“I would love to fight Chuck Liddell. That is the fight that would pay me the most and do the most for my career.”

– PRIDE Middleweight and Welterweight champion Dan Henderson recently told Nokaut.com that he’d like to fight UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Chuck Liddell despite recent comments from UFC President Dana White in which he claimed, “Henderson doesn’t want to fight Chuck Liddell.”

eh… an okay fight. I wonder if Coutore would corner either. Yeah he fought Chuck but they’ve also known each other along time. Yeah Randy trained with Dan. But what was the “reason” Randy started his own gym. Did something happen between him and Dan or Matt Lindland or anyone at Team Quest? Was it his marrige? 2 B honest, I’m just talking… who knows? I think Randy and Chuck make good friends even if they fight each other again!

Yeah he’s tough but I’d rather see him fight Silva first personally, let him prove it was more then just a fluke night. I think Rua vs Liddell will be a better fight after Ice smashes Page.

I think it’d be a damn good fight. What bothers me is Dana White doing his usual kneejerk bashing of non-UFC fighters (”Henderson doesn’t want to fight Chuck Liddell”). Maybe it’s just an old habit, and it was his job to do that stuff before, but Dana now has an interest in PRIDE’s fighters. Henderson-Liddell could be a big draw. Dana better have his eye on the bigger picture, like promoting PRIDE-UFC fights and making sure that PRIDE stays viable by retaining top talent. I can’t imagine that the Fertitas spent tens of millions of dollars on PRIDE just to make it whither up and die.

I think this would a better match-up than Wandy Vs. Liddell. Maybe i’m wrong, But Dan is more accurate, cautiously aggressive, not like wandy who would go out swingin and chuck would land a counter and lights out. Dan’s style would definately Bring the best outta Chuck. I would love to see this fight and see Liddell’s hand up in the end. I’m a Chuck fan, But dan has a good chance. Still would have to say 8/10 fight’s for Liddell.
..See ya..

I think Dan has some good skills, and I think he would not do too bad against chuck Liddell. I like Chuck, but I really think sooner or later that someone is going to expose a whole in his game. I think if someone could figure out how to get them to ground and keep him there that he would get dominated, but that is one of his strengths (not going to the ground).

I worry that there is going to be some bad blood between Dana white, and the Fertitas. My thought behind this is due to Dana always saying something with so much definite, and yet he ends up having to recant his previous statements.

Just some thoughts (really out there)

Suprisingly many in here don’t think it would be a good fight. I am on the other side of the fence on this one. I think this would be a great fight. I’m actually excited to see this one go down. Personally I think this will be the first Super Bowl Event Main Event. I mean hendo is rightfully PRIDE’s finest. I want Liddell/Shogun, Liddell/Silva, but Liddell/Hendo is the best 205er in the world. From there we work into these other fights.

You guys are crazy..Henderson will give Chuck a run for his money which is exactly why Dany White wont make this fight happen. Henderson matches up perfectly with Liddel..great chin..outstanding wrestling..loves to stand and bang..Hendo by decision..although it would be a great fight..i believe he can take Chuck the distance

Will Chuck Lindell continue after Jackson? I mean sure Jackson has a shot but when Lindell wants to win, he wins.

My fear is that he will retire soon. He’s made his money, earned his fame, and is probably pound for pound the most dangerous man on the planet. What’s left for him to do in the UFC?

Personally, I’d like to see him retire with the belt.

1) He wanted to win the MWGP and Rampage destroyed him.
2) The most dangerous man on the planet, the alpha male, is Fedor Emelianenko until someone beats him.

Again, I dont care what Dana White says, the fight all MMA fans wanna see is Rua v Liddell. They are both tops in their orgs at their weight. Shogun, just like Fedor, only has a loss on his record due to injury. No one has ever BEAT them in the ring or cage.

MTUFC, didn’t Shogun lose to Sobral by choke! For some reason I remember seeing that, although I do not remember. If so it was a while ago. But I do remember the Injury, broken arm right?

lets see here henderson never beeing knocked out. henderson fighting in three diffrent weight classes and doing well in all of them henderson taking down everyone he faces.henderson holding two title belts.liddel cannot claim any of this.not to say white is afraid to have lidell henderson fight take place because all of his great champions always seen to loose.with all henderson to this date that no one else has done he deserves the respect of beeing cosidered the second best fighter in the world behind feder
