Andrei Arlovski
Former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski will make his first-ever visit to the Los Angeles, Calif., area next Saturday July 28, according to a recent press release.

The Belarussian will sign autographs for FREE and pose for pictures with those lucky fans who attend. In addition to the meet-and-greet, Arlovski will be at the SOYO annual warehouse sale to promote his new Pit Bull Series LCD HDTVs.

Soyo is an innovative provider of computer, consumer electronics and broadband telecommunications products.

Here are all the details:

Who: Former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski

What: Signing autographs for FREE

When: Saturday July 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: SOYO headquarters
1420 S. Vintage Avenue
Ontario, California

Don’t miss this chance if you’re anywhere near the Ontario area. It sounds like a great opportunity.

Just a quick note for all the Arlovski fans who email me each day: There’s no word yet on an upcoming opponent. As soon as we hear something, we will pass the news along as soon as possible.

Although if anyone out there is listening, a showdown with Mirko Cro Cop (even though he has requested Big Nog) would be nice if he can get past Cheick Kongo at UFC 75.

Just a random thought.

I’m a pretty big Arlovski fan, the guy will be champ once again, no matter whom he faces except if it’s Tim Sylvia.

right on. i think a.a would beat silvia in a rematch also, but no one wants to see that. i think c.c. would force a.a to bring out his best. this fight would be 50/50 in my book, whoever landed first.

He doesn’t seem to have improved that much since Sylvia beat him, why do you think he would win a third fight?. And no I am not a Sylvia fan, I just say it as I see it.

Free autographs? He must have gotten wind of Tim Sylvia charging $40 that one time and how popular that was with the fans. Andrei’s got his condom endorsement to help make ends meet.

Arlovski has a stand-up advantage over everyone except Sylvia and Crocop. If there is an Arlovski-Sylvia IV, he better be taking it right to the ground this time.

AA-CC would be quite a battle. Crocop has great takedown defense- which noone got to see against Gonzaga. This would be a great matchup and much as Arlovski is one of my absolute favorite fighters, I’d put my money on Crocop.

Noguiera is supposed to get next I believe but- his win over Herring was less than stellar. Dana White might be scratching his skin melon right now saying “I don’t know about this…”.

I think that Arlovski,Noguiera,C.C., and Sylvia are all fighting for number one contender. I think they all need a couple more fights before getting a title shot. Arlovski’s and Noguiera’s last fights were less then stella. C.C. and Sylvia are both coming off losses plus Tim is coming back from back surgery.

A.A. vs C.C.
Nog. vs Sylvia

Winners of those fight meet and fight for next title shot.

I would say the winner of AA vs CC gets first title shot and then winner oof Nog vs Sylvia gets that winner. You gotta leave some fights for the campion.

exactly!!! you all are looking past cheick kongo. maybe you all need to get onto youtube and see how good kongo’s striking is. he is a beast. i bet he knocks out cro cop. i know people may think im crazy but who cares i cant see any of you all anyway. however kongo’s striking is excellent plus he is huge and powerfull. cro cop has great striking also as everyone knows but kongo is a pure striker also that looks very powerfull. if kongo learns bjj he will one of the most deadly fighters in mma. mark my words. kongo will destroy cro cop because he is larger and more powerful on his feet. you all should look forward to kongo vs AA.

I wouldn’t laugh at that. And I would also bet that you typed “Hahaha” to anyone who said that Gonzaga was going to KO Cro Cop and look what happened. I mean, I have seen a ton of Cro Cop fights when he was in PRIDE, and he was truely devastating. So far in his first 2 fights in the UFC, he has not looked the least bit impressive.

It’s a good point if you look at the trends in the ufc right now to predict upset win for Kongo. He might have looked impressive in his u-tube fight compilations but you would have to agree it’s a little easier to look good against guys who are nobodys or not top end fighters than it would be to have a highlight real like Cro-cops with impressive victories over top talent. Lets not forget Kongo hasn’t really been tested pretty tough to just assume he can dismantle a fighter like Mirko. It’s definetly not out of the realm of possiblity he could win but judging by his last couple fights and overall experience things are looking good for ol’ Cheick!

bob sapp is big and powerfull too but you have to agree that his striking ability is no where near as good as cro cops nor kongos. his victory over sapp was impressive but sapp is kind of a joke. crocop is an “A” class striker and sapp is an “A” class meat head. pure power not much ability.

NO WAY, the hands always quicker than the feet, always. I’m leaning toward AA, but it would be an awesome fight. Also, I think CC has a better chance of beating Big Tim than AA. I can see him stay away and chop those legs all day.

cro cop will kill AA at the current mental state that AA is in. all AA will do is try to stay out of distance and be extra concervative while CC will blast him with wheel kicks and any other powerful strike he prefers AA doesnt have the killer instinct anymore to be able to defeat CC

Fully agree with you his striking is sub par, but you have to admit that Kongo’s striking is not on the same level as Cro cops. Lets give credit where credit is due and Cheick has done pretty well against pretty weak competition minus his loss. On the other hand Cro Cop has PROVED his striking capabilities against the top HW in the world. Maybe this is a coming out for cheick and he shows he can bang with the big boys. I just sit back and wonder though if you switched fight cards would cheick even be on the map?? I don’t think Mirko would have fought any of those plugs to begin with butI also don’t think he would have dropped one to Marrero or those other losses he has to nobody’s. Can you all jokes aside tell me cheick would have beat or had a similar record over in pride if he fought who Mirko had to?? The comparison with Sapp to Cheick I was making was just clearly to point out he has fought stronger opponents (like powerful strong)then cheick. I was not saying Sapp was a great mma force with superb fighting skills. Should be a good fight but unless Cheick catches him I think he is going to sleep in the first.

Yeah definetly don’t want to be the guy who rips on everyones comments or defends Sapp. Again it was just a reference to his strength and I really don’t recall saying he was a better striker then anyone for that matter let alone Mirko and Kongo.

Hope so. I think CC was bought for this dream matchup…
I don’t know, tough to predict. I mean Arlovski is seriously fast for a big guy, he was big into soccer so he’s got that natural explosiveness.

Cro cop is member of a professional croatian soccer team! Talk about an achiever.

My apologies, what makes you think he would win a fourth fight then?. I think they should bring Paul Buentello back, he would definately beat Arlovski a second time and he think he would put up a better performance against Cro Cop. He is definately one of the best strikers in the Heavyweight division, I am surprised the haven,t brought him back. When he fought Arlovski, they both threw their punches at the same time, Buentello came up short. I don’t think that would happen if they met again, and as I said before I think Buentello would put on a better show with Cro Cop.
