Hendo might have a better chance than most think. For the record, Hendo and Rampage aren’t complete strangers. They have trained together before. I say Hendo wins by sub in the second round.
How can someone not enjoy Rampage? He is the 2nd best spokesperson for MMA in my opinion, next to Randy.
A lot of people are underestimating Dan Henderson because they haven’t seen many of his fights, and because if his size. But he has fought against larger opponents for a long time, so this will be nothing new to him. He WILL be able to hold his own. Henderson will not be getting dropped at Chuck Liddell speed, mark my words on that. My man Dan can take a punch! But Rampage can throw a punch as well. This is why I CAN’T WAIT FOR SEPTEMBER EIGHT!
Rampage will send Hendo back to Middleweight. I don’t understand why so many people feel Hendo is going to beat Jackson. I feel if Hendo fought Wanderlei Silva again; Hendo will lose because Silva didn’t look like himself this past February when he lost his belt to Hendo. After Hendo is knocked out; he will realize he is a Middleweight. Then we will be able to see our dream fights of Silva vs. Hendo, as well as Hendo vs. Franklin.
My question is what are the pride belts?? After the fact..whoever wins ur..da UFC LWH Champ..Pride WW and MW Champ…so will there be a pride event that the UFC belt will be on the line as well..in a ring??..basically if there is nomore pride..what are the belts for??
Rampage is gonna win. 2nd round knock out.. and then whos next ? chuck or Wanderlei ??
If Shogun beats Forest, he gets the next title fight. Dana said so about 10 different times. The winner of Liddell vs Silva will probably get the next one after that.
My question is what are the pride belts?? After the fact..whoever wins ur..da UFC LWH Champ..Pride WW and MW Champ…so will there be a pride event that the UFC belt will be on the line as well..in a ring??..basically if there is nomore pride..what are the belts for??
They’re not good for for anything. That’s why Zuffa is unifying the Pride and UFC belts into a single UFC belt

I can tell you 100% Rampage is gonna smash Dan Henderson to peices on Sept 8th and I am gonna be there to see it,then hes gonna get revenge on Shogun and Wandy,I all ready thought those two were gonna have trouble in the octagon but with Pages trainer saying they were on roids(and I believe him)they are gonna have one big nasty shock when they get into the big fights.
I like Rampage and hes helping out our UK guy so Im sure all the UK fans are gonna be cheering Rampage, with his personality and that he could get a huge fan base over here once people get to know who he is,and there is no better place for that then the o2 arena.
Spokesperson?? What are you talking about?? He won against Chuck and now he is the MMA spokesperson?? I think he is a good fighter. Don’t get me wrong. Look at his record. He hasn’t dominated in his weight class even in Pride. If he can beat Hendo and avenge his loss to Shogun. Then you can add him to the higher class of fighters. But until then he won the title on a sloppy scared Chuck Liddell.
Hendo really shouldn’t be fighting at 205 anymore than Wandy should be fighting the 220 and above. Can Hendo give a good showing, absolutely! Can he win, its possible, but I would rather see LHW’s fight true LHW’s and so forth. Fighters just look more crisp when they are fighting at their home weight. I would rather see Dan fight A Silva, Franklin, Okamni, and so on. I want to see Wandy, Liddell, Shogun, Rampage, Houston Alexander, and Griffin fight to sort out their division and Then once the dust has settled bring in somebody willing to move up or down if you have to.
I would love this fight to be a 5 rd War that goes to decision. Knockouts r great but when to fighters come to bang(which I suspect they will) sometimes a decision of 25 exciting minutes could be better then a knockout.
Hendo great fighter, who will cause a lot of tough fighters HELL.
However, Rampage will walk away the Undisputed LHW champion of the world
By uniting the belts it makes it easier to close out Pride. There are no question marks about who would’ve been champ if. They fight, it’s unified and that’s it. That may be a really big reason for getting Fedor (other than having another awesome fighter) the opportunity to unite the belts.
I think it’s cool that we are getting two Pride guys fighting for the belts in the Octagon. No questions after this fight.

“Look at his record”? Yes, let’s look at his 27 win 6 loss record. Now, lets compare that to the other top 205ers:
Chuck: 20-4
Tito: 15-5
Wand: 31-7
Shogun: 13-1 (the coleman loss was a fluke so I wont count it)
Hendo: 22-5
I really don’t see your point in bringing up his record to bolster your claim.
Whether or not he can defeat Hendo or avenge his loss to Shogun has no bearing on the fact that he is a top 5 205er. Rampage earned his spot by finishing fights with decisive victories & putting on one helluva show in defeat.
You have a right to disagree but public & professional opinion clearly indicates a decidedly different idea. I’d rather you simply state your personal opinion and say that you dont care for him and leave it at that. Unfortunately, you chose to be a hater instead & that’s unfortunate.

