Imagine if Tito somehow finds the Tito of old within himself, comes in healthy and as prepared as we’ve ever seen him, and knocks off Hendo in quality fashion. I have to say that I think Hendo’s an alright guy but I would be jumping for mother*ucking joy to see Tito give the ultimate f*ck you to all the people that doubted him and said he’s washed up.
GO TITO!!!
I thought Dan was droping to 185? This might be a sleeper if it goes down. No pun intended.
Sorry but Tito is all washed up. His last few fights have been a real let down. Tito used to be an unstoppable force but he has lost what ever it was he had. Henderson will beat him up bad and retire Tito.
TITO Vs RASHAD
no wait
TITO Vs Bisping
no wait
TiTo Vs Hendo
What’s next…Tito Vs the Wicked Witch of the West
Tito hasn’t looked good in his last few fights and he needs the money so he can retire. I wish him the best.

… and then you wake up.
i hope tito does fight hendo and i hope he does win, but if he doesnt he needs to just retire before he craps all over his legecie
id be matt serra over gsp shocked if tito won that fight.
i feel bad for tito if this fight happens….
i feel bad for tito if this fight happens….
There’s a few hundred reason why Tito would be happy if this fight happens.
I meant a few hundred thousand reasons….
looks like they might pencil this fight in dec swing the lidell vs silva as the main event in feb super card
or may even add bj penn fight to the super card as well they have 5 big fights put them onto dec and feb superbowl card
serra vs hughes dec
ortiz vs hendo
bj penn vs stevenson/sherk
nogueira vs kongo
lidell vs silva
just put three for dec the other two for feb
but given the vacant title in heavyweight the kongo match would have to be in dec
Tito vs. Hendo…that would be very interesting…everybody keeps forgetting that all of Tito’s fights are huge…if they fight and he finds a way to win convincingly (notice I didn’t say he would win but “if”)they will set up a match with Tito and Rampage in the spring. Which would be bigger than Tito vs. chuck….Tito might lose, but Dana White can’t
“I thought Dan was droping to 185? This might be a sleeper if it goes down. No pun intended.”
Since when did fans wanting him to drop to 185 make you think that he was going to do it? Hes said time and time again that he wants to stay at 205, which I agree, sucks.
Tito is a little too one dimensional to take on Henderson. Henderson’s well roundedness will pull him through. Tito’s takedowns aren’t that good. I don’t think he’ll be able to hold him down or box with him like Rampage did.
I think the appeal of this fight is to watch Tito get his ass whipped once more. Even as highly as Tito thinks of himself, I can’t see how he could honestly believe his wrestling or standup game is better than Hendo’s.
You guys keep forgeting that this is MMA. Anything can happen. Who knows whats gonna happen. Lets just watch the fights. Have a beer. [Smoke some weed (Nick Diaz)] and just let these fights unfold.

I agree, lets admit it, Tito Ortiz brings in big numbers, thats why Dana White cant afford to lose him, and pay him what he asked for. Rampage vs Ortiz will be a sick fight! Chances are Rampage will win, but itll be a sellout and bring the UFC alotta Money!
I just hope they spread out the fights a bit more, otherwise we will end up with another UFC 78, Evans vs Bisping?!?!?
I can’t wait to see Lidell v. Silva, this one should be on December, the rest can wait…
Hendo is a better fighter right now. Tito will put on a great fight, but I see Hendo as too much for him.
there is no way tito will beat hendo. hendo is a better striker and wrestler. he is the best in the clinch out of probably anyone in mma. he wasn’t at his best against jackson and still only lost by one round. i’m not taking anything away from jackson though. hendo is the real deal and will prove it in his next fight whoever it is. in my mind he is the best mw and easily top 2or3 lhw’s in the ufc.
i’m not bashing tito or saying he is done…i just think hendo is better.
I see this fight as a decision for Tito or a KO for Henderson. I think Hendo should focus on beating Tito with his superior boxing skills and he can get the KO. Tito needs to take the fight to the ground and pound out a decision.
…that’s if the fight happens, of course.
I thought Tito was going to be out for a while to rest up. You see, you can’t trust a thing this clown Tito says. He’s a puppet and he always will be. Why are we wasting our breath even talking about this bobblehead? I hope he is not on 79 or any card thereafter.
man… this is a bad matchup for Tito, the only thing he has going for him is his size advantage…. he may not even be able to take down the ex- olympic wrestler… and Henderson is fist slinging cowboy… Tito may get KO’d.

