet Vera was pretty much forgotten he has been gone so long.

yea i agree with the lot of y'all who think the salaries are lame
- especially for all except the top 5 fighters.

look at it this way:

the hi level of fighting can allow training for an average of a fight every 3 months
X 4 (per year) = crap yearly wage.

so if your a low tier fighter 6000 x 4 = 24,000 a
year for a short career that'll leave you out of work and untrained for the job market in a decade if you are not planning to teach MMA etc

plus the injuries will haunt you in your golden years

keep in mind
-this is a career that only lasts a decade or 2 max
- half the time somebody loses - no bonus
- they could get injured
- pension sick pay?
workmans compensation?

How could tito of earn't that much with absolutely no stand up. Every time I see him try to stand and trade he goes down. I know his wrestling is gr8 but in this day and age he will never get the belt back so what the hell. Silvia = $5 per fight.

I can't believe vera got 100k, that is what pisses me off about the UFC and Dana White. They have really ridiculous pay days, either a fighters making shit, or making a lot more than he should.

What a load of bullshit. I've probably purchased 15 ppv's at home over the past couple of years. $50 each!(in HD). If that's the best the ufc can pay their talent I WILL NOT purchase anymore fights. I can just go down to the neighborhood bar and watch it for free. FU Dana. You are ruining this for everyone.

Wow Alvin Robinson made 6,000 for that fight he will have to eat alot of peanut butter sandwiches for awhile. These guys only fight two or three fights a year at that rate your looking at 18,000 a year or less! The McDonalds down the street from me is hiring cashiers for $8.50 an hour. $8.50 and hour a person would make $17680 a year. So, basically what I am saying is Dana White is a bigger clown than Ronald McDonald!

I'm glad guys like Silvia and Vera making 100k plus. Now get the rest of the fighters up there. UFC is doing as much PPV dollars as WWE right now, it can easily afford it.

Brandon Vera making 100K is a good thing for UFC fighters. not bad. It just shows that the UFC is starting to pay the fighters more money when fighters are renegotiating contracts.

Like miarep said "He(rich) is still obligated to his old contract, which was good at the time."
Fighter's signing contracts now have a better chance to make more bread, then fighters who signed 2 years ago.
Nonetheless' I think fighters should make a little bit more then they do.
At this point Zuffa is making enough money to pay a little better..
But I cant wait when the UFC grows even more and starts paying out big time, and everyone starts complaining that these guy's make too much.
But the problem I see with Rich's contract is that 2 years ago, he was the MW champ! I would have thought he'd have a better contract than 45/45.
Rich sign an unusual long 8 fight deal and never re-negotiated. That's one of the reason Dana promises the UFC is Franklin's home!..lol... now that he lost the title and doesn't look like he'll ever get past Silva, I'm sure in re-negotiations he's not worth as much as he once was.
Exactly. Dana knows that Rich is never going to be champion again so why should he give him a bunch more money? Rich fought his prime years for chump change and I doubt he will ever see the big payoffs now that he is spent. He will probably get a modest raise to like 50k per fight.
