Frank trigg Any Given Saturday
Once again — in concert with our partner in crime, Luke Thomas, from BloodyElbow.com — we’re back TOMORROW evening with our pre- and post-fight online UFC radio program, “Any Given Saturday,” for UFC 74: “Respect.”

Former UFC welterweight contender, ICON middleweight champion and all-around good guy, Frank Trigg, will join the pre-fight show this weekend to breakdown the entire UFC 74 card from top to bottom with “Any Given Saturday” celebrity host, Jeff Hamlin.

Hamlin — who hosts “Cover 2 Sports” out of WCHL 1360 in Chapel Hill, N.C. — will fill-in for the regular voice of the program (Thomas) while he fulfills some pansy obligations this Saturday.

The best part about this show (aside from it being the only online radio program on the Web dedicated to UFC 74) is that it’s live and we take your calls. Yep, call-in and get your 15 seconds of fame — this is going to be a great program.

In short, there’s nothing like “Any Given Saturday” out there right now, and it is a great and FREE way to discuss all the action with Frank Trigg and our competent host, Jeff.

So if you’ve got something to say, or just want to listen to some knowledgable people talk about UFC 74, here’s what you need to do:

VISIT: “Any Given Saturday” this Saturday, August 25 (http://www.blogtalkradio.com/anygivensaturday)

WHEN: From 9 - 10 p.m. ET and immediately following the PPV broadcast

CALL: (646) 478-5091

Don’t miss this show! Talk to you on Saturday.

Has anyone here listened to the Any Given Saturday show? I haven’t but it would probably be better to have that playing in the background from 9 - 10 instead of having the PPV channel on and hearing the same 2 promo’s and 3 interviews over and over and over again…

LOL, Mania, I know that you listened to it before, I was wondering if anyone else has….

But I totally got what you’re saying. I would give it a listen for sure, but the room I watch the PPV on doesnt have a computer. I always have people over for the PPV’s, and would hate to have to have 8 dudes crammed into a tiny little computer room at my house…. I prefer to be in the big living room, so we can all have our space…

Did Trigg quit fighting because he can’t be Hughes…or maybe even GSP for that matter? I like how on the pride show he always brings himself in, saying when I did this…or this happend to me one time….TOOL BOX

Then call in and ask him why he’s so self-referencing.

Wow! Short memories here, folks. Trigg is very knowledgeable when it comes to MMA, in addition to being a very accomplished fighter. Cut the guy some slack.

I agree 110%. You all are allowed to show respect to more than 15 fighters at any given time…

I’ll listen to it, just to see what it’s like. And to listen to Frank Trigg’s obviousness/insight on the fights.

You guys should do live commentary during the fights (assuming you are watching it on PPV and not attending).

When I was in Junior High ( middle school if you don’t know what Jr High is) Trigg was the wrestling coach for an off season team that I practiced with. He was kind of a jerk, but extremely helpful as far as correcting technical flaws in my wrestling game. overall he was a pretty good coach.

I wonder if Trigg has learned to defend against a rear naked choke yet?

GSP made him look so silly!

GSP made sherk look silly

GSP dominated matt hughes untill he made a mental mistake and overcommited to a kimura that matt countered to on arm bar

GSP made matt hughes look silly.

GSP makes fighters who r primarily wrestlers look silly!
Trigg, Sherk, Hughes, none of them couldnt take him down and I dont c Koschek taking him down tomorrow.

Im not ot fond of Canada, but u gotta love GSP

Trigg is ok with me. He is knowledgeable and skilled. Just because the guy couldn’t beat the TOP 2 WELTERWEIGHTS IN THE WORLD, some people forget even Randy Couture wrestled with him on the RAW TEAM. (i think this may be incorrect now that I’m thinking about it)-somebody help me out.

Trigg once beat a guy and then flicked him off. I have the same level of respect for Trigg as he showed his opponent–none.