I understand what you are saying – but I would rather see fights sooner then later. We never know who is going to get hurt or who is going to smoke a joint, who is going to break into a house, who is going to roid out, ect. This fight thing is too unstable to plan like us responsible people.
tito will beat up hendo. and sling shot to LHW contention again. but will not fight RAMPAGE. for sure. maybe another tito vs forrest.

Well said. And tito/rampage would be sick only in the sense of a highlight reel knockout of gorilla head.
dan henderson is a machine and i would still say he is #2 LHW in the world… why the hell would he want to drop to 185 and fight chumps
there would only be 2 or 3 fights in the division that may even be remotely interesting… franklin… silva… okami (possibly)
henderson probably hasnt got that long left in mma so id expect him to only want top fighters .. id expect him to dominate ortiz like randy did and possibly even get a KO
winner of this should get the winner of chuck wanderlei for a title shot
in the meantime griffin rampage for the title…
rampage needs to fight in december or january…too long a layoff otherwise
jardine vs houston or… for a title shot

Um,beating a 185r would be right Tito`s league..if he didnt walk through somebody he was fighting 20 pounds less than him it would be pathetic…That said…Hendo would spank Tito
tito is a huge underdog in this fight.. dan henderosn is so good
but what if tito upset him? then whats next for Dan henderson?
there so many crazy upsets going on in this year 2007

Maybe he shouldn’t wake up. He’ll likely not even recognize Tito after Hendo has his way with him. Rampage beat Hendo but it took a 5 round decision to do it. Tito is no Rampage.
I see this fight going full rounds. Tito is bigger and can take hendo down. Tito has no stand up so he’ll try to take it to the ground. I believe most of the fight will be on the clinch against the fence. Both excellent wrestlers.
But if everything goes nice, hendo swings huge right, tito drops and hendo finishes him with brutal g’n'p. Tito has no chance to finish this fight before time.
I think I speak for everyone when I say I would rather see Silva/Franklin vs Hendo.
if this happens alot of fans on the east coast r gonna be mad cause it was supposed to happen at 78

i would like the UFC to just say screw u because u screwed us and didnt fight at 78 like u were supposed to
I’m not sure of the odds going into this fight.
But if it’s anywhere near even, which I honestly think it will be, I’m putting all my money on Hendo.

thats the thing i saw awhile back on a site 5 BIG matches for UFC 79, 2 title fights and 3 other big ones but u cant have those because 1 of them will not make it to TV and not when i look at the site those fight r not there anymore

It’s nice to see that someone else knows that Tito is far from washed up. He can definitely give Hendo a run.

can’t see it happening…
Bullshit!!!!!!!! I guarentee you all that this fight never happens. Tito doesnt have the heart to get in the cage with an animal like Henderson. It took forever to get Tito in a cage with Liddell, and it was a title spot. Tito has no ballz, he just wants to fight mid level fighters like the TUF stars. He has turned into the stepping stone of the LHW division.
Mark my words… Tito will never fight Henderson, Wanderlei, Rampage, Shogun……… That is a fact!!!!
So this is just someone blowing smoke up our asses, because there is no way in the world that I believe that Tito will ever step up and fight any top fighters. Then again, he doesnt deserve to fight top tier fighters anyway!
This news is BULLSHIT!!! Never going to happen!!!!!!
Let Tito fight Houston Alexander!

I don’t care what anyone says Ortiz has NO CARDIO!!!! Look at his last fights. I am sick of hearing what a cardio machine he is becAuse it does not show!!!!

I Agree!
Look at his fights with Evans,Forest, and Chuck. He has no GAS!
I do not know why people doubt Tito. In the last few years he has only lost to Randy and Chuck. He is still a great fighter and everytime he fights, fight fans do not want to miss the fight. It is true that he needs to come up with something new when he fights again.

That’s because he’s never fought an A-level fighter since getting owned by those two!

I totally agree. Most of these people are haters. I bet they were all saying that Randy Couture should retire after his second loss against Chuck Liddell. Then when he came out of retirement to fight Tim Sylvia, they were all doubting him saying he should stay retired. Most great fighters get into “ruts” during their careers. I can already see everyone jumping back on the Tito Ortiz bandwagon when he comes back strong.

