Jon Fitch UFC Fight Night 10 florida

“I will be in the cage in June to fight Roan Carneiro from BTT. He is a very skilled ground fighter and BTT is a top ten gym in the world. So dont be fooled just because you might not have heard of him before. Im sure it will be a good scrap. He just beat Rich “No Love” Clemente at a UFN a couple months ago. You can watch it on UFC On Demand. I have been training full swing the last couple of weeks and this training camp is off to a great start. Sorry I haven’t put up any recent blogs. I will try to put up a few every week to let you all know how things are going. I will have more details about the fight in the weeks to come. Time to rest for me now, then back to the gym to get better at the beatdown.

Word!”

– UFC welterweight contender Jon Fitch confirms his upcoming bout with Brazilian Top Team product Roan Carneiro at UFC Fight Night 10 on June 12 via his MySpace page.

Fitch will drop this guy. Add another “W” to his record. Deserves more credit, and needs to fight better class of fighters

This is a good test for both fighters. I expect Fitch to pull this out, but who the hell knows. With Big Nog here to help train the BTT guys fighting in the states now, I expect to see the “American”-Brazilian Top Team fighters to start making a mark. This fight may not be it though…

Fitch gets no love from the Ufc i think hes 5-0 in the octagon now, and his match ups are getting no air time and hes getting no title shot. Dana is going to wait so long Hes going to lose like Mike Swick before he has a chance for a title. The politics of Ufc are pretty fuck up

I’m psyched that the BTT guys are now goin’ to be fighting in the UFC. Now if we can get Ricardo Arona over here then we’d have a really competitive LHW division.

I would love to see Soko here, but since he’s trained by Hendo, and Wandy doesnt have the title anymore, I dont think he’s goin anywhere. But maybe at the Superbowl, Soko v Liddell?

Hell yeah!! That Soko guy is LEGIT!!! A danger to anybody with a belt. I would love to see him thrown into the mix. I don’t really know a lot about this Ficth guy, and I can see why now, but I hope he is as good as he is cracked up to be. Could add some more spice to the WW division.

You’re not alone. Nate Marquardt and Fitch are two awesome fighters the UFC has done nothing to market. At least Nate’s getting a title shot, so maybe the casual fans will get to see one of the top five MW’s in the world fight.
