Completly agree. I think BJ would take him down and it would look like the Penn/duane ludwig fight went. He would submit a. silva in a flash if he got him to the ground. You bring up all the points I would have, and whoever wrote that first part is obviously just a hater, and bases nothing on fact or reality. Maybe Penn beat him up in elementry school one day?

Sherk’s pending appeal is the only thing keeping the strap on his mantle. As the appeal goes, so goes the belt. The decision has already been made.
Those jumping on the Sherk bashing wagon should put it in neutral. I am not defending him, he certainly looks like a needle jockey, but pissing 12ng/ml is nothing. There is a good chance he will win his appeal, especially if new samples/tests are ordered.
It would really be stupid of the UFC to strip the belt and then have to give it back in the case of a successful appeal. I won’t be surprised by either verdict.

And for your argument of pain killers that is rediculous, he would not have been cleared to fight if he was on prescription steroids and if he is addicted to pain killers that shouldn’t make his punishments any less severe. Im not quite sure why you are so passionate about defending him in the first place I mean is it really all that surprising looking at this guy.

I’m disappointed in Franca, but I appreciate his honest, manning up and taking responsibility. If there was ever a good ‘excuse’ for steroids, I’d say recovering from an injury to feed your family is it, but I’m not condoning it and I still think he’s stupid for doing it.

HOW CAN YOU NOT KNOW WHAT SUBSTANCES THEY TEST FOR???

It’s your job as a fighter (or your trainer’s job) to call the Nevada State Athletic Commission or whoever does the testing, and say, fax me a list of stuff I can’t take. Then ask, hey, if I’m mixing Vitamins X, with my Met-Rx, steak dinner, and my girlfriend’s poontang, will this somehow cause me to test a false positive? Responsibility lies ultimately with the fighter.

So I find it suspicious that (from what I’ve read or haven’t read) that Sherk hasn’t publicly denied anything. If you were innocent, wouldn’t you get on the horn (internet) and proclaim it??

UFC NEEDS TO INSTITUTE IT’S OWN STEROID TESTING MONTHLY FOR ALL FIGHTERS, NOT JUST TITLE BOUTS.
