I just want to pass this along:

Here are a few tips on how the lines work in MMA fighting.

Those ( ) and (-) numbers you see next to a fight is called the Money Line.

Its all based on $100.

If a fighter is a FAVORITE, they will have a minus (-) line.
For instance, in UFC 70, Cro Cop is a -500 Favorite. That means, in order for you to WIN $100, you must wager $500. So if you bet $100 on Cro Cop to WIN, your Total Payout would only be $120.

Easy right?

Now, if a fighter is an UNDERDOG, they will have a plus ( ) line. For instance, Gabriel Gonzaga is a ( 350) Underdog against Cro Cop. That means, for every $100 you wager, you win $350 back! So, if you bet $100 on Gonzaga to WIN, your Total Payout be $450!

Its that simple.

The secret to being profitable is being smart about the ODDS, not necessarily the fighters.

On the Matt Serra vs georges St. Pierre fight, the line opened at (-900) in favor of St. Pierre, which made Serra's odds ( 600).

Due to people STILL betting on St. Pierre, in the days leading up to the fight, the line got even further apart, with St. Pierre at one point being a (-1200) favorite! You would have had to wager $1200 just to make $100!

By the time the fight started, it leveled back out to ( 600) for Serra, and the few people that put money on him, took home a boatload. When odds get that staggering, you will often times see people putting money down just because the payout is so big. That is an example of playing the ODDS, not the fighters. You might not think somebody will win, and neither do the oddsmakers, but this is MMA, and as we've seen in the last few UFC's, anything can happen, and you need to capitalize on that to take home some coin.

Werdum is a superb and proven talent, my AA call is just a gut feeling. I think Werdum is better than Sylvia as well. Time will tell, but he's going to make a big immpression in HW division.

Whoever loses is going to be sitting on the mat shaking their head and thinking man one little mistake and look me.

I would agree with everything except Werdum, No offense to AA, but Werdum is gonna be a major player in the UFC HW division. I would rank him above even Tim Sylvia and under CC, Nog and Randy(he IS the champ).

The fight will be exciting and it will be close, but my money is on Werdum.
