Tickets for UFC 78: “Validation” at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., on November 17 go on sale tomorrow, September 29 at noon ET for the general public, according to UFC.com.

The Web site indicates that Fight Club members and newsletter subscribers have already had their early chances at tickets this week through exclusive presales.
We did not learn about the sale until today — apologies for not passing the news along sooner.
UFC 78 features a solid undercard with a welterweight bout between Karo Parisyan and Octagon newcomer, Hector Lombard. Frank Edgar and Spencer Fisher are also expected to clash in a lightweight showdown.

There is some recent speculation as to the main event of the evening. Tito Ortiz and Rashad Evans were expected to rematch; however, TAGG Radio issued a report that “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” would take on Dan Henderson.
Based on the title of the show, “Validation,” it would appear that the intention is to settle the score between Ortiz and Evans, who fought to an unceremonious draw at UFC 73: “Respect” in July.
Then again, that’s all speculation. At this point let’s wait to hear official word from the UFC, which should be coming very soon.

I find it funny how Dana says these little internet sites are worthless but at the same time the UFC is trying to sell me $750 tickets to an event when UFC.com is only showing 3 fights for UFC 77.
I am apart of the UFC Fight Club, and I never saw anything for presale of UFC 78. Thank god I dont live near Newark.

tickets don’t go on sale tomorrow…they go on-sale for fight club members starting october 2nd…there was a mistake on the website and on the ppv broadcast and that was announced on the fight club forums…you should probably take down this article

Mr. Nc-17: My point was that these internet sites give us a heads up on the whole fight card before UFC.com so we can figure out how good of tickets we want to get depending on the card.
I don’t think to many people really want to see a rematch with Tito and Rashad. Tito needs to fight Forrest again, that would be a hell of a fight.
Oh WOW! Tito vs. Dan. Woot! Woot! I’m so happy; I was so NOT looking forward to the Tito vs. Rashad rematch. Their first fight was awful and a rematch is unnecessary(Tito won the fight), but Dan and Hendo - that’s awesome!
Heh the main event of UFC 78 is the match that was 3 places from the top at 73, oh and it was boring.

Tickets will not be going on sale this weekend. The UFC Fight Club has not had their pre-sale yet so those onsale dates are wrong.

i live about an hour away and dont even want to go see this card… it looks like crap except for maybe karo… i think i’m gonna wait to see GSP in montreal if he happens to be on that card.. i hope serra comes out injury free in dec and fights gsp in early 08.
This sucks. I live in NYC and here comes the first event near us… and it’s entirely mediocre, especially when you compare it to 77 and 79.
I’m not to impressed with this card, I dont see any top 5 contenders in this event, well if Dan gets on he will be the only one.
In my opinion Karo should be fighting Kos, no disrespect to Hector, but Judo matches are not the most exciting to watch and Karo should be fighting some contenders.
Its a let down compared to the fight cards we have had,
there’s a posibility that the BJ vs Sherk/Joe Stevenson could end up on this card.

the ufc website sucks, every other mma site has the matches for each event before the ufc announces them, they have bad customer service on the phone as well as contact info if you need info on something. i am a fight club member only because i would like to get pre sale tickets for general public gets them but when it comes to pre sale items like dvd’s and stuff you could pay months in advance for them but when they are ready to be shipped out you always get a back order on the item why put shipped out or available on a item when the ufc site knows it is already back ordered, they just wanna take your money. don’t care about the fans or members of their site. i love ufcmania as well as ufcjunkie.com i tell all my friends about the sites, you guys are great have all latest info, message board, you guys rock!!!

Both good wrestlers Tito has improved his striking but Dan still has better hands. Tito has to take a step down in competiton and build back up. Dan is either gonna KO Tito if this fight happens or its gonna be a long 3 rd wrestling match. Down the line it should be Hendo vs Griffen then Ortiz vs Rua well somewhere down the line. Im shure Rashad mixes in there somewhere like Evans vs Jardine. The Division is all screwed up because they do put names before actual recorded wins. so some fighters get to skip a rung because of there star potential.

I’ve been dying to go to a live event, so when they announced they were putting on a show in Jersey, I was like…I’m there and am even flying in my bro from Houston, now this card looks like shit….and I’m not to sure I want to drop a couple grand or put it in the bank and wait for a event actually worth paying that much moola for, damn it, this sucks. The UFC needs to focus on Quality not Quanity, this makes me real mad.
Tito vs Hendo would be a great additon…..I don’t know about the rest of you but even though tito’s last fight was a tie, I consider it a win…..much rather see him go with Hendo to see where he really stands.
Anyone ever see that wrestling match where Tito and Matt Hughes were rolling….Tito won…but had a big weight advantage….which makes me think that Hendo will be able to out wrestle Tito….Hope we get to see and find out!

i prefer this sort of set up, some real good fights there!! Where does rampage fight tho? Winner of silva v griffen? That would scupper chances of liddell v silva AGAIN if both were to win! This division is too damn strong haha, should have a tourny over a year or so that would be entertaining!! Then that way it would not be one fight and binned, each figher fights 4/5 times in a points system. Then semi final/final from there!! Not realistic but would be fun eh?
Out of all the fights mentioned on the card so far, I look forward to Frankie Edgar and Fisher the most. Frankie is quicky becoming one of my favorites.

Thanks White Rhino! UFC 78 has turned into a chaotic mess. Not even the UFC has thier facts straight. I haven’t read all the comments yet, still catching up from the weekend…

HOWEVER, until I find out what the main event is, and its 100% final, then I’ll make my decision. I am very, very dissapointed with every aspect of UFC 78. I have worked for 2 different ticket brokers in the past, and believe me - I know how to get me tickets when they go on sale thru ticketmaster. I was getting soooooooooo angry this past saturday morning, all the while I was on a limo/party bus and outside of the reception hall for by bro-in-law’s wedding. Beer in one had, cell phone in the other…. stressful, stressfull, stressfull
So Tito/DAn is just a rumor right? A rumor that got ruled out today. If there goingto do this rematch between Tito/Rashad. They mind as well get it over with.
They could also bumb back Tito to fight Wandy at New years event
