“When I look at him I see a young guy who’s very explosive. He’s a big man, 6-2, walks around about 215 or so, 220, quite a good size. And he still maintains his explosiveness at that weight and size, which means he’ll be able to hit quite hard and pull out of things and be a difficult person to keep control of, even in a grappling situation. So I don’t take him lightly at all. From what I’ve seen, he’s improved in his ground game and his wrestling. I expect him to be in good shape as well because he is a young man still, his conditioning is probably quite good. I’ve seen him in bouts before where he’s got a little tired. Usually an athlete learns from that and doesn’t want that to happen again. I know that’s been my experience.”

I could really care less about this fight. I got nothing vested in either one of them. The funny thing is, these are the fights that are usually better than the Main Events.

I thought Starnes..was going do something out of TUF season..but i’m not impressed with his fights if wins or loses.
I like Kalib he’s a stand up guy one of few that didn’t act like a ass on tuf, I hope he comes hard and gets knockout or sub of the night
yea Starnes seems like a level headed intelligent dude. hope he takes the win.
i’ve always said starnes has the talent but is just a pussy at heart when it comes down to it, it just seems like when there’s any sign of adversity he just folds, but i’d really like to see him get over that and learn how to push through when the fight gets a little tough or he gets a little injury or something… i think he got a little lucky in the leban fight because i thought leban won, but now he has a chance to string together a couple wins and get his career back on track, belcher is a tough dude and this is a good test for starnes…
I cant stand Starnes I hope Belcher kicks his A**. Way to arrogant. I will admit he looked improved in his last fight but he can’t finish because he doesnt have a Champions heart

Spida, I couldn’t have said it better myself. I think you knew what I was talking about when I said that Kalib has an inner beast inside of him that can just rip people’s heads off, but he keeps in inside of himself and gives up especially when things aren’t going his way.
the last thing kalib is arrogant. kalib has huge heart. you know nothing about him i grew up with the guy and hed give you his last dollar.somebody calls him a pussy because of the kendall fight your crazy he had the cartalage ripped off his ribcage.watch the leban fight again and youll see he almost knocked him out then when kalib was dead tired and leban took him down kalib reversed it and stayed on top throwing punches till the third round was over.a pussy and arrogant are 2 things this guy is not …kalib by submission
