It is a sad day.

Time will basically heal it all….. but lets keep the drama in the ring and not in the business. That’s what makes UFC awesome.

Dana took a completely dying sport and turned it into a legitimate fan based, money making machine.

Randy fought in a dying sport and stuck it out to become the sports most respected fighter and made fortunes doing it.

The sport has been good to both and Dana and Randy were good for each other.

An agreement was forged and a contract signed. UFC was the stage for Randy. Ego’s aside….honor the agreement and at that point if you bail then more power to you.

Fans will still love and watch Randy wherever he goes, just maybe with a little less respect than before. He was always the pillar of class….. bailing on a contract unfortunately tarnishes that somewhat although he will still always be the man!

I hate to see all the crap being slung in both directions…… let the parties to be work it out and keep the faith gang. UFC and Dana is here to stay, Randy is here until he hangs it up for good and becomes an MMA hall of famer that he truly is…..

You will be sorely missed here Randy…….. but you can bet we will be tuning in to watch you wherever you land….

Dana…….keep it going…..you have my respect.

He is just a businessman. Any decision he makes is likely to be influenced by how much money he can make. Often his decisions are not good for UFC as a sport. A prime example is the debacle that was the Bisping v Hamill fight. It was important that Bisping came out as the winner as he is mostly responsible for UFC’s popularity in the UK. It’s a pity corruption finally appears to have crept into the sport. Peace to all genuine UFC fans.

I’ve lost a lot of respect for Dana White in the last week.

He’s immature and treats fighters like plastic pawns to be marched around on a chessboard.

Randy Couture made White a lot of money. A lot more than Couture ever made and I’m sad to see a great champion treated like dirt. Because that is how White is treating Couture.

He signed a contract just eight months ago, I dislike how most athletes give their word, sign a contract and then want to redo their deal before finishing that contract. Man-up Randy, don’t be a punk like the rest of these athletes in other sports!
