Chuck dominated for years against some of the best, and some of them great clinchers and wrestlers, none of them lived with liddell. Every guy loses one or two, i think we are forgetting the nature of the defeats, if chuck kicks back in to jardine, jardine is in serious bother. Let them fight again, liddell will have him!!!

I don’t know about that. To me it just seemed like Shogun just wasn’t himself at all. I think Forrest would have beaten him no matter what that night, even if the fight took place in the Chute Box parking lot in Brazil.

The reason why PRIDE fighter are losing is because they have to switch to the cage from a ring and the rules are different. I bet that if Forrest would have fought Shogun in the ring, Shogun would have destroyed him, and Jardine would have got his ass beat too if he went to PRIDE.

Jardine put up an excellent fight and against Chuck and really showed of Chucks weakneses as a striker. I really felt sorry for Jardine for the amount of boos he was getting from the crowd after he won. The guy gave it his all, and really desreved to win that fight. I don’t understand the mentality of some people. I have my favourite fighters, but if they got beaten fair and square buy a better opponent on the day, and especially after a fight like that, I would really give the guy a good round of applause for his efforts. I really find that disgusting. I mean to beat one of the bestin the world and end up battred and bloody and then get booed by the crowd is just wrong.

Anyone agree that 3 rounds just isn’t enough……i know that you need an odd number of rounds, but man..

My friends were talking about the same thing. He took the 3 round like he had plenty of time. I do not know if that mind set of fighting 4 and 5 rounds is automatic, but hell I can not believe he laid back so much.

Regarding this division, I don’t know how you can say that, when a pride guy has the belt.
But I do know what your saying, it is suprising that the likes of CC and Shogun did so terribly. I guess some just don’t acclimate to the change as well as others.

I think that the reason some of these fighters have not done so well is because the competition level in pride was not good. 5% of the fighters in pride were world class and the rest sucked. They often fought nobodies, and that is how they built up their record. I think that most everyone in the ufc is very well rounded and that when fighters such as crocop and shogun learned who their opponents were, they thought it would be as easy as a pride tune up fight. Wrong!
