Joe is a killer, that guy has crazy energy. It's always funny to me to that the guys (Brain) who talk the most shit, tend to lose. Let's look back to Josh Haynes, that guy always talked big and lost big too. "One man rendition of the boston tea party" then Bisping whoops him.

These guys should catch on that this big talking ends up with losses or in the case of Corey and Robert, a boring fight.

Well, in Josh Haynes' defense, he's not a loser he's just too powerful for one guy. In ufc 69 he took down the ref, it was a good thing Luke Cummo was there to stop him from being set loose on the crowd.
Dude thats right on dude. like marlon simms. that guy talks the most shit in the world and he got his ass handed to him.

To those who think Emerson has a future in MMA,I say put the crack pipe down. He is an immature punk who can't even muster enough skill to beat a complete newcomer.

by the way , i'd like to add that cory is an average joe that lied on a job application to be an mma fighter , he has never fought and probably wasn't even a fan since he didn't know any of the big names , emerson got beat in a close match against an average joe lol, i guess i'll try out for season 6!!!!

WOW , i'm surprised just about everyone thought cory lost!!!!!
My take is , round 1 cory round 2 emerson and whoever won the 3rd round won the fight.......after reading your blogs i watched the fight again and emerson didn't land a leg kick until 2 minutes was left in the round , by this time cory had hit him with 15 jabs and a couple of rights!!!! it was a one sided blow out until 2 minutes left then emerson began to land his kicks (which were only 4 kicks!!!) is that enough to steal a round???? judges are taught to break a round into 3 parts (because there were only 3 minutes in boxing but i know mma is different) well if you apply the same principle then corey won the 1st 3 minutes easy and with 2 minutes left i give one to cory leaving only the last minute to emerson.....now it is possible to do enough damage in 1 minute to win an entire round but ask yourself , did 4 leg kicks do enough to steal it , i mean i just watched this before i typed my 1st word....go back and watch and tell me i'm wrong
the only people who think emerson won HAVE to think he won the 1st 2 rounds because cory definately won the final round and i think he won the 1st

Anyone else think that Emerson got robbed by the decision?
i agree. not total robbery, but the wrong guy got the decision.
I cannot believe they gave the fight to Emerson, that is completely stupid. As for the Luzon fight, I had some good feeling that he would dominate, and quickly. I cannot wait to see what he does in a real test of skills.

Better this week, but the Emerson fight was disappointing. Don't get me wrong, for Corie's first fight, he has talent, and I believe he will be a contender.

Later
Chris Valentine
they gave the fight to hill. i'm sure this was a typo.
I think they give it to corey, because he know how put a show with his dog barks. Believe it or not, UFC (sometimes, not always) likes a little drama. UFC today VS UFC Joyce Gracie time is two different things in all aspects, but since i am UFC fun i have accept some cr***p too before i get the real actions. Nothings stays pure now adays, they mix up some s****t to spice up.

Make no mistake, this is not the last we will EVER hear of Robert Emerson. Emerson obviously has the talent and he has the drive and the heart to be very good fighter. If Emerson performed and had the mentality the way he did in the 2nd round, then there would be no question that he would've owned the 3rd round and thereby earning the victory. But mark my words, this is not the last the world will ever hear of Robert Emerson. HE DESERVES A UFC CONTRACT and we will see him fight in the UFC 2 or 3 years from now. Make no mistake about that. Peace.
Dana hates guys who dont come to fight. I doubt this guy will make it out of the WEC.
Emerson didn't come out to fight?! Seriously, were you on acid when you watched that fight? Do me a favor, ask Corey Hill if Emerson came prepared to fight and then ask Nate Diaz the same question as well.
Ah, no, no acid for me. Emerson didnt listen to his corner, didnt exploit his opponents weaknesses, didnt press the action, and most of all, at best fought an even fight with a guy who was 0-0 upon entering. Emerson was a pro kickboxer before turning MMA fighter. On that note alone this should have been a complete annihilation, and instead was a bob and weave fest. The hesitancy on Corey's face was to be expected, but on a guy's who's spent half his life in a ring or cage? Can you imagine what Nate, Manny, or Joe woulda done to this guy? And who's the one on acid?
After watchin thiat bjj vid with joe Lauzon i think joe woulda broke one of those tooth pick legs off
Well Rob you said after the first fight you should of brought it and you should have listened to yourself when you were given a 2nd Chance. I really like your attitude and I even thought you won the second fight but you DID NOT BRING ON YOUR GAME. You can take the punches so you should have pressed Corey and never let up on him. And Corey I think you should be BOOTED not only because of your LACK OF Mixed Martial Art Skills but for giving a FALSE FIGHTING RECORD. Finally to you Dana I know this is a form of REALITY TV but I rather watch fighters with TALENT than who give COLOR to the between the scenes action but I guess it helps your RATINGS!

Manny would have plowed in on cory took him down and pulverized him then ripped his arm off and beat him with the wet end. First round Tap out.

Joe would have shattered corys legs then a right bomb would have stopped it after Cory ended up on his a$$.
First round KO.

Nate would win in the late second round after a bit of scramblng on the ground with a choke. Second round refree stoppage after cory forgot to tap.

Its funny I am sitting here trying to remember the other guys who made it through and cant... Thats not a good sign for those guys.
