oh hell yeah… GREAT FIGHT!
GSP could come back hard or Kos could show he is for real.
Maybe the UFC does listen to the fans….
hell yeah, 74 is gonna be a damn good show too, i hope gsp destroys koscheck, koscheck always fights smart though, its gonna be a very interesting fight, like luppers said, we’re gonna find out if kos is for real, i don’t see him beating gsp, especially after a loss, gsp has to come back with some fire here and get a shot at his title back…i see gsp winning this one by (T)KO…
koscheck will for sure have a different game plan than he did against diego, i think he’ll look to take gsp down and work his blanket technique, gsp has amazing take down defense though and hopefully can hit koscheck hard when he tries to shoot, should be a good ass fight…
well gsp does have good takedown deffence but hes never fought anyone as good as koscheck”wrestling wise” i give it to kos by decision or gsp by tko
This is going to be good! What happens to GSP if KOS beats him?
This is going to be good! What happens to GSP if KOS beats him?
yeah i don’t know, this is real dangerous for gsp, that makes me think he’s gonna come out and dominate…
Maybe the UFC does listen to the fans….
i think this is bullshit. GSP has to fight KOS to get back while hughes had to fight lytle.

I totally agree mate, Hughes has been molly coddled after his loss to GSP. Still think GSP will beat koscheck though, should be a good fight.
Koshcheck hates to get hit. If GSP can block Josh’s takedowns and avoid a lucky right hand, should be GSP winning very quickly, in any fashion.
This is going to be good! What happens to GSP if KOS beats him?
Well he better not complain about not being ready.. hehe
a focused gsp will dismantle kos. i think maybee dana reads this sight as well mtu. i’m glad gsp is fighting a top tier guy unlike hughes/lytle. he does have something to prove, that the serra fight was a fluke. maybee dana will read our other post about that 72 should be discounted to a lower price.
Kos is in trouble here I think GSP is gonna destroy him and I cant wait to see this ****** get smoked
Maybe the UFC does listen to the fans….
I don’t know why they don’t more often…I am tired of seeing lack luster fights. AND GIVE JON FITCH A REAL FRIGGIN FIGHTER PLEASE! Fitch vs. Sanchez…Let’s make it happen….

This is going to be good! What happens to GSP if KOS beats him?
then he is the 3rd best 170 guy
I hope GSP is as good as Chuck in being able to pop back up to his feet in the event he gets taken down. Otherwise, GSP losing by blanket is a very real possibility, which I hope doesn’t happen.
I became a Kos fan when he beat Diego,GSP is one of my fav’s so I hope he wins.Actially I think GSP is going to ko him in the first via rear naked choke.
everyone thinks lytle is an easy fight… lytle is a tough fight if it happened to be against st pierre it would b a tougher fight for “rush” than against koscheck because lytle has good striking.. he is a pro boxer and has very good submissions thats exactly why hughes got that fight… imagine if hughes would have gotten “kos”, it would have been a bad and boring fight because its 2 wrestlers that wont get any takedowns striking… its a boring fight… just like st pierre vs lytle… i get why dana set up the matches this way
This is a hell match up, GSP is down on confidance and Koscheck has plenty to spare. Just hope its more exciting than the Hyped up Koscheck v Diego fight, that was crap, Cant wait for this, GSP will Knock Koscheck out in the 2nd.
kos is gonna beat gsp the same way he did to dirty sanchez….it’s gonna a amazing fight!!!! can’t wait!

Well, I dont know if Dana does, but the UFC has several hundered employees. As Mania has pointed out, he knows that the UFC is aware of the site ( he pointed at a UFC MANIA t-shirt once and smiled ). But I am sure that what the general gist of things is gets up to the higher levels. So….
72 for $14.95 and not a penny more.
UFC 72 aside, there has to be a way to convince the UFC to show all the fights. you have some clout mania. lets get this rollin

i think GSP is one of those always will give you a decent fight type of guys. nick diaz is the president
Anyone else know about this? I didnt, at least I dont remember knowing about it. At least its the only one, so far…good reason to keep the sport in the mainstream so the neurocare stays world-class.

