The UFC is already making plans to hold two December shows in Sin City to close out what promises to be a banner year for the promotion, according to FightNetwork.com.
Here’s the snip:
“Zuffa LLC, parent company of the UFC intends to request two December event dates – Dec. 8 at the Palms Casino and Dec. 29 at the Mandalay Bay Event Center – in Las Vegas at the next Nevada State Athletic Commission meeting July 31.”
With The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 6 set to debut on September 19, the December 8 show would more than likely be the date for the TUF 6 Finale. TUF 6 features 16 welterweight prospects and coaches Matt Serra and Matt Hughes.
Serra and Hughes are scheduled to headline the year-end pay-per-view (PPV) event on December 29 — the two will not fight at the TUF 6 Finale on Spike.
That main event status could all change, however, if the UFC plans to showcase several main event-caliber fights on the card such as Fedor Emelianenko vs. Randy Couture/Gabriel Gonzaga and Chuck Liddell vs. Wanderlei Silva.
New Year’s Eve would certainly be the time to do it … it’s just too bad we have to wait a few more months to learn the answer.
For now I’ll keep dreamin’ …

This isnt so far fetched I think it will happen the card would feature the following :
1. Randy Couture vs Fedor “the fresk show/guy from Goonies” Emelianenko
2. Chuck Liddell vs Wanderlei Silva
3. Matt Hughes vs Matt Serra
Pretty solid card but I could assure you that the other two fights that would air on PPV would probably blow whale c0ck as a result of these three great ones.
Oh by the way take Randy Couture as this will be his last scheduled fight.

I thought rc had a 4 fight contract. GG will only be his 2nd match of this?
Philho is with the WEC for now but he could fight in the UFC under that contract.

Um no dirty ML considering if he beats Fedor in his third fight back after successfully defending his title against Gonzaga, what more would he have left to prove after fighting Fedor (win or lose). That’d be an insane card. 4 of the most dominant champions in the sport (granted three were recently dethroned) and the inspiring 43 y.o. fan-favorite Randy Couture on top of all that.
Btw, those four champs combine for a 118-17 record. Serra and Randy make it 142-29. 0_o
