Barnett is a beast. He’s also prob. the smartest fighter in MMA. He beats Big Nog and captures the UFC crown AGAIN if he ever gets the chance to enter the Octagon.

Wow! This would be huge. The HW division getting deeper. This would be yet another major move. Rumors about Colemen coming back also. I know I know…some of you will jump all over me about bringing up The Hammer. I’m just interested in making the sport more interesting. You never know with a guy like Coleman. Barnett can definetly bang with the best. Everytime I turn I hear about a new fighter wanting to come over. I know Baroni, and Linland are free agents out there. The ultimate would be Fedor

I don’t really like Josh’s downin on UFC, I don’t think the cage slows down the fight much, maybe a little when stuck up against in a clinch, but in pride, it is replaced my multiple resets of position back in the middle of the ring. The judging system in pride also leaves to much to the judges, it is not an “absolute” method. At least in UFC the judging is consistantly the same, or at least thats the idea, using the points. In Pride, the judges bias’s, and personal opinions may affect there descision.
I would like to see Josh in UFC. It would be intersting, only adding more spice into the mix. But I don’t think he could get the belt.

SUMMARY:In no particular order.
He said he likes the pride Judgeing system better.

Said fighting in the UFC is much more appealing now that they have real competition besides AA and Sylvia.

Said Fedor is still deciding what he is gonna do, but basically, everybody is begging for him.

Claims the cage slows the fight a bit.

Has no beef with Dana White.

With all the pride takeover and all, has no idea where he will end up, and that when the takeover occured, and the rules and people in charge changed, what made pride pride, vanished, and wont be the same.

Fighting over there you get treated like a super hero, Vs. here like a comodity.
Think thats about it haha.

DAMN right the ultimate would be fedor….ive been waiting for him for so long…god it makes me squirm to think about him beating down whoever….i would also love to see his bro. theres alot of rumor squirling around fedor now…hopefully we should know for sure where he stands May.1. To explain for those who dont know….dana is stating fedor is still under contract under pride, however fedor is stating hes not… may.1 is basically the day that dreamstage steps down perm, there in the process of going thru contracts to know who they have and dont have…..i hope either way he comes to the UFC. I believe like they say that hes the world most dangerous mma fighter hands down!!! He would be the ULTIMATE!!

ajadoniz, I hope you were joking. Ken Shamrock is a puts, and is just as bad for the sport as the Tito vs Dana ordeal was. As for Barnett, he is pretty good. I feel like he is UFC level, but I am just not a huge fan. He has beat some tough guys, and I would never deny his talent, I am just not a fan. His last fight was actually a loss to Nogueira. I think he is an amazing submission heavy weight, and he would be a good addition the the UFC.

I dont like Barnetts style at all. I think he is to stiff and i have a problem with all athletes who has been tested positive for AAA or other substances.

I had the luck to talk with Dana this past week in Manchester and he said that Fedor wasnt under contract with pride right now. He also said that all of pride, has and still was a bit like the wild west. Alot of the fighters there are claiming that their former contracts are invalid now and wanna redo them.
But fighters like Fedor and i guess Barnett too want to fight the best to prove that they are the best so with UFC and pride signing the best the other will follow. I dont think we are gonna se Fedor walking aorund in bodog and just collecting wins and checks, thats gotto be to boring for him.

yes it is getting fun. depending on how tuff gonzaga or randy really is it seems to me that the competition in the hv devision is getting so strong that the belt may not settle long in any one persons hands. now i dont know if gonzaga is the new fedor of the ufc but the big guy has some really good striking ability with a excellent ground game. its not that many hv that can through a accurate and controlled head kick like that. i really cant wait for the future matchups and i know that you all also know that things are getting really exciting

Now we’re talking suddenly the dead divisions are the lhwt and midwt. Welter and heavy are packed with potential. Light weights are gonna get a boost from UFC5 fighters, I am really impressed by a few of them.

Middle wts has Silva and franklin.
Light Heavies has Liddell and tito.
Sad aint it…

What do you think about a dvd that should come out called Set-ups and Up-sets. Make it a compliation or wicked matches and upsets.

While I’d like to see Josh Barnett fight, I wouldnt mind him staying at Pride. I think if they keep Pride and the UFC as balanced as possible, it will make the “Super Bowl” that much more interesting.

Let’s face it, with the take-over, Pride will be advertising more over here and will be picking up more American fans and deals with TV stations.

Hahaha, Cro cop knocked half the damn HW in the world! It takes nothing away from Barnett & his abilities. He’ll mop the floor with any HW on the lower “A tier” or below. Barnett coming to UFC is definately a catalyst to the HW division.

In Pride, you fight or you get a loss. In the UFC, you takedown, lay and pray, and win. The ten point must system is for boxing, not MMA.

Josh seems like a cry baby! He is wrong about the fight being slowed down in the cage. If anything its the other way around. Fights are alwasy being stopped in mid stream due to fighters falling thru the ropes or getting tangled in them or going out of bounce.

He is also wrong about the UFC HW division being weak until they signed the Pride guys.
IE:
Monson Def Fujita by sub
Arlovsky Def Werdum by dec
Gonzaga def Cro Cop by KO
Nuff said about that.

Every item he used to describe the Pride scoring system and why its better is used in the UFC to determine the winner of each rd, the diff is it is a round by round system. But the criteria is the same.

You not really a star in the UFC? LOL what a tool, The biggest stars in MMA including Fedor are Chuck, Randy, Ortiz and Fedor!!
This is world wide! Not just the US.

I think that when Josh beat Randy for the belt, that if he was still in the UFC, he would still be champion. The only fighter ever to give him a problem was Cro Cop. When he fights it doesn’t matter how much of a beating he is taking when he is going for his submisions, he never gives up, and he eventually nearly always manages to get them. People used to talk a lot about Frank Mir being excellent at submisions, but he is nothing compared to Josh. He is definately one of my top 3 heavyweight fighters.