GSP all the way on this one.

Hughes got lytle…….and gsp got serra, both “cream puffs” people shut up about this already, do your f**king homework before you talk.
Gsp has all the tools to make koscheck look like and a beginner, every time koscheck goes in for the take down I’m sure gsp will be ready for him and make his pay for each attempt. Koscheck won’t try to stand with gsp for very long, and we’ll truly see who’s the better wrestler. I know most assume its all kocheck but gsp has being wrestling with olympic wrestlers for years and easily shook off a couple of Hughes take downs. I think it will be a one sided fight will koscheck getting a lesson in humility.

God, I hope your right.
Koscheck is on his way to the top! Kos wins TKO
Maybe the UFC does listen to the fans….
Either that or they are realizing more and more every day that they need to run themselves differently than boxing (ie making people wait years for good matchups). Whoever loses this fight still deserves a spot in the top 5 of the division.
I am gonna go with GSP, but I think that Kos should get a shot against Hughes when this is said and done. I dont know how that will work out though with Hughes already set to fight for the title in November. Plus I dont see Dana White setting up Hughes with a difficult fight when he plans to retire soon. But, hopefully Im wrong.
This is going to be good! What happens to GSP if KOS beats him?
GSP obviously isn’t going away with a loss but that would really complicate the picture. You’d have to say Koscheck deserves a title shot then. But KP should get next shot if he beats Burkman. So you have Matt vs Matt, winner gets KP (maybe), winner gets Kos, then you have Diego and loser Matt coming up. Don’t forget Diego has only ever lost once… a unanimous yet very close decision to Kos who would be challenging for the belt. So Diego is still in the top 5 and in contention.

Yeah and what about Lytle too? Is he totally out of the picture now that he has recent losses to the current champ Sera and the current challenger, Hughes? That’s some tough luck if the guy isn’t still in the top. I say put Lytle against Fitch and loser goes off the radar screen for a while.
Koscheck is on his way to the top! Kos wins TKO
Koscheck acts like a dick but I admire the guys skills and how far he has come since TUF 1. I like both guys in this fight. I guess you just watch and hope neither guy gets seriously injured.
I hope GSP is as good as Chuck in being able to pop back up to his feet in the event he gets taken down. Otherwise, GSP losing by blanket is a very real possibility, which I hope doesn’t happen.
Possible, but doubtfull. Kos is a great wrestler, but Trig, Sherk and Hughes aren’t to bad themselves and we all seen where that got them. Gsp 2nd round KO.

No I didn’t, I thought there were no fatalities in MMA. It’s still a pretty safe sport though. Take horse racing for example ( 140 jockies died in North America)and no one is trying to ban that.
“Possible, but doubtfull. Kos is a great wrestler, but Trig, Sherk and Hughes aren’t to bad themselves and we all seen where that got them. Gsp 2nd round KO.”
Couldn’t agree more.
Hope Kos is not talking to “Twinky Toes” Trig right now, or he’ll be too scared to fight.
by the way, I still don’t get it, we know Kos is a damn good wresler, why was he afraid to take Diego down. He had to wait ’till when the period almost end to test Diego on the ground, and got reversed. Is he really that good??

I can’t stand Diego ,but he’s as slippery as they come on the ground and it could’ve been a different outcome had he taken him down earlier.

