Hey no matter what happens i like both of them its just to bad one has to lose.my pick rampage late 3rd round
I hope Henderson knocks rampage off the thrown- he has the skills.
That has to be one of the ugliest Tshirts I have ever seen.
This guy is going to knock Rampage into next year. I still want to see a rematch between Chuck & Rampage in 2008. Anyone else feel the same? How bout Chuck vs Shogun?
i like both, i think dan is more dominant fighter but i saw rampage training is different than before so he might do some new stuff that dan never thought he would do, he could even pull a suprise on him.

LOL… And super LOL
I want too see Hendo smash Rampage then fight Anderson Silva at 185 for the fight of the century!!
This will be a great fight.. Im rootin for Rampage.

No that sounds like unifying the titles which is what has to happen if Dana wants to do away with PRIDE
Plenty of fighters r protected.
Bisping
Huerta are just 2 prime examples
Dan n Rampage r 2 of my favorite fighters…. This will be a tough fight for both of them…. Rampage 3 rd TKO
Heurta and Bisping are not protected, what Dana is doing is making sure there are not too many top fighters squaring off at the same time. The two fighters you mentioned are in the most explosive divisions of the UFC. What Dana is doing is making sure he has a whole range of great fights he can put together at any moment.
For example when Fisher couldn’t fight against Florian, another possibly even better fight was put together (Florian Vs Din Thomas). He is pacing each division. A single UFC event could answer a lot of questions people have in just 8 matches. Many people on this blog could put together a fantasy UFC event consisting of 8 spectacular matches that answers most people’s questions.
However Dana is a business man and understands what keeps people riveted and glued to their screens are the “what if’s” if all the matches we wanted to happen happened a lot of the UFC’s divisions would go through another dry spell lasting months or years were pre-mature fighters are hurdled into title shots.
The more “what if’s” the more exciting the division, at one point (after Liddell beat Babalu) the LHW division had no “what if’s” , (Ortiz was never a what if for me I knew the outcome), luckily talent was imported and home grown talent is being nutured. Look at the middle weight division it is two fights away (Silva Vs Franklin/Henderson) from having no “what if’s” and becoming a stale division.

Holy S%$#, I am getting sick and tired of the Bisping hate. Is it merely because the guy’s English accent sounds different?
If the guy “sucks” like so many people insist, how is he being protected? You can’t have it both ways.
Either he sucks and fights sucky people, or he’s good and makes others look bad. He is not being “protected.” He is working his way up the rankings like any other fighter. Geez.
BTW, I happen to think he is a great fighter with a lot of potential. And I’m not going to hate on someone just ’cause they have an accent.
I love your explanation, Holdin Ropes, and I completely agree. With each passing fight, fans (the ones who aren’t high-and-mighty and know-it-alls, that is) become more and more excited about guys like Bisbing and Huerta and wonder how far they can go. Why throw them to the wolves early? If Bisbing and Huerta really are protected and look stronger than they are as a result, we’ll find out soon enough.

What’s the point? Flash KO or not, Rampage has won two out of three already. You can argue the 2nd fight until you’re blue in the face but Page’s 1st victory was so decisive that when you couple that with the 2nd fight a 3rd bout becomes pointless. If Page keeps the belt then no rematch for Chuck unless he gets past Jardine & then Wand.
When I think of a protected fighter, I think of a champion that is given nothing but significantly lower ranked fighters.
Bisping is a young, exciting fighter just starting to work his way up the ladder. However, because he’s very popular and well-known, people are upset that he’s not getting fights against contenders, and as such, that he is being protected.
Sure, putting Bisping on the main card is preferential treatment, but it’s the way it goes. Popularity counts for a lot. However, the opponents he’s facing are the same guys he’d fight as an unknown 3-0 undercard fighter. In fact, his next opponent IS a 3-0 undercard fighter.
He’s not protected, just over-exposed.
nobody wants to see Dan Hendo against Anderson Silva at 185??

