I think a lot of people have a misconception of the Franca/Varner bout. Varner didn’t gas. Franca landed a perfect knee that rocked Varner’s foundation. That was the beginning of the end. Varner got on his bicycle and pedaled to no tomorrow in order to recover, eventually having Big John momentarily stop the fight to dock a point from Varner. Even with the added rest, Varner was wobbly. Franca capitalized with a Muy Thai knee. Varner desperately shot in for a TD, only to get subbed by some sorta inverted arm bar. If anyone knows the name of that sub, pray tell.

BTW, I’ve bet on Sherk too. My only concern is that Sherk might eat a knee in the 5-Rounder, only to get dazed enough for Franca to lock in some kinda choke. I don’t see Sherk getting subbed in any other way.

I THINK SHERK WILL PROBALLY MAKE EASY WORK OF FRANCA,BUT IM NOT COUNTING FRANCA OUT BUT JUST THINK IT WILL BE A WALK IN THE PARK FOR SHERK. I WONDER HOW THE SILVA FIGHT WILL TURN OUT NATE THE GREAT IS A GOOD CHALLENGE BUT HE SEEMS LIKE A BORING TEST,NO DOUBT HE WILL PUT SILVAS STRENGTH TO THE TEST. TO CLOSE TO CALL.

On all the posters I have seen they are showing the tito/Rashad NOG/Heath and Silva/Nate. They need to give the Lightweight title fight more attention. It deserves way more spotlight.
