I agree, and I think most people who are not “in the know” look at the first UFC events and dont realise how much this sport has grown since then. It’s really incredible how much different the company is now, I mean we have seriously conditioned athletes out there doing their thing, it’s no longer bar room brawlers and guys who specialize in one form of martial arts or another. Now you have guys who must atleast become familiar with 3 or 4 forms of fighting to be successful, which is way more than you can say for boxers. And that is what I wish someone would say to these guys who can not seem to get their head out of their a*s and see MMA for what it really is.

No amount of hating will ever kill this sport. As it progresses, people will learn more, but there will ALWAYS be those who are ignorant.

The more attention it gets, the closer the paychecks for these guys will be to what they deserve.

Tim Dahlberg sounds like one of those guys who is closed minded and thinks just because he doesn’t like it, the world shouldn’t like it too. He is just an idiot reporter saying anything to make a buck, those kinds of people never die out. UFC is making its run, and I doubt measley guys like him are gonna stand in front of the UFC train and be able to stop it.

who are you? great card. i still think pride 33 is the new measuring stick. all it really lacked was the great ground war a la diaz vs parisyan. if pride 33 was a 9.5, ufc 71 was an 8. still really good
