Does the “UFC All Access” curse truly exist?

UFC Lightweight Champion Sean Sherk will be the latest candidate to test out the bizarre phenomenon, which has claimed other titleholders before him such as Georges St. Pierre (UFC 69), Matt Hughes (UFC 65) and Andrei Arlovski (UFC 59).

In fact, then 205-pound king Chuck Liddell (UFC 66) is the rare exception in recent history to not fall victim.

Sherk will be featured this Monday, July 2, at 11:30 p.m. on “UFC All Access,” which airs on the Spike TV network. The special — hosted by UFC spokesmodel Rachelle Leah — will give us an inside look at his training and preparation for Hermes Franca.

Sherk and Franca are set to clash at UFC 73: “Stacked” on July 7.

In addition, “UFC 73 Countdown” will air at 10:30 p.m. ET that same night. Expect this special to showcase the two title fights on the card, as well as the light heavyweight showdown between Tito Ortiz and Rashad Evans.

It should be a solid night of UFC programming to prepare us for the monster show one week from today.

Don’t miss it.

But, in the event that you do, the episode of “UFC All Access” will re-air on Thursday, July 5, at midnight and Friday, July 6, at 1:30 a.m. ET. “UFC 73 Countdown” will re-air on Thursday, July 5, at 11:00 p.m. ET and Saturday, July 7, at 6:00 p.m.

You forgot that Rampage had an All Access before he won the belt? How can Rachelle be a curse to any heterosexual man? :D

I’m talking about champs:

UFC Lightweight Champion Sean Sherk will be the latest candidate to test out the bizarre phenomenon, which has claimed other titleholders before him such as …

There are other non-champs besides Rampage who have survived such as Tito Ortiz prior to UFC 61.

I think I am done. Just wanted to point out that I was referencing champs. Sorry if it looks incomplete.

So double whammy there: Shrek will be on all access and he is seen in the UFC 73 photo with his belt (Tim Sylvia curse). He may as well announce a post-fight party and score the hat trick. If he wins with all that mythology stacked against him, then there is nothing to it.

Off this thread for a sec- I was looking at the comment count on the threads lately. Activity is really at a lull. Last couple of events haven’t been top notch. UFC 72 was disappointing. TUF 5 finale was decent but a couple of the fights ended abruptly due to injury and Penn-Pulver was pretty one sided. So we really need 73 on 7/7/7 to knock it out of the park. No pressure guys!

I kind of agree with Mama’s boy…I am dying to see 73 because the last two events have been good but not great. I have a good feeling that 73 is going to live up to the hype. I still think tito v evans is going to be a war. I think tito has the power but evans has the speed. Titos ground and pound is better but evans has better kicks(not just because of the salmon KO either) I am still going with Tito in a late 3rd TKO or decision.

73 is just an all around good card.

Hey Mania you know Dana White right?or atleast you can get the message across, over here in the UK we dont get any of those UFC all acsess programs and I am sick of it,I have to get them off net after the fight has been on usualy. They do show countdown on Bravo but not that thing that Joe Rogan hosts or nothing and there is so much we are missing over here. With the amount of s**t repeats of s**t programs they show on Bravo surely they could find space for it.
Tell Dana to have a word with em or im gonna drive a car full of matches and camping gas into the Bravo building!

Sherk is too strong for franca but either of them would come up short against EL MATADOR.

Question: Is anyone seeing All Access at 10:30 on Spike on their guides on either cable or DirecTV? I’ve got Hero (the movie) on at 9:30, leading to the countdown show at 11:30. Just wondering if anyone else has seen it on their guide.
