Bisbing is nothing but a poster boy for the UFC UK Marketing team. He is a joke as a LHW. He lost the fight in the UK to Matt Hamill and it seems like Evans was held back, or he turned to crap since I last saw him fight. That was the worst fight I have seen since Bisbings last fight. Thank God for the undercards. Joe T was awesome, that kid is going places.

The last Bisping fight at the O2 in London produced record receipts for the UFC. So I guess Bisping is a big name. Also he was the only one to accept a fight against Rashad Evans. Tito backed off and nobody else came forward. Dan White likes what Bisping does for the UFC. It would be better for the UFC for Bisping to win but the result is as uncertain as a Chuck Liddell fight or Tim Sylva fight. But most people will be disappointed that Fedor and Couture are not fighting very soon for heavyweight crown.

lol, way to state the obvious Rob.

Yes, Dana wants to market to the UK, but the problem is Dana choosing the first British scrub to win fights in the UFC to do so.

And yes, I want to watch Chuck vs. Wandy too. Just pointing out the jumbled rankings for title contention in the division.
What is Bisping's appeal?? I've been confused ever since UFC decided to make this kid a posterboy. He was a jackass since the beginning of the TUF season he was on and he still is. He won that TUF final because Hamil was hurt. The guy has no credentials and he's very mediocre in the cage. It really doesn't make any sense to me why Dana has such a crush on him. I really hope Rashad smashes him.

Neither of them deserve a title shot (obviously). Griffin and Jardine should be at top contention right now, with Wanderlei mixed in somehow. The division is really strange right now because Griffin, Jardine and Chuck all have recent losses (Chuck with 2 in a row). The way I see it for Wanderlei to be in the mix for title contention, a fight with Chuck doesn't make sense because of Chuck's recent losses.
Bisping is good for marketing in the UK and the UK is a major world market. That's why Dana is pushing him out there.

Chuck v Wanderlei makes sense because everyone wants to see it and it would be a huge money maker. Even with the recent loss, the match would still be huge.

As a fan, you're understadably looking at fighters and rankings. As a business, the UFC is looking also at making a lot of money.

Yeah all these guys are ahead of the two TUFers. I'd even say Shogun despite his lack lustre performance against Griffin.

Maybe this is the easy defense Rampage wants next. Didn't he say something like that. Nearly all champs get one or two easy ones just to keep things ticking over while a messed up division sorts itself out. Hell I know MW is shallow but Franklin got Nate Quarry so it could actually happen.

It would be a joke. Then again Jardine just beat Liddell so who knows?
It's tough to say that anyone in the UFC is an easy defense but I agree with what you're saying.

These guys are undefeated and fairly impressive and the division needs to work things out with all of the new aquisitions so it kind of makes sense.

I wouldn't mind seeing Rampage handing one of them their first loss.