There is no logic in anything you just said

I’m laughing because that looks like something I’d wear, haha!
Anyone who’s kept up with Pride over the years knows both of these guys are animals, Dan ALWAYS brings it, I’ve never seen him in a fight where he hasn’t been tough, even in a loss. Same with Rampage. Should be a war, I’m honestly torn over who to pick. My heart’s with Dan because he’s a wrestler, but as far as logically I can’t choose. This one’s a toss up.
That is an ugly shirt, holdin ropes makes sense, DH absolutely fights Silva win or lose vs Rampage and if chuck wins vs Dean and his next fight (Wanderlei ?)he’ll get Rampage again if he’s still the champ.
PS Shouldn’t GSP have gotten Hughes again and the winner of that fight moved on to Serra?
I want too see Hendo smash Rampage then fight Anderson Silva at 185 for the fight of the century!!
Fight of the Century would be Hendo Vs Wanderlei Silva, two hard as F*** mo fo’s who bang like the A-BOMB!!
I think a lot of you guys are jumping the gun on who Henderson will fight next. He is very stern in the fact he isnt looking passed Rampage, along with the fact he doesnt wanna cut weight anymore… Guy isnt exactly Young, and with two kids, Im sure he is looking from the outside in.
Any more Fedor news?

Its not hate … Im a huge Bisping fan as I have said many times. But he gets bullshit opponents. But I dont Blame him, I blame Dana. How am I wrong when Bisping argued himself about the quality of opponents Dana is giving him. Bisping is ready now, he wont get any better until he starts facing tougfher competition. Bisping doesnt have to beat a bunch of tough competitors. But he must fight them, and fight them tough, learn something from every fight. When he gains that kind of experience he will take his game to the next level. Im not mad at Bisping, I think Dana is stunting his growth as a fighter, and I t hink that sometimes Bisping thinks that too (argued that Hamil was a step down from him.
Bisping has soooooo much potential, I dont wanna c Dana ruin it for him. The kid has got heart, he’s prolly more pissed off than any of us about the quality of his opponents.
Dana: Set that Man free, please!

Chuck and Rampage would be like watching Chuck and Babalu- if a person gets their ass kicked the first two times the third time will be much of the same kind of asskicking. Rampage has Chucks number. Chuck would have to defeat Silva, Henderson, and Shogun to live up to his hype.
I’m really excited about seeing this fight. I never saw any of Pride’s fights, except for a few matches on YouTube. I know that Rampage is a beast and hard to TO, after seeing him take all those knees from Shogun. I’ve never seen Henderson fight but to have two belts is ridiculous. I can’t wait to see what happens! I’d like to see Henderson win and then fight the MW champ and get that belt to!

Hendersons got a nast right hand (usually overhand), and Phenomanal wrestling, and one of the best ground n pounds in the game (way better than tito’s). Hendo is relentless, and always well conditioned. Trust me you will like Henderson a lot.
The question of that fight is:
Can Rampage’s world class takedown defense stuff Hendo’s world class takedowns?
This is gonna b one of the hardest fights ever to predict in my eyes. Although Hendo is deceptively strong, Rampages supperior strength might b the difference in this fight. I dont wanna make a prediction but if I had to I would say Rampage wins but not until at least the 3rd round

Ummmm, you do know that they have already fought each other TWICE!
After watching the video, did anyone click on that link about Brock Lesnar. It is:
http://msn.foxsports.com/boxing/story/7163984
The moron writing the article says the best thing they can do with Lesnar is before fighting, have him be a coach on the next TUF, and have Heath Herring or Frank Mir.
That has to the worst idea ever. Brock has NO MMA experience, so what can he teach up and coming fighters that can probably beat his ass. All he can teach them is how to complete a roid cycle without getting detected and how to cut a WWE promo interview.
What a joke. That writer should never be allowed to write about MMA again!

REALLY GriffinFan, I though you had said that you saw Dan Henderson KO Wandi to win the PRIDE 205 belt. RIght?
If Hendo and Rampage were the same exact size, Hendo would win the fight, no doubt about it in my mind. The size advantage is all that will come into play, but Dan is plenty used to fighting against bigger guys - and he enjoys it!
They both have devastating KO power, granite chins, as big of a heart as you can have as a fighter, and phenominal wrestling. What else can you hope for in a MMA fight!

But I can name you a much uglier T-Shirt that I have seen recently. I believe it was a plain white T with a mug shot of someone by the name of Babalu

Yes he did but let’s not forget that they both beat him 1st. The rematch against either is where he notched those wins & they were both tough contests that could have gone either way.
It’s a known fact that Dan has trouble with bigger opponents, I’m gonna reference his fight agains Ricardo Arona as an example since it’s available on You Tube. That way it’s easier for people to find if they want to see it themselves.

Oops, made a mistake, Dan won the 1st fight against Nog & lost the next 2 rematches against him.
