“You have a Golden Retriever. Michael Vick is in the news due to the dogfighting scandal. What do you think of dogfighting? Being an animal lover, especially of dogs, I am totally against dogfighting or any form of hurting an animal. I think it’s a really cruel form of entertainment and it really disgusts me to think of it. Why watch dogs fight when you can watch the UFC!

– UFC Octagon Girl and pet lover Ali Sonoma makes a terrible association to dog fights and the UFC in a recent interview with DwizzlesWorld.com — the two should never even be mentioned in the same sentence. Thanks to FightLinker.com, perhaps the most outrageous and opinionated MMA blog on the Internet, for the assist.

OK, I don’t think this young girl is saying that dog fighting is the same as MMA, just because the two were mentioned in the same sentence is no reason to attack this girl. She was simply taking the opportunity to plug the UFC.

I fight and I am in no way insulted by these comments.

I love this sport(MMA) but lets not be too sensitive about protecting it. Having people tip toe threw conversations and watch what they say with fighter’s/promoter’s/trainer’s ect. is an easy way to turn people off of the sport.

She’s blonde and has big boobs. I never expected anything more out of her than that.

I’d like to be her teddy… the garment, not the stuffed animal.

I rated the article 1 star because I’m not really buying the premise of her dissing MMA.

She should have said the only thing more offensive than watching poor dogs rip each other apart is seeing how little Dana White is paying his fighters. Oooops!

She’s an idoit. She probably still doesn’t even understand why people would be upset with her for saying that. But, I guess dana white didn’t hire her for he brains.

C’mon dudes…it is obvious she enjoys the UFC and MMA…and there is a HUGE difference between dog fighting and the UFC, since the fighters both consent to participate based on their own free will and accord; unlike dog fighting where the dogs are cruelly manipulated/forced to fight…I am for sure this is what she really meant…

It wasn’t meant to be an analogy at all. She’s saying: why watch a disgusting, illegal spectacle (dogfighting), when you can watch a legitimate, LEGAL sport which has rules that protect human fighters. She wasn’t comparing the two. She was saying that MMA (UFC) is so great that no one should have to stoop to watching illegal dogfights.

Maybe her wording could have been a little better.

I agree, she wasnt making an analogy, she was just plugging the UFC. Plus, look at her, she could say whatever she wants.

She wins the Kelly Ripa award for most skeletal features.

Please stop hiring ring girls that are from the Paradise Drug Treatment program.

They really DON”T need a second chance.

It’s clear she isn’t making a connection between the two.
Everyone stop crying now please. Go outside and enjoy the fresh air.
