yeah what a waste of time, smoking pot will help you be slower and less sharp fighting wise. Its completely laughable to think its gonna give a fighter any edge. The only arguement I can possibly agree with, is that because this guy got high, the fans were cheated out of seeing this guy fight at his best. 3 monthes is a joke suspension anyways, I’m of the opinion that they should only test athletes for performance enhancing drugs, unless they are trying to prevent burn outs from fighting( tons of these fighters do much worse drugs than pot, ie steroids cocaines etc…etc…), but this guy most likely just took some puffs after training to relax, so rock with your bad self sucker, you’ll have three monthes to get high while your suspended.

I have recently acquired a fractured skull, broken nose and cheek (result of a sucker punch or elbow not sure). I’ve been smoking pot daily for the last 6yrs for epilepsy, and I have to take morphine and Codeine for my pain. THC is not a pain killer it’s just natural relaxant if anything it would slow down reaction time, make the fighter gas faster, bad judgment, and lessen the fighter’s accuracy and his will to fight.

It’s a waste of time and money to test for marijuana

Steroids and weed are far, FAR different substances. Steroids are performance enhancers, while pot is not.

I don’t think you should be punished at all for weed. Then again, I don’t think it should be illegal. The fact that alcohol (far more dangerous substance) is legal, while pot isn’t, baffles me. I think it’s a case of idiots who remember the DARE commercials with the older kids handing out free joints in back alleys, and think it is something evil. The fact is it isn’t evil, it isn’t a gateway drug, and it is NOT a performance enhancer. The only performance weed enhances is your dominoes cinastick eating performance
