“The Silent Assassin” Luke Cummo (5-4) will return to action against Edilberto “Crocota” de Oliveira (8-1-1) at UFC Fight Night 11 on September 19, according to an interview posted on LukeCummo.com.
Here’s the snip:
“My opponent for September 19th is nicknamed “Crocota” and he trains with Team BlackHouse.”
Cummo — the off-center welterweight finalist on season two of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) — requested to fight on the card because his wife is pregnant. He will look to put together back-to-back wins inside the Octagon for the first time in his career during the Spike television special from The Palms Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
After his first three UFC fights went the distance (1-2), Cummo finished his last bout against Josh Haynes with a knockout at UFC 69 in April. His stand up looked much improved, considering he is primarily known as a Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist under the tutelage of UFC Welterweight Champion Matt Serra.
‘Crocota’ is a tough Brazilian fighter who is in search of his first UFC win. In his Octagon debut, he was pounded out by Paul Taylor via strikes during a preliminary bout at UFC 70: “Nations Collide” back in April.

Cummo is THE MAN! I love that guy. Hope he wins so he can feed his kid some gourmet, tasteless crap just like pops.
Doesn’t Cummo drink his own piss? I think Rogan said that one time. What a freak. Great character.

A snippet from Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story
“Necessary? Is it necessary for me to drink my own urine?”
“Probably not.”
“Of course it’s not. But I do it because it’s sterile, and I like the taste.”
I wonder who would win a fight between a pair of tweezers and Cummo’s eyebrow.

* Thats what is was supposed to say *
Urine Therapy is a freaky thing but well known around the world. It’s sterile at least.
Cummo will never threaten for the title, but he is def entertaining to watch. I dont think I’ve ever seen him in a boring fight.
Cummo by TKO and then back to the small time for Crocotta.
Ediberto’s with Black House? Maybe look for some thai in this fight, when know Cummo likes to bang.
Cummo is a great fighter and has a huge heart that he carries in to that cage everytime he fights. Although I cant get passed his weird character.
Overall the guy is exciting to watch and I love to see him out there
I am a fan of Luke. I just don’t see how someone can root against him. Its like rooting against a handicapped person fighting a cocky Brit.
Kumo reminds me of one of those LA bank robbers with that mask on or one of the guards at the end of Bravehert who chops of Sir William Wallace’s noggin…What a strange individual.
He looks like The Gimp from Pulp Fiction.
I hope he does well, consider if he ever does become a champion piss drinking may catch on and become a new trend.
Just wanted to clarify that Luke is not known for his BJJ in mma. In fact, his losses to Koscheck,Goulet and Stevenson were due to the fact he was dominated on the ground. His Maui Thai on the other hand is very fitted for MMA.Ray longo trained him and If im not mistaken he starting trainign with Matt serra when Serra went to Ray looking for a striking coach.plus, his toughness and chin made out of steel makes him imo the best striker in the 170lb division. Yes, I think his striking is way better than St.pierre’s and others
Hope luke wins. But i know nothing about Crocota so who knows.
I’ve seen more parapalegics with down syndrome who have more personality than Luke Cummo. Seriously does the guy ever speak ? He’s like the old Kane from WWF or at least a deaf mute.
Kevin “cuts” Kelly
Maybe if he eats his shit he’ll be unstoppable.

Matt Hammil, what?

And he finishes his fights with the Poo-Poo-plata, not to be confused with the delightful Asian meal.
I could have a more intriguing conversation with Matt Hammil most likely. At least he grunts and shows emotion.
who dosnt love Cummo, hes a fucking badass!

Kevin Kelly vs. Luke Cummo UFC Fight Night 14 in the pipeline. Don’t worry he can come up to whatever weight category you fall under. lol.
Seriously though, how do you find him so uninteresting.
He’s got some seriously good striking.
Luke for the win by TKO 3rd round. Keep on eating that organic food Luke!
I enjoy watching Cummo fight, like Leban (whether you like him or not) you know you are not going to get a boring fight. He is one really dangerous stand up fighter, and not only that he has a solid chin. His only ‘weakness’ is on the ground where fighters tend to put him when they cannot handle his stand up game. Work on this area and get a little extra strength and he will give anyone a heap of trouble in that division. I look forward to watching him fight and hope to see him rise up the rankings in the future.
Luke was a Muay Thai fighter before transitioning to MMA. In fact, the last time he stepped into the ring before TUF was for a kickboxing bout at Combat at the Capitale in NYC (which he dominated).
Who cares how good an interview he is? He can fight and that’s the important thing.
Couldn’t he find a ninja mask or something a bit more interesting than a ski mask?
He reminds me of that crazy guy in that movie Stripes.
