I would agree. I’ve always been a big Frank Mir fan, he was the big dog around in the UFC when I got into mma. I felt so bad for him after the accident and when he made his come back completely out of shape.

Hopefully we’ll see the good old Frank Mir again. If he does come back to his best again (he’s only 28) I hope he also gets a rematch with Vera because as good as Brandon is I don’t think he could beat the real Frank.[/quote]
I agree with this. Mir is my favorite fighter and when I saw him fight after the accident I knew he was not in shape , second time he fought the same thing. He was out shape again. He looked great when he defeated Anthony Hardoc and this IS the Frank Mir we want to see.

I believe Frank is not mentally ready to fight this guy now. He will another fight and then fight an opponent like this one. Frank Mir is my favorite fighter and I cant wait for him to come and break more arms. Like he did to Tim.

This is like a death sentance for Mir… I guess they are trying to run his contract out and move him over to permentant WEC commentating?

Dont get me wrong, I really LOVE Mir (bromancing man-crush) but unless he is 100% on his game… not much of a shot winning this fight.

completely agree,,, Nog does not impress me except for his exceptional ability to take a punch. His BJJ is also very highly reguarded but frank is also a black belt

Does anyone actually care about this bout!Mir is done and Nog looked old and tired against Hearing plus hes an asshole, I read and interview and all he did was talk crap about Fedor as if he could actually beat him!He is alot tougher in is own mind than inside the octagon.Really Couture should fight Fedor otherwise hes just fightin second tier opponents and even Randy knows this.

No doubt about it. Old Mir would win this fight. On paper this fight can go either way because they are both deadly on the ground. I will be rooting for Mir
