Serious. Joe killed him. Excellent job Roagan. Very pleased with Joe he is a great ambassador for the sport, people like to say otherwise (Matt Hughes) but Joe does know what he is talking about very much, and does an exceptional job at defending our sport against guys like this. Very lucky to have a guy like Joe.
These guys talk about boxing such a sweet science, ok yeah but as if MMA is not? Very much more so, it incompasses boxing and MUCH more involving much more stratagy and technique, THAT is the science in my mind. They say we just don’t know anything about boxing, just don’t konw and appreciate the sport, while it is quite the contrary, all bet any MMA fan knows a world more about boxing, than any devoute boxing fan knows about any kind of submission grappeling, Muy Thai, or non boxing fight aspect.
how many times are they goin to use human cockfighting to refer to mma.. get a new insult.. boxing is done and i love it.. everything was so true about how the ufc promotes there company and how boxing promotes only individuals. they ruined it themseleves.. fuk’em , salty mo fos.. Nah don’t, it only takes any weight out of all the stupid stuff they say about MMA.
But I suppose if they did have an educated guy, he couldnt, or wouldnt talk so negativly about MMA, which is why they have to bring in ignorant chumps.
I’m not really excited about boxing going down, its a good sport but I just like MMA better. The “human cockfighting” statement is an obvious insult, and these boxing promoters sound like a broken record like longislandguy said get some new material. Joe is a great spokeman for MMA, hes very well spoken and is a good debater, the other guy started getting personal and started telling joe what he thinks which makes me think Joe got under his skin. I really don’t want boxing to die, its a great sport but like Joe said MMA is total “fighting” not just the hands which makes it more exciting.

Joe does know what he is talking about dosnt matter what anybody says, I have alwasy loved his commentary, his outlook on fights, and his pre and post fight analysis in my opinion as far as commentators is second to none. Even Bas Rutten in my opinion. Which is not to degrade Bas’s knowlegde, I just think Joe can explain and put it inot words better.

I really loathe the sweet science and you don’t understand the beauty of boxing arguments. Adam Carolla (who is a big boxing fan) actually debunked these nicely when discussing the Mayweather/De La Hoya fight. He said it wasn’t an exciting fight and that the people who claim that they just don’t “get it,” are full of it, because all of the greatest matches are where to guys beat the living crap out of one another. Think about the most storied and well-known fights throughout the years, odds are that they don’t demonstrate all of the oh so important defensive skills some boxing pundits love to plug, but rather feature two guys standing toe to toe and unloading on one another.
I enjoy watching boxing, but not nearly as much as I enjoy watching MMA. Moreover, the righteous indignation from all of the boxing apologists/MMA critics is becoming really annoying.
One thing I would like to note is that Joe Rogan stated he does not aggree with Elbows, and that is one thing I have agreed with the entire time, and I have been saying this for a while. When it comes down to the feud, Joe Rogan did an excellent Job. I do feel he come off on the aggressive side of things, but in the end he made well statements.

Good job!
I agree on what u are saying my friend!
I wasn’t as impressed with Joe’s performance. While he certainly got the better of Lou from a logic standpoint, he was too aggressive in his rhetoric and attitude. Its not going to win points among those over 30. His message will be lost as they’ll conclude he’s a punk.
Two best examples of Joe’s overbearing rhetoric:
- Predicting the permanent demise of boxing. He should have just played the “there’s room for both” diplomatic message. Its probably the more accurate argument.
- At at the end, where he blew a kiss to Lou Dibella. Not needed
This is not to suggest that Lou Dibella won the argument. I wasn’t impressed with his performance either.

Agree.. Joe does do justice for the sport no matter what anybody says
ESPN needs someone like randy to host there clips on UFC. Maybe when he retires. Just like they take all the retired football and baseball playes to host.
This was huge for UFC to get that much airtime on ESPN. I can only hope that every night they play highlights from all the MMA sports going on. Times are a changing for the better.
Joe was agressive in his interview but with someone making those idiotic statements about MMA to him i’m glad he put him in his place.