You tell the uninformed doubters alpha, you tell them!!!
Listen for all of u who say he has no chance of beating shogun or wanderlei I disagree. When those fights took place, Rampage was a completely different fighter. He had no discipline back then, conditioning was weak. Since he has been wit Juanito, he has looked sharp. We didnt really get to c him vs. Chuck cuz it went so fast. But that night he looked extra shredded, his face was leaner then ever.
Rampage will improve with every fight as long as juanito is in his corner. Shogun, and wanderlei will be tough fights for him, but I expect him to do much better then he did in his previous fights against tyhose two.
Rampage n Henderson r both absolute animals! I hope this fight lasts at least 3 or 4 rounds. This fight has the potential to go down in history as one of the greatest fights ever.
If I had to choose the winner, I would go with Rampage. His takedown defense is on Liddell’s level if not better. If he can stuff Hendo’s take downs, and stay away from Hendo’s right hand (primarily the over hand right) I think he will be the 1st Unified Champ in MMA history.

That is my personal opinion. I like Rampage. Even though he is dumb as a post. He is a very taleted fighter. I said since he has won everybody is on the Rampage bandwagon.
Look at the class of fighters he has beaten and look at the class the Liddell has beaten. Liddell is scared of him. You can see it. I was shocked to see him get KTFO. But it happened. Chuck has beaten proven veterans and Rampage has lost to those type of fighters. He loses to Silva and Shogun but avenges his loss to Eastman. And lets look at Liddell’s wins - Tito, RC, Soboral, Horn And even Vernon White.

Pat, thanks for clearing up my statement for Damon.
Although, I would say that Rampage is damn NEAR the top of the MMA world right now. Who can argue? He KO’d the INVICIBLE Chuck Liddell, twice. Yes, he lost to Shogun and Wandi a combined 3 times. But he is such a more well trained, more well roudned, crisper striker, and well conditioned than he was back then. He was not training with top talent MMA fighters when he was in PRIDE. Seriously, who was his number 1 training partner then, Hector Sick Dog Ramirez? And now he gets to go cross county to train with all of the top talent start in the world of MMA. Going from Sick Dog to ‘The Natural’ as training partners is going to make you a MUCH better fighter, and it certainly has for Rampage.
I do agree he is one of the top fighters. I just can’t give him that till he avenges all of his losses like Chuck did.
You are right on the fact he trained with a bunch of bums. I am glad to see that change. So we can actually see how good he can get or if he is just Chucks krytonite. Henderson is going to be a great match up though. I can’t wait.
e very one always brings up randy or chuck or the spider or matt or gsp as being the best.why dont thay bring up feder henderson or shougun before these other clowns
I would like to see Vera (whenever the time comes) take on Rampage as a first 205 bout. Which is obviously situational with either possibly holding a title and the other not.
But according to Vera he does plan on moving eventually.
I just think there both rude boyz that would probably give everyone something worthwhile for my $40. Good on the mic, it would be smack talk of gigantic proportions.
Two good fights that you’ll never see…..
Rampage v. Kurt Angle (everyones gonna laugh i know, but just imagine being in a Bar/Club/Casino/Denny’s Parking lot and these two get into battle on the street. Plus Angles got the three I’s. I guess after thinking about it, this is more of a youtube fight. Ratings though.
Vera v. Heath Herring …. just a great match up.
lots of kicks, elbows and you know someones taking a nap.
We could seriously see this one… Props to heath for taking Nog out… well not quite.
he mite b right him an dan are both exciting fighters and i cant wqit till it happens. first post holla.
Rampage is going to beat Dan Henderson on September 8th.
i think rampage will win…. but it would be sweet to hold three belts….

You tell the uninformed doubters alpha, you tell them!!!

I noticed it looked a little like ‘uniformed’…

Rampage is gonna win. 2nd round knock out.. and then whos next ? chuck or Wanderlei ??
I think UFC 75 Looks to be the best out of 74,75,76,77 or fightnightlive.. The month of september is looking really nice. I cant wait.
..After the Aug 25th..2 weeks later sept 8…then 2 weeks after that sept 22..now that is what I’m talking about.
Phil, we will also get a fightnight live in betweein pay per views. This is easily the most exciting 6 week period in UFC history.
By the way Rampage wins.
Next in line will b Shogun!
The winner of this fight will be the fans.
He wasn’t saying Rampage is the best fighter, he’s saying he’s one of the best guys to market the sport, and there’s no arguing that. He’s an exciting fighter win or lose, and he’s great on the mic.

and HENDO…(sub in the 2nd round) HOLLALULLIA HOLLA BACK!!!!!!!!

Spokesperson?? What are you talking about?? He won against Chuck and now he is the MMA spokesperson?? I think he is a good fighter. Don’t get me wrong.
Research any MMA website, magazine, blog or opinion poll and you will find evidence to back my claim. Just because he’s not your favorite doesnt disqualify him or any other fighter from their current ranking.
I’d rather you simply state your personal opinion and say that you dont care for him and leave it at that. Unfortunately, you chose to be a hater instead & that’s unfortunate.
Both are good fighters. Obviously……
HELL yeah!!!!!!!!

Hendo should win.. sorry rampage.

Damon, Chuck did NOT avenge all of his losses. Did you ever hear of a man name Rampage?
* man NAMED Rampage
I like the part that he comments about the boxing.. “nobody ever died in my sport”
word.
