Demian Maia should crush Jensen. I trained with Maia while he was in town fighting the GFC against Stout (which he won in the 1st round). He is an AMAZING Jiu Jitsu fighter as well as his stand-up abilities. He will no doubt be the underdog in this fight as it is his debut into the UFC.

I cant wait to see this fight. I hope it's Televised
Demian Maia is good. Really good. He won his lastfight by a TKO from a Sweep. He dislocated his opponents arm on a reversal. FUKN Sick.

Can any one tell me who those dudes have fought and when?
I don't mean to sound sarcastic, but this is the internet, and there is this site called Google that allows you to search for anything. Wikipedia has almost every fighters record on there, or at least a link to it. Otherwise, Sherdog is unfortunately your best bet.
I was thinking the same thing Mike. Marvin Eastman is good, but he is a boring fighter... Hopefully when he does debut at 185 he is a hugh monster and has the fire to finish his opponent.
Good matchup.

Is anyone else starting to think that the undercards are more interesting than the non-main event fights?

I would have much rather watched Cummo than Machida on that last PPV. Machida is a much better fighter, but I don't really want to see a great fighter, I want to see a fight.
Well I dont think if anybody knows what the undercard is after th Vera/Slyvia fight. It could be Jorge and Alvin, it could be Stephan Bonnar, I have no clue.

I hope it is Jorge and Stephan, but who knows at this point.

I remember the announcers hugging Jensen's nuts during his fight against Thales, where he was very easily submitted in the first round. Thales didn't even break a sweat. Since that fight, I have heard a lot of people saying that Jensen looked great. I personally thought that he didn't. I thought he looked very sloppy standing up. He obviously didn't do too good on the ground seeing that he got submitted once the fight was taken there. Rogan said that his high kicks looked 'phenominal' or some other gay word from the 'Rogan Book of Adjectives'. I thought his high kicks looked goofy and sloppy rolled into one.

Looking at his record, there are only 2 names that I recognize, prior to him fighting in the UFC. Brock Larson and Marlon Sims. LOL, Marlon Sims. You all remember him from last season of TUF. It's too bad Marlon didn't fight Ryan in a street fight. But, since the fight took place in a cage, Marlon was submitted in about 2 minutes. Then there's Brock Larson, who suffered his first defeat at the hands of Jon Fitch, and that fight took place in the UFC about 2 years ago. Also, recently, Carlos Condit submitted Larson to defend his WEC WW belt. But, when Jensen and Larson locked horns, Jensen was man handled and lost by submission due to strikes in a minute and half of the first round.

I heard Nakamura is appealing the CSAC drug suspension for UFC 76.

..I think Machida is a highly skilled fighter..not great. I agree with you in wanting to see a great fight..I think great fights make great fighters..if I haven't seen a fighter challenged, in a war, down and out..and come back with a submission or KO..stuff like that..I tired of seeing sparring..bouncing around..jab jab clinch..I want to see Wandi, BJ Penn, Fedor, Page, Carlos Condit, Faber, Edgar, Fisher, Fitch, GSP, Anderson Silva, Shogun, Forrest,Pete Sell,Nate Quarry, Vera..the fighter's that come and want to fight..win or lose..let it all hang out..I think in fighting..you can't hide who you are. A fight shows who you really are.