ha, nice point, didn’t have much to do with my comment, but actually, your saying people don’t really care about the “sweet science” as much as they say right? I dunno, I mean yeah people like it more when they go toe to toe Vs. boring, but that’s not to say the technique and stratagy don’t go unoticed, or arnt a big reason for it. And what I was saying that with all MMA incompasses, it involes WAY more statagy and technique than boxing, which makes it way more exciting and fun to watch.
Great Interview! Rogan handled him self well in this Interviews…Science dude got owned, and unfortunately got worked over bu Rogan..mmmmmaaa..Big kiss to the dude..lol..that was great!. I like boxing, but like M.M.A. more. sometimes sports get kicked and in this case boxing is damaging them-selves by this race to which sport is better. There should be no competing or comparison to these 2 sports. Can’t we all just get along!…
The sweet science talk is the biggest load of crap Boxing uses as its defense against MMA. Whenever a boxer such as Mayweather or Taylor use true boxing skills, they are booed for the fight being boring. But in the recent fight with Pavlik and Miranda, all anyone could talk about was the bombs they were throwing at each other going toe to toe. Nothing so sweet about that.
Now the talk about MMA guys being goons and it’s nothing but streetfighting with a ref and a time limit. Correct me if I’m wrong, but has a MMA fighter ever bit a guys ear off during the fight? Or has two MMA corners ever rushed to the center of the Octagon and started a brawl in between rounds? How many MMA fighters have been arrested for rape? And when they showcase boxings stars and how they live, if they don’t look, talk, and act like thugs, then I don’t know what a thug is.
I like boxing just as much as the next guy. I agree it is comparing apples to oranges. It seems the the boxing fanatics tend to take things so personally. Perhapes its because a boxer is the toughest guy in a bar until ufc fighter walks in.
Joe Rogan…I Luv u..(not no gay shit)..Your the Man..Yesterday I’m training at my gym doing some cardio..than Bamm I see UFC on ESPN..I’m like what the F$%^$^..I can’t hear nothing but I’m reading the text..Joe shitted on Lou..HARD..My mouth was dropped I loved every moment of it..didn’t even want it to stop. It looked like Lou turned white..Man what another great day for MMA/UFC..Joe God bless you bro.

” I agree when I got home turned on the tube to catch that segment again..The guys at ESPN were in my eyes very disrespectful to MMA..Like now it’s offical cause we’re showing it to you..which is crap..Like ESPN just stumbled on to the UFC..and saying look at this new sport of combat..and the info was not accurate..hopefully they can get their shit together… ( They can’t admit to turning their face to our sport..but now everywhere they look is MMA/UFC..so now they HAVE TO show it. )

They say that shit because it’s the only thing they can say to make their sport seem better to the rich white people that dont know anything about either sport. Of course we all know the truth, mma is a more dynamic sport and actually no more dangerous than boxing so therefore is better.

“DIDDO”
Also i hate it when these boxing guys get cornered in conversation and say “its like comparing apples to oranges.” That is the stupidest thing i’ve ever heard because there is boxing in mma. there’s no citrus in apples! A better analogy would be comparing chess to checkers!

For the record, I don’t like Joe rogan at all and tend to agree with Matt Hughes comments about him.
However, I’ve had the gripe with ESPN for years for not covering MMA. They can waste 6 to 12 hours a day showing poker, which to me is not even a legitamate sport, but for years could not cover any MMA. I think that shows where ESPN has always stood in regards to the sport of mixed martial arts.
I think your wrong. Joe does know what hes talking about. if he didnt he would have gotten his ass handed to him in that debate. instead hes the one who tore that guy a new ass hole. and who was that boxer who was dissing on MMA? that guy was stupid. MMA fighters can punch just as good if not better then boxers. if you take a boxer and put him in the cage….well to make a long story short his career as a boxer is done after he gets his arm broke or his skull fractured.
Winner: Joe Rogan by Referee Stoppage

- At at the end, where he blew a kiss to Lou Dibella. Not needed
This is not to suggest that Lou Dibella won the argument. I wasn’t impressed with his performance either.
I wasn’t as impressed with Joe’s performance. While he certainly got the better of Lou from a logic standpoint, he was too aggressive in his rhetoric and attitude. Its not going to win points among those over 30. His message will be lost as they’ll conclude he’s a punk.

Basically what I said with a little more elaboration.

Agree.. Joe does do justice for the sport no matter what anybody says
young white guys to watch?????what the hell
Joe ate this guy alive. I’m glad that guy was a f***** idiot

Moreover, the righteous indignation from all of the boxing apologists/MMA critics is becoming really annoying.
ha, nice point, didn’t have much to do with my comment, but actually, your saying people don’t really care about the “sweet science” as much as they say right?
Was it my drunk ass or did Joe Rogan just OWN that guy on ESPN!!!!!! I love it. Joe Rogan is the man!!!! Old crusty boxing dude needs to get a clue!!!
That guy is just mad that UFC is so much better than boxing.
Boxing is better than MMA. Ha dont make me laugh boldy.
It looked like Lou turned white..Man what another great day for MMA/UFC..Joe God bless you bro.
they also need to get an espn guy that knows wat hes takling about when it comes to mma. that would help out a lot.

Right on dude/
For the record, I don’t like Joe rogan at all and tend to agree with Matt Hughes comments about him.
However, I’ve had the gripe with ESPN for years for not covering MMA. They can waste 6 to 12 hours a day showing poker, which to me is not even a legitamate sport, but for years could not cover any MMA. I think that shows where ESPN has always stood in regards to the sport of mixed martial arts.
HAHAHA…..Mayweather is such a little byatch. He would get ripped a new one if he was in the UFC…little bitch mayweatherlololol
If anything is going to kill boxing, it’s corrupt promoters like Don King and all these alphabet suit organizations that are going to kill it.
Quick, someone name 1 current boxing champion.
