I would agree that talent wise Blake maybe shouldn’t have been considered, but the guy is normal guy and I respect him for going for it. I was shocked when no one mauled his cake, and they actually were nice about the whole thing. He should have listened to Mac a little more… The one body kick he threw looked like it had some bite on it.

Unless Matt Hughes treated Blake Bowman completely different off-camera, Blake has no right making these comments about Matt Hughes who tried to help him the best he could. The kid had zero MMA fights, and Hughes still showed him love and confidence.

But its all good. Hughes is fighting for the UFC WW belt, again, in December. And Blake Bowman will be lucky to be picked up by whatever bottom of the barrell league that is currently showcasing the likes of Wayne Weems. But that probably won’t even happen either. Blake is not a fighter, and never will be, especially a UFC fighter.

He’ll get a dark match on the finale show if his knee is healed. If he loses that one he’ll be back to wrestling bears at Alabama county jamborees.

I wouldn’t neccesarily compare him to Corey Hill but Blake definately has no business in the show, he got injured so many times from light touches, he just doesn’t have the body for MMA.

Dan hawley went to the set of Jerry Springer with Wes simms, b/c simms stole Hawley’s $2000 fight earnings from the Bodog NJ fight, and spent it on hookers, video taped it and sent hawley a copy.
simms convinced hawley that he wanted to pay him back, and that he wanted to sort it out, and that it would be fun to do on springer. so on sunday 10/7/07 they both flew they both flew to chicago, for the tpaing monday, and while in their seperate green rooms, hawley got bored and convinced one of the girls that works on the set to let him into simms’ room.

hawley asked simms for his money and simms sd that he wasnt gonna pay him back so hawley
punched him, landed an upper cut and knocked simms out, he proceeded to jump on top of him and pound out simms face and the went for a heel hook, he popped simms out and started screaming when he came to.

needless to say springer’s crew ushered them out of the building pretty quickly and didnt tape an episode (they said it was b/c simms was bleeding too much).

and 20 min later hawley was back on a plane to buffalo.

LOL I’m sure theres some truth to this but why is matt hughes the biggest “jerk” out there?, come on man give me a break. He’s a fighter and not the friendliest cat out there, big deal, he is kind of arrogant but I still don’t mind him, his better qualities out weigh his weaknesses in my book. He’s a family man, does a lot of work for charities, is a man of his word and more but to each there own, everyone focus’s on different thinks, as to what is more important.

There’s plenty of couch potatoes here that don’t mind talking trash about Bowman, Hughes or whomever else, even though they have the same 0-0 pro fight record. And that’s perfectly okay. It’s the message that counts, not the messenger.

Likewise, I wish people would go a little easier on Bowman. He’s obviously not a high caliber fighter and may not have the potential to be one, but I give him a minimum amount of respect for getting in the cage and giving it a shot. I don’t think the UFC should’ve invited him on the show, but once that invitation was extended, did Bowman have some obligation to turn it down? Would you, if you were given his opportunity? He probably will get a dark match and I hope he learns enough in the time between the show and the match to put up a respectable fight.

I watched the supposed knee buckle injury in dvr slo-mo several times and it looked to me like he jumped to the canvas when he got punched. I could see no evidence of twist or hyperextension.

I looked more like the first time he had been punched in the face.

I would like to see a dr eval of the injury either on spike or dug up elsewhere.

The show is designed to have a certain number of strawmen ( those with little or no chance of winning). It seems as though he would fit into this category.

I’ve seen white’s response to online websites,,, and that was in reference to randy being highest 2nd paid fighter in UFC.
Essentially Randy stated he got it directly from other fighters, about bonuses etc.. but wouldn’t quote them directly(probably against contractual obligations to discuss such matters).

Many Figthers talk to other fighters about what they’re making, but of course add “Don’t say you heard it from me.”

“Dana says where’d did you hear that”? the fighter doesn’t want to say, and rat his friend out, so the fighter says: “From the Online Websites”…