Well, I dont hate Tito – so my comments are not biased in this sense. However, I thought he lost to forrest and evans in addition to the others you mention. His moment of glory was when he lifted shamrock and slammed him into retirement.
I have said this before – Tito has tried to become too perfect. He needs to be more fluid and be willing to take a hit in order to dictate his style of fighting and winning.

Although his win against FORREST is questionable, he CLEARLY did not lose to Rashad Evans. I believe he should have won that fight. If Rashad had not taken him down in the 3rd round, Tito would have won. It is frustrating for me to see people like Matt Hamill not score on takedowns and lose a fight. Rashad Evans should not have won that fight even if Tito did grab the fence.

The fact that the Tito/Rashad fight was so close says enough about the both of them. Rashad is on the way up… and well, Tito is…
There is a fighter in Canada named Roger “The Hulk” Hollett with hands of stone like Houston Alexander. He’s 7-0 in MMA and never gone past 2 minutes of the 1st round. I would love to see him smashing on Tito’s melon. It would not be perceived very well (Tito being the “A” level fighter he is (!) fighting a newbie) so it won’t happen. But it would be nice.
i said this about a week ago but none of you guys across the pond even acknowledged me.hate to be the one that said told you so
until Tito Hands Rashad an ass whoopin he does not have my vote!
Mark my words: Tito will never get into a cage with Henderson, Wanderlei, Shogun, or Rampage…. so this whole thread is a waste of time!!
I heard this on the the radio and I thought the one comment he made about all his friends and family were pressuring him to go to 185 so he could dominate, but his feelings were that he thinks he can contend with the higher up class so why not. Super competitor.
He also made the Randy Couture comments about not wanting to waste his fights to fight someone not high up in the MMA world.
Mark my words: Tito will never get into a cage with Henderson, Wanderlei, Shogun, or Rampage…. so this whole thread is a waste of time!!
thats the only way he will ever get back into title contention and thats what he is all about, you dont know what you talking about dude, personally I thought he lost to forrest big time even if he did take him down on that 3rd round it was more of a slip from Griffin, and he won against Rashad and all you ppl keep saying Rashad is on the way up well Tito won that fight so hes still good enough to fight. Its like saying Lidell is washed up he just hit a bump in his career, as do all fighters that are good, even the fighters say it time and time again, at this level of fighting its impossible to go undefeated.
Oh and by tito won that fight against Rashad I mean was suppose to

Like I said, Tito hasn’t beaten real competition in years! At least Chuck has faced top competition before losing 2 straight.

Ok dude, I dont know what I am talking about. We will see, Im telling you Tito vs. Henderson WONT happen. U think Im an idiot fine, but you will see. Tito wont ever fight wanderlei, shogun, Liddell, Rampage or Henderson. Tito belongs in the WWE. Any fighter who has fought in MMA for 10 years and still cant throw a decent punch…is a fool!
If you are familiar with the post you would know that I am right more often then not!!!!!
HENDERSON vs. TITO will NEVER happen!!! get a knew Hispanic Hero Hector!!!!!!!!
Everytime its time for Tito to fight a top guy, he talks about how he wont fight his good freinds like he did against Chuck. He said Chuck was living on his couch and was feeding him….. lol what an Idiot…. This world is soo messed up, I cant believe Tito still has fans!!!!!!!
why dont i get notified buy email
Hey John, you know what, TITO AND HENDERSON WILL NEVER HAPPEN! Tito does not have the balls to step into the octagon with a fighter the caliber of Henderson. Even though on any given day, he probably outweighs him by 30 lbs.
Ortiz V Henderson would be a top fight and should happen with blow by blow commentry from Tito’s Jenna Jameson
I don’t see this fight happening, but it would be great because it would set up several fights down the road. If you put Shogun in this fight instead of Tito, it gets better. There are a lot of scenarios that could play out and lead to great fights. If Chuck beats Wandy, he could fight the Shogun/Hendo winner or loser, since a 3rd match with Rampage would be pointless. Either guy (Shogun or Hendo) would be huge vs. Chuck from a marketing perspective. If Wandy beats Chuck, which I think is likely, then he can fight Rampage. If Hendo beats Shogun, he could certainly take on the Wandy/Rampage winner. If Shogun wins he could fight Chuck, or more likely Rampage.
You could pretty much run the same scenarios with Tito, the only downside would be if he and Chuck won their respective fights. We all know Chuck has Tito’s number.
