"Bisbing leaves himself way too open to be a threat to the title. If he can get floored by Ross Pointon, Josh Haynes, and Elvis Sinosec, an elite fighter would finish him. Silva, Shogun, Chuck, or any other top fighter for that matter wouldn't let him recover.

And what leads you to believe Shogun is coming into the ufc way overconfident? Just making things up are we? Even if Shogun did come in overconfident, Forrest does not possess the tools to take him out. Forrest was outstruck by Tito of all people, so I don't see Shogun having any trouble with him, on the feet or on the mat. And if he does get caught, Forrest doesn't have the KO power to put him away.
"

I did not see Ross Pointon or Josh Haynes put Bisping in any type of real trouble,Elvis did for a second but then Bisping showed his quick recovery and escape skills and quickly put the fight back in his favour and finished it,and give Bisping his credit, get rid of that Brit hate for a moment and look at his record and his skill, hes finished everyone hes fought, every single fight has been exciting, and in that fight in Manchester he was under enormous pressure fighting infront of his home crowd,he has the potential to beat anyone when he gains some more expierience.

Il tell you how Forrest can win,by frustrating Shogun and just outpointing him and keeping the fight standing,Shogun cant possibly be taking this fight seriously as though Forrest is a threat, that is what makes me think he is over confident, also on his profile on the UFC site he looks like he belives he is a god,the look on his face,he needs to get over himself coz now he cant use those stomps and soccer kicks he has lost a huge part of his game and that all ready means he is only about half as good as he used to be.
I showed my brother a Shogun highlight vid the other day and he said straight away that this guy is not gonna do well in the UFC.Imagine if Chuck had of been able to use stomps and soccer kicks on his second fight with Tito or his 2nd fight with horn or even against Vernon White,Im sure there would be some crazy highlights there. The point is head stomps and soccer kicks are a dirty move which take no skill,if you live in a country where soccer is your national sport you tend to get pretty good at kicking people in the head while they are on the ground.I see some wicked head stomps and soccer kicks nearly every time I go to a club over here and it just does not impress me one bit.

I truly belive a fight between Bisping and Shogun(because of their styles)could very well be the best fight in human history,it would be crazy! it could go either way but my God that would be a hell of a fight to watch, and inevitably one day it will happen.
HL vids are just that....High Lights. It's basically a summary. HL's are meant to familiarize the unfamiliar & glorify the starring fighter. No one can claim to have a firm grasp on a fighters abilities by watching HL's alone. It's like reading the cliff notes on MacBeth & trying to intelligently discuss it with a scholar.

Someone else already posted this earlier but quite a few of you obviously havent read it. Shogun has already competed twice in the States where the stomps & soccer kicks were banned. He won both of those fights just as impressively without the soccer kicks & stomps. Mark my words.....Shogun will continue to dominate. The only concern I have is how will he handle elbows from the guard?

Here's a little MMAth for you:

Matt Serra defeated Ivan Menjivar who defeated Joe Lauzon who defeated Jens Pulver who defeated BJ Penn who defeated Matt Hughes.

So this is in the bag for Matt Serra right? haha

When I get bored at work I just look through fighters records. I stumbled upon Ivan Menjivar's win over Joe Lauzon and had to jump on the opportunity to use some MMAth for you guys.
Penn has fought outside of his weight class too so you could probably chain the MMAth waaaay out there:

Penn beat Renzo Gracie who beat Frank Shamrock who beat Tito Ortiz who beat Wanderlei Silva who beat Fujita who beat Bob Sapp.

So Matt Serra beat 375-lb Bob Sapp.
HAHAHAHAHAHA that takes the cake for MMA math.
Lol, as ridiculous as that sounds, Genki Sudo who is normally a LW was able to beat Butter Bean. Who knows, in theory, maybe Serra could beat Bob Sapp...............did I just type that?
Elvis never slapped Bisping around...watch the fight again. He caught Bisping with a solid knee, but was unable to capitalize because he had already taken such a crazy beating. Bisping would eat Sylva for lunch - you'll see!
Wadz, I've read many a well thought out post from you in the past but this?........."Bisping would eat Sylva for lunch - you'll see!"............Are you kidding? It's glaringly obvious that you are not truly aware of what Wand brings to the table. Bisping has a ton of potential & we should all keep our eye on him but he is by no means on par with any of the top 10 205'ers.

Wanderlei is only 31, its not like he's an old man. He may still end up with the LHW title. I don't get the talk of him being done. Chuck is 37 but people still think he in his prime or something.
But you have to look at the number of fights they have been in, and the fights themselves. Wandy fought more often than Chuck and was involved in many more wars than Chuck.
Sure but I don't think he's all beat up or anything. He gets KO'ed by a HWT then loses to a world class fighter in Dan Henderson, when he is rumored to have been sick, and all of a sudden is all over for the Axe Murderer? I say NO!!! The murder spree will start anew in the UFC! :)

[...] The latest news from Wanderlei Silva is he’s coming to America, and will be fighting for the UFC in December. Could the fabled fight between Wand and Chuck finally be nigh? At the moment there’s just too many things up in the air. Perhaps the UFC is planning on using Wand to prop up their TUF finale earlier in December. If the UFC wants to set Silva up as a monster, there’s no better way than having him rip some poor TUF alumni limb from limb on national television. That certainly gave Anderson Silva instant credibility. [...]
Dana loves blowing Chuck Liddell so you have to see this coming :

If Chuck Liddell does beat Keith Jardine which he should, Dana will again try and do the very best he can to pave the road for his poster boy to get a title shot.

What that means guys is that he will throw Wanderlei Silva in the octagon in his first time in years against Chuck. He will not make it easy at all for Silva. No tune up fights period !!!

Dana wants nothing more than to see Chuck back in a title fight because it makes him more rich. If Silva has to face Chuck Liddell in his very first match in the octagon in over 6 years, it will be tougher than any of you may think. I could see Liddell winning that match and then taking on Rampage for the third time, because for the record .... No way Henderson wins.

THE POINT BEING, DANA BLOWS CHUCK AND WILL DO ANYTHING TO GET HIM BACK TO BEING "THE GUY".
Yeah but its not like Wandi is a complete stranger to the octagon. and he fought earlier this year so he's not gonna be to rusty as long as he keeps the training up. and "no way Henderson wins" I wouldnt count him out just yet i happen to think Dan is gonna win his fight against Page. But i do agree that Dana is helping Chuck out. Reportedly Liddell was given the choice to fight Jardine,Rua,Machida or Nakamura and he chose Jardine now what the hell is that all about.(besides the obvious possible easy win)