Koscheck is a very good wrestler and was obviously only concerned about scoring with the judges with his late take down attempt. Diego was a fool after the first round to just stand with him like he did, he really should have tried to clinch more, based on how easily he got Kochecks back after Koscheck got him down. Wrestling is one thing but this is mma, not a wrestling match, there’s so many aspects to the fight. I think Koscheck is the better “wrestler” than diego but I think diego is the better grappler….he’s so hard to keep down, has great submissions and always seems to manage to get on top. If koscheck manages to get gsp down, I doubt he could hold him down, remember how easily gsp reversed karo? It’ll be a great fight, both gsp and koscheck are extremely athletic and fast, gsp being much more well rounded and I think he’s stronger too. No way will he out point gsp in my opinion, gsp will keep coming at him “till the end”.
On thing I noticed about both Hughes and diego before there most recent losses is they had fights that gave them a false sense of there striking ability. Hughes got the better of an injured and exhausted bj penn in the 3rd round standing and diego ko’s riggs in a very impressive fashion in the first round. You could see it in the Hughes/gsp fight, Hughes went away from his strengths and thought he was chuck liddel, same with diego and his fight with koscheck. Both these guys went away from what got them there, too bad for them and I believe now serra thinks he’s a great striker, which he isn’t, only improved from being mediocre to slightly good. Every one wants to get the ko it seems no matter how long they’ve been grappling, too bad because I think a good sub is just as good as a good ko. And by the way with the gsp/hughes fight I’m not sure Hughes would have won if he had only stuck with his strengths but I don’t think it would have being so one sided.
Please… GSP destroy this little c**ksucker… I want to see that belt back around your waist…

The Lytle-Hughes match was made by Joe Silva. GSP “got” Serra due to TUF, it wasn’t like Serra was a hand-picked opponent. Anyway, Hughes was still champ when Serra won TUF, so who can you compare the two situations?
i think gsp has the better stand up game and jits game. kos has improved stand up as well as excellent take downs. i think gsp will have to work on his back. but i do think this fight is evenly matched.
i would also like to see diego vs kos again because i believe kos played it safe and diego didnt really try. there was so much hype but the fight wasnt as good as the hype.

I think they gave hughes lytle because he lost a close decision to serra who won a title shot, and a lot of people actually thought lytle won that fight. I don’t think its because there trying to pamper hughes, hughes fighting lytle isn’t much different to gsp fighting serra, I guess I can see the logic in there choice.

Agree. Too many ppl dissing Chris Lytle. The guy has NEVER been KOed, TKOed, or subbed in an eight year career. Not many can say that.
Good points on lytle mtufc, on the topic of koscheck vs gsp, if kocheck does get gsp down, if anyone doubts gsp could reverse it watch this fight.
http://www.dailymotion.com/related/2489787/video/x427h_tko-14-georges-st-pierre-vs-pete-sp/1
best reversal I’ve ever seen.
Yea, the jist of ‘hughes got lytle’ isnt a weakness…. Lytle lost by a close decision, so he faced Matt Hughes not as an ‘easy’ opponent, but as a chance for Lytle to step up. Lytle is no joke, and I still believe he has the talent to win against anyone in the UFC @ 170lbs. Puncher’s chance, good take down defense, good ground defense…
I think this is a more one sided fight than Pierre/Serra.
Cant wait to see GSP Kill KOS(Going to be great)!!!! 2nd Rd TKO
GSP gets better as the rounds go on.
I see this being decided by way of death to koschek by knockout(fingers crossed) or parallisis induced by extreme boredom followed by eyes growing legs and leaving your face for the 15 minutes of your life you’ll never get back by watching koschek fight. Should be a barn burner!!
Kos will take GSP down with a huge slam, and from there will work his ground and pound to eventually have the ref stop the fight, or have poor ol’ GSP get k.o.
St. Pierre by submission. William Shatner will enter the cage and ridicule the blanket in the post fight interview.
You know I was reading “Paul’s” comment and paul what you dont relize is that kos is nothing compaired to Diego. Diego had a major staph infection during the fight with kos and kos barly beat him. What would happen if Diego is healthy? ill tell you what will happen Diego would destroy kos. and dont act like Diego is making excuses ether. Cause as i recall Diego didnt say anything about his staph infection. you know who did? Dana White. Im not mad at you or yelling at you im just letting you know the facts.

i can tell you dont live in the USA and if you do well you best not walk around USA saying go canada or you will get you skull crushed in.
