Jist?
Was Lindland doing the interveiw with his walker?
Great fighter, but kinda aged to be saying he will walk through young, hard opponents.

It would be nice to see Linland back in the UFC. He is still recognized as one of the top 185ers if not the top one. I say give him a 2-3 fight contract and see what happens. if he gets his ass kicked against the young talent his contract and probably his career will end soon after that. They upside is that if he does well the UFC has him under contract. The even bigger news would be to get Dan Hendo. Hendo as we all know has 2 PRIDE belts right now and he’s a beast. Would love to see Hendo in the mix but I doubt it now that Zuffa owns Pride, and the organization has been said to hold it’s own intity. We will see Hendo on one of the those superbowl events.

they asked him what he thought about nate marquardt getting a title shot and what would happen if he fought nate,he said he would put marquardt on his back and punch a hole in his face and it would be no challenge, then they asked if he was going back to ufc, and he said there hasn’t been a good enough offer that they tried to get him on “the game show” but the offer wasn’t good enough, then they asked if he went back to ufc would ufc still allow him to coach on ifl and he his answer was that the ufc is trying hard to sign dan henderson

all three were short questions and answers, this is pretty much all that was said…

i think lindland would beat marquardt’s ass, and i think he’d be a nice addition to the mw div in the ufc, it sounds like he might want more than he’s worth though…

He basically said Nate is nothing, and he could walk right threw him and destroy him without any issues at all.

this is exactly right. I still think he’s great but I don’t think he’s worth a fortune

thanks spida…and luppers thanks for the correction……i really dont mind that Lindland is not in the ufc, the guy is boring to watch, not to mention hes got the most cockeyed looking stand up i have seen……he should already know that the ufc is not gonna pay top dollar to get him, not many people like watching him fight, and there is no way he could get as many fans as Anderson or Rich…which equals less money for ufc………Marquet is no slouch, he would have to watch out for an arm bar, apparently he cant defend those very well…….and “the game show”…as ridiculous as the show may be at times, it pretty much made ufc mainstream, which in turn is making all of mma mainstream, i think fighters owe a lot to the show and what it has done…..I think Din Thomas said it best, he said that “Us older guys paved the way for the TUF guys, and in turn they paved the way for us.

lindland is kind of the couture of the 185s. just not as nice of a guy. good fight style though. would love to see randy vs fedor. i think if randy punched him in the face like lindland did, randy could handle fedor a lot better on the ground.

Thanks spida also, It would be great to have Lindland in the middleweight division. Always loved watching him fight and think he could become another middleweight powerhouse in the UFC….

I dont think that Zuffa should put Dan Henderson in the UFC right at this moment. The guy is building a legacy in Japan, one of the most popular fighters in the world.. Granted brining him to the UFC would get the UFC more international exposure, but *shrug.*

I think there is a lot of fighters that would wipe the floor with Lindland, Loiseau, Franklin, Silva… GSP and Hughes if they ever decided to step up. But he would put on some GREAT shows with alot of 185lb contenders.

i dont know why it was said that the ufc is trying to sign hendo. if he is under contract with pride then he can fight in the ufc as well. i dont believe all the spin about the two being seperate entities. if a fighter is under contract with pride, then he can fight in the ufc or vice versa. look what dana said about him buying pride or being part of it. he said dont believe any of it, then a day or two later there he was smiling like the cat who swallowed the canary at the takeover announcement. i like dana alot and think he’s great for the sport but i dont believe a word he say’s.

Man, the new Pride Worldwide is getting pretty weak with the loss and possible losses of Barnett, Sergei, Large Nog, Fedor, Wanderlei and now Dan. This is a huge opportunity for Bodog and the K1/EliteXC alliance to snatch up a large majority of the big name Pride fighters which is a shock to me b/c you would think Zuffa would have these guys locked up for $70 mil.
Each fighter that Pride Worlwide loses is a superfight the fans miss out on.

I don’t think he’s number #1 in the world and if he came to the ufc everyone would know it.
