I think Joe Stevenson's 32g was a nice check considering how he handled Guillard. I think its great to pay the guys a decent wage to show up, but if you win you should make more than the loser. I hate that for Roan Carneiro.
For the UFC to get to the next level they need to pay the top half of contract fighters a upper middle class income. These guys need to move out of their parents house and have fighting and training as a full time job. I hope some day soon UFC fighters make as much as NBA players. They deserve it!

Wow, allot of you don't have any clue what these guys really make. Most have mad sponsors that pay big time. Think about Fight night, Kenny probably hates xyience, but he sure tried to act like he was drinking it. I do think that some of them may be underpaid, but if you are fighting UFC than you are no slouch.

I can't believe how little they get paid. It's nuts. Some kid that went to my highschool got singed to the colts as a third stringer and gets a 10,000 dollar check every week. This was before they won the super bowl. It is a shame that they put there heart and soul in to there traing and have very little, money wise, to show for it. If your wondering who the kid that got signed is it's Tywan Hagler.

Must be hard times as a fighter. Compared to the rest of the sports its almost buttons if your not a star name. I wonder how much it is all in for an average fighter to live on, including paying all the bills for there house, training, food, gear and there family.

At Pride 33 no fighter went home with less than 10k at least. Its not alot better, but with an average of 24k its alot better than what I've seen the UFC paying. Rather pay the fighters better and decrease their purse by 10% with those nice yellow cards like in Pride. Fighters benefit from it, the fans do and ultimately the entire event as well as the UFC as an organization.

174K is a joke and not all fighters have great sponsorship deals. I think there should be base salaries and set incentives for fight results: $10k bonus for knockout or sub, $5k for decision, etc. Just set a fair payscale that rewards fighters for going all out. Maybe the Lamiac, for example, would fight harder if he knew he'd get 1ok more to stop someone early!

Since Dana thinks that all of us UFC fans make $72,000 a year, I think there should be a gauranteed base salary for all active UFC fighters of $72,000.

Some of these guys are the working poor.

NSAC numbers mean nothing. These guys are getting paid way more than what you see here and if they have a good agent and good sponsorships, then they are going great.

Some of the past 'awards' and 'bonuses' on a fight night have been over $60K to one person and you will never see that published. I don't agree keeping everything secret, but that's how Zuffa is choosing to operate right now. Take these numbers with a grain of salt unless you hear otherwise from a fighter on this card.

sure hope there not in it for the money.

Good point You tapped. These guys aren't makin enough for the work they put in, at this level, however some of these bigger fights are paying out quarter million dollars, that is the gold at the end of the rainbow they're all fighting for.
